On 07/12/19 at 11:36 hours, I responded to Elliot and Oak Streets for a two car motor vehicle accident with no reported injuries. That intersection has a three way stop sign for all travel lanes. Operator of MV1 states he was traveling eastbound on Elliot Street and stopped for the stop sign at Elliot and Oak Streets. After, he proceeded straight through the intersection and was struck by MV2 on his passenger side rear wheel area. He states that MV2 never stopped for their stop sign and was coming through the intersection from Oak Street. I observed passenger side rear wheel and bumper damage to this vehicle but it was still driveable. Operator of MV2 states that she could not recall exactly what occurred but that she stopped for the stop sign. She could not provide which way she was traveling only stating that she was attempting to turn around and pull over to right side of the road to park. I observed damage to the driver's side front bumper area but the vehicle was still driveable. Based on the debris in the road and damage to the vehicles, it appears that MV2 never stopped for the stop sign on Oak Street (NB) as the other operator was proceeding through. MV2 then angled the vehicle to the right in order to pull over and park on the other side of the road. While doing so, she struck MV1. The operator was issued MA Uniform Citation # T1444918 for a Stop Sign Violation.

Operator of MV1 stated he was traveling eastbound on Tremont Street. As he was approaching the intersection of Waverly Ave and Tremont Street the traffic control signal turned red. Operator of MV1 stated he did not have time to stop and struck MV2 with the right front bumper of his vehicle. Operator of MV2 stated he was at the intersection of Waverly Ave and Tremont Street turn Westbound onto Tremont Street. The traffic control signal turned green and as he was making a left turn in the intersection MV1 struck the front of his vehicle. MV1 had significant damage to the right side of the vehicle. MV2 had significant damage to the front of the vehicle. Both vehicles were towed by Todys. The passenger of MV1 had a laceration to her left side of her face. Medics checked her and she signed a refusal. Operator of MV1 was cited for Ch. 89/9, failing to stop (T1271489).

The operator of MV#1 (International Driving Permit #1318-19-126145 with an active Korean passport expiring on 11/11/2028 with an RMV OLN of SA1730649) stated she was travelling southbound on Lowell Ave at the intersection of Austin St when she was struck by MV#2. MV#1 sustained heavy front end damages. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#1. The operator of MV#2 stated she was travelling westbound on Austin St and stopped for the stop sign at the intersection of Lowell Ave. The operator of MV#2 stated she then proceeded through the stop sign and made contact with MV#1. MV#2 sustained heavy damages to its entire right side with front passenger side curtain airbags deployed. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#2 or the front passenger. Based on the statements made to me, I issued in hand MA uniform citation #T1268346 to the operator of MV#2 for violation of c89 s9 failure to comply stop sign. Tody's Towing took possession of MV#1 and AAA took possession of MV#2. The operator of MV#2 provided me with a witness's information (Atenia at 617 981-0165). I attempted to contact the witness with negative results and no voicemail.

ON 9-28-19 AT APPROX. 1449HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR ACCIDENT HIT AND RUN. UPON ARRIVAL AT MILL AND UPLAND ST. I SPOKE TO THE OPERATOR OF VEHICLE #1. DRIVER STATES SHE WAS TRAVELING E-BOUND ON MILL ST. WHEN SHE WAS HIT IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF HER VEHICLE B VEHICLE #2. DRIVER STATES THE HIT SPUN HER COMPLETELY AROUND. VEHICLE #2 SPED AWAY FROM THE SCENE N-BOUND ON UPLAND RD. OPERATOR OF VEHICLE #1 REPORTS NO INJURIES. WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT HER INSURANCE COMPANY. AT THE ACCIDENT SCENE WAS THE LICENSE PLATE ( MA REG#, 1MB926 ). IT HAD COME OFF VEHICLE #2 DURING THE CRASH. I HAD DISPATCH RUN THE PLATE AND IT CAME BACK TO ( MARTIN EPSTEIN, DOB: 7-31-42, WATERTOWN ,MA. ). PRIOR TO CALLING THE OWNER OF THE PLATE I WAS NOTIFIED BY DISPATCH THAT THE PARTIES INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT WERE AT THE STATION AND WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO ME. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE NEWTON POLICE STATION FRONT DESK I MET ( MARTIN EPSTEIN JR). HE STATED THAT HIS MOTHER ( MARSHA EPSTEIN) ALSO PRESENT WAS OPERATING THE VEHICLE THIS AFTERNOON WHEN THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED. HE STATED SHE WAS ON HER WAY BACK ROM BETH ISRAEL HOSPITAL ONCOLOGY WHERE HER HUSBAND ( MARTIN EPSTEIN ) WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A GLIOBLASTOMA. SHE WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS FATAL AND THEY WOULD BE PLACING HIM IN HOSPICE CARE SOON. EPSTEIN JUNIOR STATED HIS MOTHER CALLED HIM BELIEVING SHE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT BUT DOES NOT REMEMBER THE DETAILS. I INFORMED THE PARTIES ABOUT WHAT HAD OCCURRED FROM THE INFORMATION I HAD RECEIVED FROM THE OPERATOR OF VEHICLE #1. I INFORMED BOTH PARTIES THAT SINCE THEY CAME IN I WOULD NOT BE SEEKING COMPLAINTS FOR LEAVING THE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE. THEY WERE INFORMED THAT THEY WILL BE RECEIVING A CITATION FOR ( 89/9, FAILURE TO STOP FOR STOP SIGN ). I ESCORTED MARTIN EPSTEIN JUNIOR TO THE REAR OF THE STATION WHERE I RETURNED THE FRONT PLATE THAT WAS FOUND AT THE SCENE. HE INFORMED ME THAT SINCE HIS MOTHER DOES NOT RECALL THE ACCIDENT HE HAS TAKEN HER KEYS AWAY AND REVOKED HER DRIVING PRIVILEGES FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. HE STATES HE HAS SIBLINGS AS WELL AS FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY WHO LIVE IN THE AREA AND STATED THEY WOULD DRIVE HER WHENEVER NECESSARY. I INFORMED MS EPSTEIN THAT I WOULD MAIL HER A CITATION ( T1445179, 89/9, FAILURE TO STOP AT STOP SIGN ). IN CONSIDERATION OF ALL FACTS INVOLVED AN IMMEDIATE THREAT WAS FILED AND SENT TO THE REGISTRY OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON 9-29-19.

Operator #1 stated she was going e/b on Otis St when vehicle #2 struck her vehicle in the intersection of Lowell Ave. The impact sent her vehicle crashing into the traffic signal light on the southeast corner of the intersection, knocking it down. She reports her light was green as she entered the intersection. Operator #2 stated he was heading s/b on Lowell Ave and was passing thru the intersection of Otis ST when he crashed into vehicle #1 in the intersection. He stated he thought his light was green. A witness who was behind vehicle #2 approached me and reported that vehicle #2 ran the light on Lowell Ave. Operator #2 was cited for C90-S9 failing to stop for a red light. Operator #1 was also cited after she informed me she didn't ever have a drivers license, only a Brazilian passport. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Operator#1 sustained minor injuries but declined medical transport.

Vehicle #1 Was Traveling Southbound on Parker St. Vehicle #1 collided with a pedestrian on it's left drive side in a marked crosswalk in front of 21 Parker St. The operator of vehicle #1 stated she saw the pedestrian through her driver's side window at the same time she heard a loud bang. The operator of vehicle #1 stated she noticed her mirror was gone and realized she had hit something so she stopped. The pedestrian in the crosswalk was crossing from his residence at 21 Parker St. on the west side of Parker to the east side of Parker St. in a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian was approximately 2 feet from the middle divider when he was hit by the mirror of vehicle #1. It should be noted that the pedestrian was wearing all dark clothing. The Pedestrian appeared to suffer an injury to his arm and his body and was transported to Beth Israel by Cataldo. The Witness stated he did not see the crash, but just prior to it he saw an unknown vehicle driving at a high rate of speed northbound on Parker St. and the vehicle may have beeped at the pedestrian in the crosswalk causing him to step back into the southbound travel lane where the crash happened. Photographs were taken of the scene and submitted to the IT bureau to be attached to this report. The operator of Vehicle #1 was cited with MGL Ch. 89-11 fail to yield to pedestrian in a crosswalk (Citation #T2079123).

MV1 stated he got off the Mass Pike Eastbound at exit 17, and once at the top of the ramp, his GPS directed him to take a left onto Washington St. While responding to a separate call, I witnessed MV1 traveling the wrong direction (NE) in the area of 320 Washington St. (one way section of rotary). I activated my blue lights and pulled up to MV1, telling the operator the street was a one way and he needed to turn around. The operator stated he had room to turn around, at which point I blocked Washington St. While turning around, the trailer of MV1 struck a City of Newton concrete light pole and knocked it down. The concrete pole was taped and coned off, and Daigle was notified to respond. Photos were taken and submitted to the IT bureau.

Operator of MV # 2 stated she had green light and was going NB on Walnut St crossing Commonwealth Ave when she was struck by MV # 1. MV #1 never stopped and kept going WB on Commonwealth Ave. Witness was behind MV # 2 and stated that MV #2 had green light and that MV #1 never stopped and went through red light. Vehicle #1 had a plow attached (couldn't add plow in diagram) No Injuries or Tows

On Wednesday 12/4/2019 at approx 2110hrs, while assigned to N-494, I responded with the medics to 22 Park St Apt #5 in Newton for a past MVA pedestrian. There I was met by Annie Peng who states that at approx 730pm this evening she was struck by a vehicle(mass reg 6258) at the intersection of Washington St and Park St. She states that when she was entering the crosswalk after crossing over the mass pike bridge, she was struck from the right passenger side of MV1. Peng states she fell a few feet from the car injuring her right knee and right arm. She said that the operator stopped and got out to assist and left his contact info. Peng signed a patient refusal form and pictures of her injuries were taken and submitted to IT. It should be noted that Peng believes her cell phone was broken after hitting the ground. I later spoke with Dr. Ross, operator of MV1, who stated that he had not seen Peng crossing after he came to a complete stop at the crosswalk which had a "right turn on red after stop" sign. He said he was going "one or two miles per hour" when Peng collided with his passenger side door. Ross stated he got out to help her and offered to take her to the hospital.

Operator of vehicle 1 states she was traveling westbound on Washington St when vehicle 2 turned quickly in front of her giving her no time to stop and they crashed. As a result of the crash her car rolled backwards into the opposite curb. Operator of vehicle 2 states he was traveling eastbound on Washington St and was waiting to turn left onto Concord St. The traffic light on Washington turned yellow and he went to turn when vehicle 1 came at him at a high rate of speed and hit him head on causing his vehicle to spin around and strike vehicle 3 on Concord St head on. Operator of vehicle 3 stated he was stopped on Concord St at the light to Washington St when vehicle 1 struck vehicle 2 and pushed him into his vehicle. After the accident I spoke to a witness who stated he had video of the incident. Jose Buenrrostro works at 2310 Washington St and was able to show me the footage. In the footage you can see vehicle 1 not slow down for the yellow light on Washington which turns red before she reaches the intersection. She then attempts to swerve around vehicle 2 but was unable to causing the collision. All three vehicles were towed by todys. The operator of vehicle 1 was transported to Brighams Hospital by Cataldo for injuries. Both other operators signed patient refusals with the medics.
