Narrative:
On 7/20/2021 at approx 1054Hrs while assigned to 497 I responded to the area of Grove St and 128 for a report of a two car crash without injuries. Upon arrival i met with Det N Anderson who stated he witnessed Ma Reg 887EZ5 a gray Honda CRV had been pulled to the side attempted to perform a u turn in front of Ma Reg 3EWJ49 a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee causing the collision . i spoke with the operator of the CRV, Michael Helen who stated he realized he had gotten off at the wrong exit on Grove St, pulled over to turn around, did not see the Jeep and pulled out the make a u turn. I spoke with the operator of the Jeep , Ryan Carey who related he was travelling west on Grove St when the CRV pulled out in front of him. Mr Helen arranged for AAA to tow his vehicle to an auto body shop.

Narrative:
Opr of MV1 reported a possible hit and run. I spoke to the Opr of MV1 he stated he was attempting to park in a parking spot in front of Los Amigos on Walnut Street. At this time, he was angled in to park and observed the vehicle (MV2) behind him attempt to pass him. While passing, MV2 made contact with MV1. MV1 suffered minor damage and was not towed. Opr of MV1 thought they were stopping, but the did not and took off towards Austin Street. A witness, Xavier Vacquez observed the accident and followed MV2. Xavier took a photo of the license plate and sent it to the Opr of MV1. Through an inquiry, I made contact with the Opr of MV2. Opr of MV2 stated she was traveling on Walnut Street behind MV1. She observed MV1 park and then pull out a little and was not sure what MV1 was doing. At this time, MV2 passed MV1 and drove to the parking lot. Opr of MV2 told me she thought she was struck in the parking lot and did not realize she made contact with MV1 back on Walnut Street. I explained there would be an accident report and advised her of the process. After an investigation it was determined it was not a hit and run. MV2 suffered minor damage and was not towed. There were no injuries reported.

MV1 operator stated she was operating westbound past 843 Beacon St (a public way). MV1 operator stated MV2 pulled out of a parking spot on the west bound side of Beacon St and attempted to enter the traffic lane. MV1 operator stated MV2 struck (same side side swipe) the length of the passenger side of MV1 causing damage. MV1 operator stated she was not injured at this time, no tow required. MV2 operator stated he was already in the traffic lane of Beacon St westbound with his left turn signal on, attempting to take a left into the driveway of 860 Beacon St. MV2 operator stated MV1 attempted to pass him on the left side, causing the two MVs to hit each other. MV2 has left front bumper damage, no two required. MV2 operator stated he was not injured at this time.

MV 1 was traveling eastbound on Jackson St when it sideswiped MV 2 on the left side. MV 2 was parked on Jackson St when MV 1 sideswiped the vehicle and there were no occupants in the vehicle. The operator of MV 1 fled the scene. A witness saw the incident and gave a statement that was documented in the witness narrative. A Massachusetts uniform citation (T1445634) was mailed to the operator of MV1, for leaving the scene of the accident, property damage.

The operator of Vehicle #1 stated that as she was attempting to make a left turn from the parking lot of 399 Washington St, Vehicle 2 stopped for her to cross the lane of traffic. Vehicle #2 then accelerated into her vehicle as she was stopped in the roadway. The operator of Vehicle #2 stated that as she was travelling Westbound on Washington St, she collided with Vehicle #1 as it was attempting to pull out of the parking lot. Both parties declined medical attention when it was offered.

On 07/20/2021 while assigned to marked cruiser #493 at 17:09, responded to intersection of Walnut St and Highland Ave for MVA with parked vehicle. Upon arrival we met with MV1 driver Ms. Yelena Margolin, who stated that she was traveling northbound on Walnut St. when she felt a thud against her car on the right/passenger side. Ms. Margolin stated that she then realized that her car crashed into open door of MV2 which was parked on Walnut St. Ms. Margolin stated that she did not see MV2 to open the door before the collision because she was focused on driving and oncoming traffic. MV1 had minor damage to right front corner, right side mirror, and moderate damage to right rear door. Then we spoke to MV2 operator Mr. Adam Ruttenberg. Mr. Ruttenberg stated that he parked on Walnut St. and sat in his car for a minute before he decided to open the door to get out. Mr. Ruttenberg could not recall whether or not he checked his mirrors before opening the door. Mr. Ruttenberg stated that as soon as he opened his door, MV1 crashed into his door. Due to the damage caused by collision, Mr. Ruttenberg was not able to close his door and he requested a tow through AAA. All parties involved denied any medical complaints or need for EMS.
