Upon arrival I spoke with the operator of motor vehicle 2, GIRARD Kathleen, who states that she was driving from the 2nd aisle of parking spots into the main travel lane to attempt to exit the mall. When she attempted to turn left she didnt see motor vehicle 1 already in the lane of traffic striking the side of the vehicle. After speaking with GIRARD I spoke with the operator of motor vehicle 1, SONG Guang min. SONG did not speak english, but he corroborated what GIRARD had stated by using a translation app on his cell phone. GIRARD had damage to the front of her vehicle and SONG had damage to the drivers side of his vehicle. Both vehicles were still operable and were driven from the scene. MV2 struck his front bumper with the right side of her vehicle. Operator of MV1 states he spoke with the operator of MV2 who stated to him she didn't see him merging onto Walnut Street because she was on her cell phone. MV1 sustained damage to the front bumper. Operator of MV2 states she was traveling southbound on Walnut Street and struck MV1 when he was merging into traffic. I asked the operator of MV2 if she was on her cell phone, which she first denied, but admitted to having the cell phone in her hand. MV2 sustained extensive damage to the right side of the vehicle and needed to be towed, which was removed from the roadway by Tody's towing. The operator of MV2 was queried and had an expired license. Massachusetts uniform citation #T2012863 was issued to the operator of MV2 for MGL Ch. 90 Sec. 10 Operating MV w/o a license and MGL Ch. 90 Sec. 13B Use of Electronic Device. Upon arrival I found the operator of veh #1 pulled into the driveway of #742 Chestnut St. The operator of veh #1 stated she was driving South on Chestnut St when veh #2 drove from her right off the exit ramp without stopping and struck her in the passenger side front. Operator #1 stated operator #2 gave her a license but she never got the license plate or insurance company. I queried operator #2 and came up with the registration and insurance company to give operator #1. Unknown damage to vehicle #2. Veh #1 was towed by David and Tody's Towing with moderate damage. Upon arrival I spoke with the operator, GERSHON Andrew, of motor vehicle #1 (6HS292). GERSHON states he was traveling Westbound on Dedham Street toward Brookline Street when he approached the driveway at 832 Dedham Street and motor vehicle #2 started to pull out in front of him. GERSHON states as he saw the vehicle pull out he swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid the collision, however motor vehicle #2 struck the passenger side of his vehicle. After the collision GERSHON attempted to pull back into his lane of travel, but lost control causing him to overcorrect and go off the road on the westbound side of the road in front of 824 Dedham Street causing some damage to the front landscaping of the yard. Secondly, I spoke with the operator, JIN Zhien, of motor vehicle #2 (EV87SA). JIN states she was attempting to pull out of the driveway of 832 Dedham Street and didn't see motor vehicle #1. JIN states she was distracted because there was a lot going on inside the car. She stated she was not on her cell phone. Finally I also spoke with a witness, CURTIS Ron, who was travelling in the opposite direction and witnessed the crash. Ron stated he saw motor vehicle #1 travelling straight in the opposite direction on Dedham Street. He saw the Tesla (MV#2) attempting to pull out of the driveway at 832 Dedham Street and drive into the side of MV#1. Ron stated he also observed MV#1 swerve into his lane of traffic trying to avoid the collision and then spinning out into the front of 824 Dedham Street.
