Mr. Rankin stated his vehicle (vehicle 1) was parked unoccupied by the curb at 70 Orchard Ave ( Public way in the City of Newton) on Tuesday, August 31. Later that day, he discovered damage to his drivers side mirror. He stated that a note was left behind stating that Massachusetts registration: V91699 struck his vehicle and left the area. He does not know who left the note due to no contact information being left behind. Mr. Rankin showed me a picture of the damage and it appears vehicle 2 side swiped vehicle 1 causing significant damage to the mirror. Mr. Rankin did research and discovered that the plate is registered to JCAC Enterprise out of Milford and provided me with a phone number. It should be noted that when I queried the plate it comes back to that company as well. I will attempt to follow up with the company during business hours on my next tour of duty. On September 3, I called JCAC Enterprise and spoke with an employee who stated they do not have any information on someone driving a truck in the area.
