Upon arrival i was met by reporting party , Scott Dragonetti who stated he and his wife Jennifer Dragonetti had parked their car on Wednesday 4/21/2021 at approx 1315hrs to go have their baby. Upon returning to the car today Scott found front left damage to his car consistent with somebody backing out of the space next to him. The car had minor creasing and white paint transfer on the front left with damage to the lens covers. NWH security stated to Scott they would check for security footage and relay advise if they found anything. Scott was contacted by NWH security on 4/25/2021that they had footage of the hit and run. I contacted NWH upon my return to work on 4/27/2021 and left a message with NWH Security to forward the footage to my work email. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On Friday, April 30, 2021 I responded to Newton Wellesley Hospital to try and retrieve the survellance footage they have capturing the crash. Security Staff there stated there was a miscommunication and they actually do not have any footage of the crash. I met with the owner of the Volvo ,Beverly DeWitt who stated she is a travelling hospice nurse and had parked at approx 1330hrs to see a client and upon returning found her car damaged. I spoke with the owner of the Jeep , Sabrina Visocchi who stated she had parked her vehicle at approx 2300hrs on 6/16/2021.The vehicles were parked on the westbound side with a high shrub row blocking the view from the house and the adjacent houses had no cameras or residents at home. OpMv#2 was provided with both the registration plate and description of the other vehicle. -I conducted an inspection of the damage to MV#2. I observed there was orange paint transfer on the vehicle's rear bumper, surface scratches; however, I did not observe structural damage of the bumper. -I next made contact with the OpMv#2 by sending Melrose police to his residence. The operator was identified as Norma Greenberg and she was already out of the vehicle and stated she was uninjured. Greenberg stated she was in her vehicle parked in a parking spot attempting to pull out and her vehicle would not go forward. Greenberg stated she kept hitting the gas when the vehicle suddenly took off and went up the stairs. Greenberg reported no prior mechanical defects with the vehicle. It appears she was in neutral and then tapped it into drive as she pressed the accelerator. Newton Fire had to use a saw to take apart the iron railing due to it being wedged into the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Todys. The area was roped off with caution tape due to the damaged railing and I notified the building manager, Jodie Zussman of the report number.
