V1 Operator Marie Leandre TN OLN#127777292. V2; 2021 KIA/Seltos Util. color blue. V2 Operator Robin McDuffie MA OLN#S71750988. V1 was attempting to turn left to exit NWH heading westbound. The traffic signals at the time were on flash red &yellow instead of normal red, green and yellow. The morning commute traffic on Washington St. is heavy at that time of the morning. V1 operator stated she was waved on by the vehicle operator in the turning lane on the westbound side. V1 proceeded to turn left/westbound onto Washington St. and collided into the driver's side of V2 travelling straight ahead westbound in the outside//32 lane of Washington St. ( westbound). V1 Operator stated she did not see V2. V2 confirmed V1 operator's account of the collision. V2 operator also confirmed the traffic lights were on flash red/yellow. Neither operator was injured as a result of the collision nor was there airbag deployment in either vehicle. There were clear tire tracks through the mud on the island tracking on the roadway to confirm this. Upon arrival, MV#1 was observed with damage to its front end and cracked/broken front windshields. The operator of MV#1 stated he had worked all night and had fallen asleep causing the garbage truck he was operating to veer off of the roadway and into the city owned tree in front of 1146 Chestnut St. The tree itself had been knocked over and was across the roadway. A second tree on the property of 1146 Chestnut St. suffered damage. Further, several large tree limbs had fallen a top of MV#2 which was parked in the driveway of 1146 Chestnut St, but no visible damage was observed. The operator of MV#1 declined medical attention and contacted a private tow to remove MV#1 from the roadway. The operator of MV#2 as well as the homeowner of 1146 Chestnut St. were apprised of the situation. Cruiser 502 struck the driver side rear panel and bumper. Operator #1 was not injured. Operator of Vehicle #2 was responding to an emergency with lights and sirens activated. While attempting to navigate through congested traffic, Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the passenger side doors. Operator of Vehicle #2 was not injured. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Operator of MV1 states when the traffic light turned green she accelerated and struck a male party on a recumbent trike with the front bumper of MV1. Operator of MV1 states her visibility was obstructed from the hood of her vehicle because the recumbent trike is very low to the ground. It should be noted the trike had a flag attached to it, which the operator of MV1 stated she didn't see until after the accident happened. MV1 sustained minor damage to front bumpers license plate. No injuries. The bicyclist, Christopher Tsu, states he was traveling eastbound on Beacon Street on his recumbent trike when he came to a stop at the red traffic light at Centre Street. Mr. Tsu states when the traffic light turned green, MV1 struck him in the rear of his trike causing him to fall to the ground. Fallon Medic 5 evaluated Mr. Tsu and he signed a patient refusal.
