While en route the reporting party stated the vehicle had left the scene. On my arrival I spoke with the R/P who stated while riding his bike down Newtonville Ave he observed a black colored landscaping pickup truck back out of Pillion Court onto Newtonville Ave and hit a fire hydrant across the Street. Its possible the driver never knew he struck the hydrant. The R/P never saw the driver or the license plate number. Fire department and water department were notified and were responding.
