Narrative:
The Operator of vehicle 1 stated she was stopped in traffic in the Northbound lane on Parker Street when her vehicle was struck from behind by vehicle 2. This caused the bumper to partly detach and was half hanging on the ground. In order to drive the vehicle away the owner requested I remove the bumper completely. The Operator of vehicle 2 stated he was traveling Northbound on Parker Street and slowing down due to traffic stopped in front of him when he felt his brakes give way, this caused his vehicle to bump into vehicle 1. Vehicle 2 sustained no damage. Vehicle 2 was towed by AAA due to possible brake malfunction.

Narrative:
At approximately 1620HRs on Thursday, July, 25, 2019, I was dispatched to 444 Washington St. in reference to a truck vs tree motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, I noted MV1 (MA Vet: 22098) had partially left the roadway and came to rest when it struck a city tree on the sidewalk. Additionally, I noted MV1 struck MV2 (MA Pass: 5CN826), which was parked on the road in front of the tree/aforementioned address. MV1 sustained damage to its front clip and was leaking fluids. MV2 sustained damage to its right rear bumper/quarter panel area. Upon speaking with the operator of MV1, an employee of Tony's Auto Services, he stated that he was test riding the vehicle after they made repairs to its power steering system. He stated that as he traveled eastbound on Watertown St. at approx 30MPH, the vehicle's brakes failed and he guided MV1 towards the tree in an attempt to stop it without injuring anyone. Todys Services took custody of MV1. Newton Fire cleaned up the leaking fluids and the operator of MV1 signed a patient refusal with Newton Medics. Newton Dispatch notified the city to see if they wished to inspect the tree which was still freestanding and appeared to only suffer minor damage. Tony's Auto Services notified the owner of MV1 and I notified the owner of MV2 of the crash. I submitted a picture of the tree to IT to be attached to this report. I cleared without further incident.

Narrative:
On 05/3/2020, at 1933 hours, I responded to the intersection of Crafts St at California St. Upon arrival I observed MV1 facing southbound on Crafts St with a spare tire partially on the front drivers side. Two men, one on a motorcycle, were beside MV1 on the sidewalk. As I approached, the man on the motorcycle fled the scene. The man remaining on scene denied any involvement with the incident. I spoke with the owner/operator of MV2 and she stated she was driving northbound on Crafts St when she observed MV1 traveling in the opposite direction with it's front end scraping the pavement. Simultaneously, a vehicle in front of her swerved out of the way from a tire rolling down the street which then struck the front passenger side of her vehicle causing damage. She pulled over, observed damage to her vehicle, then turned around to find MV1 stopped on Crafts St. facing southbound. A white male wearing a motorcycle helmet was attempting to put a spare tire on the front driver's side of MV1 and another male was standing with him. As she exited her vehicle, the male wearing the motorcycle helmet approached her. She requested the vehicle's insurance information but the male would not provide it and offered her money instead. Moments later as I was arriving on scene, the motorcycle fled. The license plate on MV1 (MA Reg. 116SP2) did not match the vehicle and was canceled. MV1s VIN showed the vehicles status as inactive and uninsured. Charges are pending until further investigation (see incident #20021379). *Updated on 05/07/20* Upon further investigation, Robert Ostrander, the owner of the Audi TT involved in the incident, is being cited for the following: -Ch.90 Sec.23, Attaching Plates -Ch.90 Sec.9, Unregistered MV -Ch.90 Sec.34J, Uninsured MV MA Uniform Citation T2080826 is being mailed to his last known address of 105 Oakland St. in Medway. The vehicle registration number on the citation (MA Reg.116 SP2) reflects the plate which was attached to the Audi. This plate is canceled to a 2014 Dodge Charger. The VIN shows the Audi's registration status has been inactive since 10/29/2019.

Operator of vehicle 1 states he was driving from Sumner St onto Willow St and hit his brake to slow down when his vehicle suddenly accelerated. He then states he tried to hit the brake again but nothing worked. Operator was able to direct his vehicle into the Fire Station parking lot where he struck the building. It appears the operator hit the gas pedal instead of the brake which startled him. Operator was cleared by medics on scene and vehicle 1 was towed by Todys. Officer Wilson took digital images of the scene.

Narrative:
Detail Officer Donovan was on a Feeney Brothers Excavation detail and observed MV#1 on Homer St at the intersection of Pleasant St with its airbags deployed. Detail Officer Donovan was able to locate the other involved vehicle (MV#2) stopped in front of 195 Ashton Ave and report it to Newton Dispatch. I spoke to the operator of MV#1 and he stated he was travelling westbound on Homer St when he was struck by MV#2. MV#1 sustained heavy damages to its front and rear driver's side doors. The driver's side front and rear airbag curtains were deployed. The operator of MV#1 was evlauted by Newton Paramedics and signed a patient refusal of treatment. The operator of MV#1 stated he estimated MV#2 to be travelling at 30 mph. Tody's Towing took possession of MV#1. I spoke to the operator of MV#2 and she stated she was having mechanical issues with her vehicle and could not stop it. The operator of MV#2 stated she was travelling northbound on Pleasant St when her vehicle accelerated on its own, went through the stop sign and struck MV#1 on Homer St and continued onto Ashton Ave finally stopping in front of 195 Ashton Ave. The operator of MV#2 stated she attempted to stop her vehicle by utilizing her pedal brakes and her emergency brakes but it would not stop until she turned off her engine. MV#2 sustained heavy front end damages. The operator of MV#2 was evaluated by Newton Paramedics and signed a patient refusal of treatment. The dog that was inside MV#2 was also not injured. Tody's Towing took possession of MV#2. I spoke to the witness (Foreman of the Feeney Brothers Excavation detail) who was servicing a gas service on Ashton Ave. Due to this gas service, that particular section of Ashton Ave was completely closed off at the intersection of Orient Ave and Morton St. There were several road closures and detour signs in the surrounding area prohibiting all vehicle travels. The witness stated he heard the crash and tire screeching, observed MV#2 struck a road closure signage at Orient Ave, continued to travel eastbound onto Ashton Ave striking some of his tools and finally stopping in front of 195 Ashton Ave. The witness stated he approached MV#2 and asked the operator if she was ok and the operator in return asked him what part of Ireland he was from. The witness stated the operator of MV#2 appeared to be in shock. The witness stated he observed the emergency hand brake on MV#2 to be activated. The witness estimated MV#2 to be travelling at approximately 20 mph. There were no reported injuries to the witness or his employees.

Driscoll Stated she was traveling eastbound on Brookline St. when her steering wheel 'locked up and wouldn't move". Driscoll stated she was unable to turn the wheel which caused her car to travel across the the oncoming travel lane and collide with a parked vehicle (VEH 2). Newton medics responded and cleared with a patient refusal. David Dyson (the owner of Veh 2) responded. Both Vehicles were towed away by Todys. All parties were provided a report number.

Narrative:
The operator of MV#1 stated he was travelling southbound on Centre St when his brakes failed and could not stop in time, striking MV#2 which pushed MV#2 into MV#3. MV#1 sustained minor damage to its front bumper. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#1. The operator of MV#1 did not have his license in his possession. He provided me with his information and an R.M.V query showed that he had a license status of suspended. While on scene I had the operator of MV#1 log on to his R.M.V account, pay off his balance owed and reinstate his driver's license (R.M.V confirmation #0-847-910-848). MV#1 was inspected and the brakes appeared to be in working order. The operator of MV#2 stated she was travelling southbound on Centre St when she was struck from behind by MV#1 which pushed her vehicle into MV#3 in front of her. MV#2 sustained moderate damages to its rear and front bumpers. The operator of MV#2 sustained non-incapacitating injury to her neck and refused medical attention. The operator of MV#3 stated she was travelling southbound on Centre St when she was struck from behind by MV#2. MV#3 sustained minor damage to its rear bumper. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#3. As of 05/12/2022, the license status of the operator of MV#1 is still suspended.
