AS BOTH VEHICLES PASSED BY WILLOW ST, VEHICLE #2, WHO WAS IN THE RIGHT LANE, TRIED TO PASS VEHICLE #1 ON THE RIGHT, WHEN VEHICLE #2 TRIED TO GET IN FRONT OF VEHICLE #1 IT STRUCK THAT VEHICLE, WHICH WAS A COMMERCIAL TRUCK. OPERATOR OF VEHICLE #1 STATED THAT HE NEVER SAW VEHICLE #2. NO INJURIES REPORTED. OFF DUTY NEWTON POLICE OFFICER LAU WITNESSED THE ACCIDENT, WHO WAS STOPPED ON WILLOW ST @ CENTRE ST AND NOTICED VEHICLE #2 TRY TO PASS VEHICLE #1 ON THE RIGHT. VEHICLE #2 OPERATOR WILL BE ISSUED CITATION #T0645460 BY MAIL FOR IMPROPER PASSING AND MARKED LANES VIOLATION.

Elaine Forsythe was operating vehicle #2. Elaine took the exit 17 off ramp and attempted to merge onto the Centre Ave rotary. Elaine states that at this time vehicle #1 struck the back of her vehicle. Brian Radzwill was operating vehicle #1. Brain states that while trying to merge onto the rotary he bumped into vehicle #2. Both vehicles had very minor damage. Forsythe was transported to NWH. Her vehicle was parked at the Richardson St lot, meter #4711. Parking control notified for consideration.

Operator of MV1 parked his vehicle outside his residence from 1100-1600hrs today. When he returned home at 1630, he came outside and noticed someone had struck his rear drivers side bumper. The vehicle had moderate damage and did not require a tow. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the accident and no note or other party information was left. Operator of MV1 requested the accident to be documented for insurance purposes.
