I first identified the operator of the box truck, Maurizio Didonna. The truck belonged to Russo's & Sons out of Pleasant St Watertown Ma. Mr Didonna reported driving S/B on Bridge St when he temporarily got distracted before crashing into a parked vehicle in front of #41 Bridge St. The owner of the parked vehicle was not on scene but a male construction worker who was building a new house at #41 Bridge St identified the vehicles owner as Jose Ramirez. He was able to make contact with him and informed him about the accident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. One by Todys. Russo's & Sons truck was towed by Pro Tech out of Watertown. Mr Didonna had a minor injury but refused any medical treatment. Note:The parked SUV had a lot of construction equipment in the rear but was removed by the construction workers from the job site at #41 Bridge St. The parked car was affiliated with the construction site. Upon arrival I observed the crash was during daylight hours, weather was cloudy and the roadway was wet due to recent snow fall that was cleared. I spoke with operator one Mr. Smith he stated he was in the left travel lane heading east on Washington Street when vehicle one swerved left into his lane to go towards Mass pike entrance ramp and had contact with his vehicle. Operator of vehicle two Ms.Bovell stated she was traveling east on Washington Street and observed vehicle one traveling in the middle of both east bound lanes of Washington Street. She stated he then merged left traveling in the left lane of Washington Street and she traveled in the right lane. She stated while traveling vehicle one merged into her lane and side swiped her in the left rear. Upon obtaining all documents, vehicle one operated by Mr. Smith was missing his registration plates, registration and any documents of status of the vehicle. Upon further investigation Mr. Smith had a suspended license of January 26, 2021, in addition the vehicle vin number(1FT7X2B68BEC58523 - 2011 FORD TRUCK ) came back inactive on December 16, 2020, which was allegedly sold to Mr. Smith. in the middle of December 2020. Mr. Smith had no paperwork on the vehicle, therefore vehicle one was towed by Todys Towing 1354 Washington Street Newton and will be impounded until proper documents on owner ship are verified. Mr. Smith was issued in hand citation number # T2017265 for the following 90/23 oper w/ susp lic 90/9 oper w/unreg mv 90/20 insp sticker All parties advised of the process and no injuries reported at this time. Zhu stated as he approached Cynthia Rd, he slightly veered left to avoid a parked MV on Greenwood St. Zhu stated at that time Mv#2 suddenly emerged from Cynthia Rd without stopping turning right onto Greenwood into the path of #1. Zhu stated his driver's side door was struck by the front of #2. Zhu was not injured. #1 sustained significant driver's side door damage. Zhu stated #2 operator stopped after the crash and provided his name Boris Dubinsky, phone number 617-470-4874 and discussed the crash. Zhu took a photo of #2's plate (MA reg 19GA78) before #2 drove away prior to my arrival. Zhu was able to identify #2 as the same operator from an RMV photo query on scene of the plate provided. I responded to Dubinsky's address at 155 Cynthia Rd. I met a woman there who said he was not home. She called the number and said nobody was answering. I had the woman verify the number and she said it was 617-470-3874 (one digit different than above). I told the woman to have Dubinsky call me at HQ. He never did. I called him later from HQ myself. Dubinsky stated he came to a stop at the end of Cynthia Rd. He stated as he turned right, #1 struck him on his left front driver's side because #1 went to the other side of the road due to a truck parked on Greenwood St. I advised him Greenwood St has the right of way and he was required to yield from Cynthia Rd. Dubinsky stated after he gave his name and number, Zhu was on his phone for a period of time so he left. Dubinsky was advised to provide his license and registration to complete the proper exchange after an accident. When asked about the different phone number, he stated Zhu must have typed in the wrong number. I advised Dubinsky I would be citing him for Failure to Yield (Ch89/Sec9) to be sent in the mail.
