Upon arrival I observed Ma Reg 9LL519 on the island facing eastbound in the intersection of Commonwealth Ave and Homer St. The vehicle hit and knocked the traffic signal off its base and landed in the eastbound lane of Homer Street. Operator, O'CONNOR James, states he was travelling Eastbound on Commonwealth Ave and attempted to turn right onto Homer Street. He was unable to pull out of the turn due to the snowy and icy conditions and slid into and knocked over the traffic signal. I was able to move the signal out of the lane of traffic and onto the center island and Dagle Electric was notified. Two pictures were taken and attached to this report. O'CONNOR's vehicle was inoperable and was towed by Tody's. At the time of the accident it was difficult to determine what the damage was. Most serious damage appears to be to the under carriage, rendering the vehicle inoperable.","[""Crash"", ""Ice"", ""Pictures"", ""Severe"", ""Snow"", ""Solar""]","[""Too fast for conditions""]",[7],/static/reports/22000141.pdf,/static/images/22000141.png,"Commonwealth Avenue & Homer St, Newton, MA 02459, USA",42.3380258,-71.2115805,0,2022-02-23T16:27:13.495192 22000145,2022-02-13T18:32,2022-02-13,18:32,49 BALDPATE HILL RD,NORTH 49 BALDPATE HILL RD,,0,25,0,0,"Operator of MV1 stated they were coming down their very steep driveway at 40 Baldpate Hill Rd. when their vehicle slid across the street, and into the front exterior of 49 Baldpate Hill Rd. Upon arrival on scene I activated my emergency lights and exited my cruiser to check on all parties and notified dispatch of the crash. I observed both vehicles had airbag deployment and notified for medics to respond. The operator of vehicle one stated he was traveling north on Walnut Street when vehicle two traveled through Prospect Ave onto Walnut Street into his path of travel causing impact. The operator of vehicle two stated he was traveling east, down hill on Prospect Ave, he applied his brakes and his vehicle slide uncontrollable downhill through the intersection onto Walnut Street where vehicle one had impact with his vehicle, which caused him to spin around onto the curb striking a City tree and sidewalk. The vehicle was close to a retaining wall belonging to 580 Walnut Street but did not appear to have had contact. Fire and medics arrive on scene, to check on both parties due to both vehicles having airbag deployment. Both parties declined medical treatment and stated they did not have any injuries. Prospect Ave and Walnut Street were both covered with ice/snow and untreated. I notified for a sander to treat the roadways which was a contributing factor of the crash. Todys towing arrived on scene and towed both vehicles to their tow lot. All parties advised of the process. I took pictures of the City property damage that I will download at the I.T. Bureau.","[""Airbag"", ""Crash"", ""Fire"", ""Ice"", ""Pictures"", ""Solar"", ""Tree""]",[],[],/static/reports/22000149.pdf,/static/images/22000149.png,"Walnut St & Prospect Ave, Newton, MA 02460, USA",42.3415191,-71.2066448,0,2022-02-17T16:27:12.042348
