I SPOKE WITH THE OPERATOR OF MA DEALER REG 5550 MARISSA DEVLIN WHO STATED SHE HAD STOPPED FOR A PEDESTRIAN IN THE CROSSWALK WHEN SHE WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND. I THAN SPOKE WITH THE OPERATOR OF MA PASSENGER REG 3NM859, THOMAS DORRANCE WHO STATED ' IT APPEARS I'M AT FAULT' DORRANCE STATED HE HAD NOT NOTICED DEVLIN SLOWING AND STOPPING AND RAN INTO THE BACK OF HER. DEVLIN WAS ALSO COMPLAINING OF PAIN FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AND AIRBAG, CATALDO RESPONDED. NFD AND TODYS TOW ARRIVED ON SCENE .NFD USED THE JAWS TO SEPARATE THE TWO VEHICLES TODYS WAS ABLE TO TOW BOTH VEHICLES. DORRANCE SIGNED A PATIENT REFUSAL WITH CATALDO. V1; MA Reg 39WS51, 2016 Mazda/CX5 color blue. V1 Operator; Zannis, John MA OLN#S46913063. V2; MA Reg 1RXS11, 2019 GMC/Yukon color black. V2 Operator Pamela Broderick MA OLN#S85148110. The two vehicles were both traveling eastbound on Washington St.(public way) in traffic. As they came approached the intersection of Washington St. @Beacon St., V1 collided into the rear of V2. V2 sustained minor damage to the center rear bumper. V1 sustained moderate front end damage primarily on the left front/drivers side. The drivers airbag deployed at the stirring wheel. The two vehicles were both drive able and did not require towing service. Upon arrival I observed Ma Reg 35GM68 with front end damage stopped in the right eastbound lane of Washington St at the intersection of Quinobequin Rd, the operator, Silvaneide FADIL was still inside the vehicle with all front airbags deployed. FADIL denied being injured and stated she was coming through the green light from Wales St when the truck in front of her suddenly stopped causing her to crash into it. I spoke with the operator of the truck, who had managed to pull off to the side of the road, Joshua VINCENT, Ma Reg 1182BY, who stated he had just started into the intersection from Wales St after getting the green light when he observed a red Ambulance with lights flashing approaching from Quinobequin Rd, he stopped to allow the ambulance to pass when he was struck from behind by FADIL. VINCENT expanded that as he had just started into the intersection, he was going at a slow speed and did not need to stop suddenly. I was approached by a witness, Donald MCCARTHY( 617-438-1207) who stated he observed the ambulance come though and felt FADIL could not have been paying attention to not see it and stop. Operator of MV1 states that he was traveling EB on Beacon St and slowed down to take a left onto Tudor Rd. He said before he was able to turn his vehicle he was hit from behind by MV2. Operator of MV2 states that he was traveling EB on Beacon St and wasn't sure what happened prior to the accident. He said he's not sure whether or not MV1 had his turn signal activated. Both operators signed medical refusals. Upon speaking with the operator of MV2, they stated that while they drove westbound on Beacon St., the operator of MV1 stopped short while signaling a left hand turn. They then struck MV1 in the rear, as they did not have time to stop. MV3 then struck them in the rear. Upon speaking to the operator of MV3, they stated were traveling westbound on Beacon St. and that everything happened so fast, that they were not sure what happened, but that they drove into the rear of MV2. I noted damage to the right rear bumper cover of MV1 (MA Pass:4NAZ81) and that due to the force of being struck, their spare tire from underneath the vehicle became dislodged; an NFD firefighter placed it in their trunk. I noted extensive damage to the front and rear of MV2 (CT Pass:275RNP) and that it was leaking fluids, which NFD cleaned from the roadway. MV2's front bumper cover, grill, headlights, fenders and hood were damaged. MV2's rear bumper cover/foam was completely dislodged, its muffler was dragging and its trunk, quarter panels and tail lights were damaged. I noted damage to the grill, headlights and steel bumper of MV3 (MA Con: S15127). The operator of MV2 was transported to the hospital with injuries to their face, neck and left knee and MV2 was removed from the roadway by Tody's Services; their airbag did not deploy. MV 2 STATED THAT SHE WAS TRAVELING BEHIND MV 1 AND WHEN MV 1 STOPPED, SHE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO REACT AND STRUCK HIS MV FROM BEHIND. DUE TO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT IN MV 2, THE OPERATOR WAS EVALUATED BY MEDICS AND SIGNED A PATIENT REFUSAL.
