MV 1 was travelling southbound on Cook St, failed to stop at a stop sign and went through the intersection. MV 2 had the right of way and was traveling eastbound on Green St, when MV 2 struck the passenger side of MV 1. I observed moderate damage to the right side of MV 1 and moderate damage to the front of MV 2. i spoke with a witness on scene and the witness narrative is attached. Newton Medic 3 cleared with a patient refusal. Tody's towed MV2, and MV 1 was able to be driven away from the scene. I cited the operator of MV 1 for failure to stop at a stop sign (89/9). 2100000501,2021-07-10T13:48,2021-07-10,13:48,1450 WASHINGTON ST,EAST 1450 WASHINGTON ST,,0,35,0,1,"On July 10, 2021 at approximately 13:48 hours I responded to the area of 1450 Washington St for a report of a two vehicle crash. Upon arrival, I observed two vehicles with damage in the roadway at 1450 Washington St where the rotary of Washington St crosses over the I90E onramp with damage. MV1 was traveling Eastbound on Washington St and said that they had the green light. They continued through the intersection to the I90E on ramp when MV2 went through the intersection to continue traveling east on Washington St. MV1 was unable to stop in time and struck the passenger's side of MV2. The operator of MV2 was visibly shaken up by the crash and I had the medics respond to evaluate. The operator of MV2 declined medical attention and said that she did not know what happened or if she had a red light. After running both parties, it was discovered that the operator of MV2 had an expired MA license. She was able to renew her license while waiting for a ride but was issued MA uniform citation T2014511 for MGL90/10- Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle and MGL 89/9- Failure to stop at red light. After a brief encounter, without exchanging information, he then drove away. The operator of MV2 stated he was stopped at the red light Westbound on Crafts St. at the intersection of North St, when he was rear ended by MV1. He stated the operator got out of the vehicle briefly, then proceeded back into the car and drove off. MV1 sustained minor front end damage. MV2 sustained minor rear end damage. All parties involved were uninjured. MV2 was able to drive from the scene safely. After further investigation, the operator of MV1, SOUZA DE BRITOS, Warley, was issued Massachusetts Uniform Citation # T2012851 for Chap. 90 Sec. 10 Unlicensed Operation, and Chap. 90 Sec. 24 Leaving the Scene of Property Damage.
