ON 1/18/2019 AT APPROX 0929HRS WHILE ASSIGNED TO 497 i RESPONDED TO THE AREA OF 1830 BEACON ST FOR A REPORT OF A TWO CAR COLLISION WITHOUT INJURY. UPON ARRIVAL I OBSERVED BOTH VEHICLES IN THE ROADWAY WITH UNDER RIDE , FLUIDS ALL OVER ROADWAY AND AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT IN THE REAR VEHICLE. BOTH OPERATORS WERE STANDING ON THE SIDEWALK. I SPOKE WITH THE OPERATOR OF MA DEALER REG 5550 MARISSA DEVLIN WHO STATED SHE HAD STOPPED FOR A PEDESTRIAN IN THE CROSSWALK WHEN SHE WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND. I THAN SPOKE WITH THE OPERATOR OF MA PASSENGER REG 3NM859, THOMAS DORRANCE WHO STATED ' IT APPEARS I'M AT FAULT' DORRANCE STATED HE HAD NOT NOTICED DEVLIN SLOWING AND STOPPING AND RAN INTO THE BACK OF HER. DEVLIN WAS ALSO COMPLAINING OF PAIN FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AND AIRBAG, CATALDO RESPONDED. NFD AND TODYS TOW ARRIVED ON SCENE .NFD USED THE JAWS TO SEPARATE THE TWO VEHICLES TODYS WAS ABLE TO TOW BOTH VEHICLES. DORRANCE SIGNED A PATIENT REFUSAL WITH CATALDO. NFD SPREAD SPEEDY DRY AND CLEARED THE ROADWAY.

The operator of MV1 was traveling Eastbound on Beacon St. when she stopped at a crosswalk for a pedestrian to cross and was struck in the rear by MV2. The operator of MV2 was traveling Eastbound on Beacon St. when MV1 came to a stop and she struck MV1 in the rear. She stated she didn't have enough time to react but pressed her brakes down all the way until they locked up and she ultimately struck the vehicle. All parties reported no injuries. MV1 sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene safely. MV2 sustained moderate/heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene by Tody's.

Mv#1 operator stated he was travelling on Cypress St N/B and briefly looked into his rear view mirror. #1 stated at that time he rear ended Mv#2 that was stopped in traffic ahead of him. #2 operator stated she was travelling on Cypress St N/B and slowed to a stop for another MV in front of her whom had stopped for a pedestrian in the crosswalk at #15 Cypress. #2 stated at this time she was rear ended by #1. Mvs #1 and #2 both sustained heavy damage to the passenger side front end and passenger side rear end, respectively. Both towed by Tody's towing. No injuries reported.

While stopped, MV1 was struck from behind by MV2. The operator of MV2 stated that he saw the MV1 stop for a pedestrian but did not have enough time to stop and subsequently crashed into MV1. Operator 1 states he was operating MV1 east on River Street. Operator 1 stated he had to stop quickly for pedestrians in the cross walk at 276 River Street. At this time MV2 crashed into the rear of MV1. The operator of MV2 states he was traveling east on River Street when MV1 stopped abruptly in front of him and he crashed into MV1. The operator of MV2 stated he witnessed the operator driving MV1 and the operator of MV1 stated he was operating MV1 which is registered to him. When I arrived on scene both vehicles where facing east on River Street. The keys were in the ignition of MV1 and it was still running. River Street is a public way in the City of Newton. No reported injuries. MV1 was towed from the scene. Citation issued to Operator of MV1 for MGL 90/10 no license.
