VEHICLE #2 STATES SHE WAS IN THE PARKING LOT AND DID NOT GO INTO A STALL BECAUSE SHE WAS WATCHING HER SON WHO WAS IN DUNKIN DONUTS. SHE STATED SHE BEEPED AND TRIED TO GET VEHICLE #1 ATTENTION BUT SHE STILL BACKED INTO HER VEHICLE. VEHICLE #1 HAD NO DAMAGE. VEHICLE #2 HAD MINOR LEFT QTR. PANEL DAMAGE. BOTH VEHICLES WERE OPERATIONAL AND LEFT THE SCENE ON THEIR OWN. I CHECKED WITH DUNKIN DONUTS FOR THE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE PARKING LOT. EMPLOYEE COULD NOT GET THE VIDEO TO WORK. AS OF THIS WRITING FROM BOTH STATEMENTS IT IS UNCLEAR WHO WAS AT FAULT. WILL CHECK WITH THE MANAGER IN THE MORNING. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. ON 2-1-22- AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET THE VIDEO FOOTAGE FROM THE DUNKIN DONUTS ( 1250 WASHINGTON ST ) I WAS UNSUCCESSFUL SINCE THEY WERE STILL HAVING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. V1 operator; Magazine, Jerod, MA OLN #SA2390987. V2; MA Reg. 341CE8, 2008 Jeep/GRACHE util. color black. V2 Operator; Davis, Michael, MA OLN#S12649728. The crash occurred on Grove St. directly in front of the entrance to 275 Grove St./Riverside Center and directly across from the Woodland Park Apt. complex. V2 operator stated he was exiting the apt complex turning left onto Grove St. (southbound). At that time V1 travelling southbound on Grove St. collided into the passenger side of V2. The roadway is two way divided by a median island. There is a traffic light that set on flash at the time of the crash. Both operators stated their visibility was obstructed by the snow bank on the median island. Neither of the operator's were injured as a result of the collision. there was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Both vehicles were driveable and did not require towing services. Operator of the vehicle, identified as NOVAIS Eduardo, states he was driving Westbound on Nahanton Street following a Smart Car when ""out of nowhere"" the Smart Car made a U-Turn in the middle of the road reversing direction on Nahanton Street. NOVAIS states the only way he could avoid a collision with the car was pull hard to the right which he did, striking a snow bank on the side of the road. NOVAIS states there was a verbal exchange between he and the female driver, but she drove away. NOVAIS took a picture of the vehicle's license plate, which is EV5791. As of the time of this report I have been unable to speak with the operator of that vehicle. NOVAIS is concerned about damage to his vehicle. Although there was no physical body damage to his vehicle there was a message displayed on his dashboard stating there could be issues with the Chassis and he should schedule maintenance right away.
