Narrative:
Oper of vehicle # 1 stated that he was traveling EB on Watertown Street and was going through intersection when MV # 2 came into intersection from Pearl Street. Both streets are public ways maintained by the city of Newton. Unsure if it slid on ice or just went through red light. Oper 1 swerved in an attempt to avoid collision but vehicles still collided. Vehicle # 2 immediately left the area. Bumper was hanging off of vehicle # 1. And Oper # 2 stated he had a witness that I was unable to talk too. MV 2 was described as a gray Nissan Pathfinder with RI reg XS837. Dispatch ran XS837 and it came back registered to a gray 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. Due to amount of damage and description given I mailed the owner of MV 2 a citation for Leaving the Scene of Property Damage. No injuries. No tows.
