Narrative:
MA commercial reg M94754 (vehicle #1), a City of Newton pickup/sander truck, was located crashed over the curb in front of 1970 Beacon St. The vehicle was unoccupied, had the keys in the ignition, and was reported stolen just a few minutes prior to discovery. The reporting party of the stolen truck and uninvolved occupant is identified as City DPW worker George Sementelli. The witness/passerby who discovered the collision is also a DPW worker, identified as Donny Brandt. Pursuant to an investigation outlined in incident #19002213, the operator at the time of the crash was determined to be Michael Carter. It is believed that Carter stole the vehicle from 295 Auburn St, fled the area, and ultimately crashed in front of 1970 Beacon St. Corroborating facts outlined in the incident report put Carter as the operator. The vehicle itself was located partially on the sidewalk and partially on the road, therefore Carter is being cited with MGL 89/4A - Marked Lanes Violation (T1268423). Due to the fact it is believed that Carter fled the scene after the crash, MGL 90/24/C - Leaving the Scene of Property Damage was added as well as MGL 90/23/D Operating After a Suspended LIcense, and MGL 90/24/O - Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The crash occurred during busy weekday commuting about 0.7 miles from Angier Elementary School. The last 3 charges mentioned have been listed on a second citation (T1268422). Officer Brooks also issued T0648082 for OUI Drugs MGL 90/24/G. See the incident report for details about this charge. In total, there are (3) citations issued to Carter. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage. It should be noted that the utility pole a couple of houses down from the crash site (Beacon/Varick Rd, pole #212) sustained fresh, minor superficial damage, consistent with the vehicle crashing into it before verring onto the sidewalk. Pictures have been taken and submitted to the IT bureau. Tody's responded and towed the vehicle to the police garage for processing due to the pending other criminal charges involved in this accident/incident. Michael Carter was subsequently placed under arrest and his citations have been placed into his property. Carter suffered a hand injury due to the crash an was transported to NWH Hospital for an evaluation after he was booked.

Hersh was provided information on the vehicle involved. Hersh stated an employee named Alexis was operating MA CON:T65665 on the date of the accident and provided a phone number for this party. On Tuesday, February 5, 2019 I spoke with Alexis Laporte-Soto (S84358654). Laporte-Soto stated he was operating a 2017 Mercedes Sprint van (MA CON:T65665) in Newton for Metrowest Packaging on the date of the accident. I explained to Laporte-Soto the vehicle he was operating was alleged to have been involved in a hit and run accident on Highland Street in Newton. Highland Street is a public way maintained by the City of Newton. Laporte-Soto stated the vehicle he was operating hit the driver door mirror of a parked card on Highland Street. Laporte-Soto reported the accident as mirror (MV2 passenger side) to mirror (MV1 driver side). The note stated "I saw someone back into your car, I got their plate, MA Reg TC58LC, Black Suburban". and there was minor damage to the drivers side doors. MA Reg TC58LC came back to a HUTTER, Carol of 67 Randlett Pk, Newton. I responded to that address and attempted to raise HUTTER with no answer at the door. I then called the phone number listed from a past incident with the Newton Police and HUTTER answered the phone. She stated she was at the Temple attempting to parallel park when she thought she may have hit another vehicle. She stated she got out to look at the vehicle and didn't see any damage, so she took a photo of the license plate and would try to report it once she got home. MA Reg TC58LC had several scratches on the bumper of the vehicle.

On 05/10/19 I met with Luiz A. Lopes who stated his vehicle ( Mass Commercial Reg# T83695 White Toyota Tacoma P/ U) was struck while parked in the lot around 07:00. Lopes said he didn't call the Police right away because he wasn't sure his car was struck there. The truck sustained a cracked front bumper and the fog light was popped out. We went inside of National Lumber and spoke with a manager who said he would contact G.M. Greg Assarian and have him look at the security footage. On 05/14/19 at approximately 14:00 the Police Station received a call from Lopes who just got off the phone with Assarian who found some security footage of the incident. I then traveled over to National Lumber and met with Assarian. He showed me the video and it appears that a newer grey four door Chevrolet truck backed into Lopes truck around 06:58 of 05/07/19. The Massachusetts plate is unreadable but an older White heavy set male gets out of the truck and walks into the store. After parking the truck the male can be seen checking his own truck bumper for damage. The male is wearing a baseball hat and sun glasses and cannot be identified on the video. The male does however walk with a noticeable limp. Assarian will show his picture to his employees and contact me if the employees are able to identify the male driver. I called Lopes back and apprised him of my findings. ******************UPDATE**************************************** As of today 05/20/19 I have yet to hear back from anyone at National Lumber so I will end this investigation and label it a hit and run crash.

Narrative:
On 08/06/19 at 12:34 hours, I responded to Industrial Place by The Lakeshore Learning Store at the request of Newton Police Officer Justin March who witnessed an accident in the parking lot of 300 Needham Street. Officer March was working a road construction detail at the time in the City of Newton. He states that at approximately 12:20 hours he observed MV1 exiting the parking lot of 300 Needham Street( a drive way to a building that the public has access to). There is an island in the middle that separates the entrance and exit of the lot as it goes out to Needham Street. As MV1 was exiting, he drove up on the island and pushed two large stone builders out of place. There was also damage to numerous different flowers planted in the ground. MV1 then exited the lot and went eastbound on Needham Street. Officer March then followed in his vehicle and kept beeping his horn to alert the driver to stop. The operator turned on to Industrial Place and pulled over. Ofc. March attempted to speak to the operator, Gelvin Perez-Ramirez but there was a language barrier. Next, Ofc. Calderon responded and assisted with Spanish translation. He asked the operator what occurred and he stated that he never saw the island. Due to the fact that the operator left the scene of the accident and never reported it, he was issued MA Uniform Citation # T1445351 for Ch. 90/24/C. MV1 sustained damage to the two exhaust pipes on the passenger side of the truck. There is also possible undercarriage damage. Ofc. M. Wade took photos of the scene.

On 08/13/19 at 14:53 hours, I responded to a hit and run motor vehicle accident located at 244 Needham Street. The operator of MV1 states she was parked in a parking spot to the right of the Splash business at 244 Needham Street. The parking spot is located on Charlemont Street. After parking, she was sitting in her motor vehicle when she heard a bump to her driver's side rear end from MV2 backing up from a parking spot across from her. She says the operator of MV2 turned and looked at her and kept proceeding (NB) on Charlemont towards Needham Street. She then exited her vehicle to try and get the operator's attention to no avail. She took a photo of MV2 which was a black Toyota Highlander bearing MA reg.# R85045. She described the operator as a white female in her forties with possibly dark curly hair. I observed minor paint damage and scratches to the driver's side rear quarter panel area. The operator is unsure if that damage is from the accident. The owner of MV2, Steven Masterson has a residential address of 40 Wild Acres Rd in North Attleboro, MA and a mailing address of 34 Central Street Foxborough, MA. A telephone search revealed a phone number of (269)857-7814 for him out of Aiken, SC and the Foxborough address but the number is not in service. UPDATE: I was provided a phone number for Masterson from N. Attleboro PD. On 08/16/19 at 12:45 hours, I spoke to Sheila Masterson who stated she was driving MV2 at the time of the reported accident. She stated that she was unaware that she struck MV1 and saw the other operator looking at her but thought nothing of it. Due to the accident being very minor or possibly no damage at all, no further action will be taken. Masterson was provided with the other operator's information.

On 8/29/19 at approximately 1745hrs I responded to 483 Auburn St for a report of a hit and run with property damage. Upon arrival, I spoke with reporting party Cornelia Cain-Heard who said she had been travelling on Woodland St behind a yellow Penkse moving truck. The truck took a left on Auburn St and the top of the truck got caught on a city tree in front of 483 Auburn St. Cain-Heard was unable to get a plate for the vehicle and I did not see any cameras in the area. The truck uprooted the tree causing two branches to fall across the roadway and the sidewalk square to be displaced. We were able to move the branches out of the roadway to allow traffic to pass. Forestry was notified, responded and removed the branches. The affected sidewalk was taped off and the city was notified for repairs. Photos were taken and forwarded to IT.

On 9/08/19 Kevin Coston came into NPD Headquarters to report a MV/Ped with Injury that had occurred on 8/23/19 at about 06:15 in the parking lot of Whole Foods (916 Walnut Street). The RP stated that he had left work (Whole Foods) at the back receiving door and was walking to his car, he bent over to take his knee pads off, while he was doing this he was struck by a delivery van that backed into him. The driver took out his headphones and said sorry before driving away. RP stated that he told the driver that he had been hit but the driver just drove away. RP went to hospital (Faulkner) on his own for lower back pain and has not been to work since. RP was able to take picture of the side of the delivery van. The van belonged to Shortstop Distribution Inc (508-655-5948). RP left a message that morning. He was texted by Gedeon (786-352-6695) who stated there was a language barrier and he didn't understand what had happened. RP advised Gedeon to talk to his lawyer or the police. Exact location of accident unknown. Diagram is a estimate. Report printed out and placed in traffic box for follow up. Traffic Bureau Update (Officer Gaudet): On Monday, September 9, 2019 I attempted to make contact with the operator if MV1, Gedeon Duarte, with a negative result. A Hit and Run motor vehicle inquiry was mailed to Duarte. I spoke with the injured party, Kevin Coston, via telephone on September 9, 2019. Coston stated he is an employee at the Whole Foods located at 916 Walnut Street, Newton. Coston stated on August 23, 2019 a black van backed into him as he was kneeling on the ground taking off his knee pads in the loading area of the store. Coston stated he approached the driver who remained in the vehicle to speak with him after he was hit. Coston described the driver as a heavy set Spanish male. Coston stated the operator of the vehicle rolled down his window, took his headphones out of his ear, said sorry, and left the area. Coston stated he contacted the Newton Police to report the accident but was told he needed to come in person to file the report. Coston stated he was unable to come to the station to file the report until September 8, 2019. On Friday, September 13, 2019, I spoke with Gedeon Duarte at the Newton Police Department. Duarte stated he spoke Portuguese and did not speak English. With the assistance of David Sargent from the Language Line (1-800-225-5254) translating, I was to speak with Mr. Duarte in the Traffic Bureau. Duarte stated he was making a delivery at Whole Foods and was waiting for another truck to leave so he could leave the area. Duarte stated a male party (Coston) came up to his driver door and was yelling him. Duarte stated that due to language barrier he was unable to understand what the person was saying to him, but stated the male party was yelling, "Fuck you! Fuck you!" Duarte stated he did not know what was going on and stated he left the area to allow the male party to calm down. Duarte stated he returned a minute later the male party did not want to speak with him. Duarte stated he returned a second time later in the morning and Coston was not there. Duarte stated he received a call from his employer stating Kevin Coston had called for him and he was provided with Coston's phone number. Duarte stated he texted Coston to find out what happened that morning. Duarte showed me a text message exchange from August 23, 2019 at 9:03 A.M. between himself and a party listed as "Kevin Whole". In the text messages, Duarte stated he is the driver of the van and that his supervisor called him. The other party responded and stated "Talk to the police and my lawyer". Duarte stated that he did not understand what happened and that he returned to whole foods. Duarte ended the text exchange with "927535425 my number of policy..." Duarte stated he had no idea he made contact with Coston and stated at the time of the alleged accident he did not hear/see/feel anything otherwise he would have stopped. Duarte's information has been updated in this report to reflect him as the operator/vehicle involved. Duarte also submitted pictures of the rear of his vehicle, a 2008 black Ford E350 (MA: 8NY171), from the day of the accident. Photos were submitted to the IT Bureau. Narrative:
The operator of vehicle 1 stated she was traveling West on the Washington Street bridge over the Mass Pike when vehicle 2, a gray SUV attempted to change lanes, as this happened the front passenger side quarter panel of vehicle 2 came in contact with the rear drivers side quarter panel of vehicle 1. This caused minor scratches to vehicle 1. The operator of vehicle 1 attempted to pull over and exchange information with the other driver. The operator of vehicle 2 continued driving away and got onto the Mass Pike, during this process the operator of vehicle 1 and the passenger of vehicle 1 were able to get the license plate number of vehicle 2 which was NY REG:T797800C. In an attempt to locate and identify the driver of vehicle 2 I ran NY REG T797800C which comes back registered to a short term rental company called Flexdrive. I called a phone number on their website 8663539399 which is listed as the number to call if you are in an accident with one of their vehicles. I was only able to speak to a service technician, a Tom Louis of ARI Fleet Service 18002272273, who told me the vehicle was out of the Flexdrive North Dighton Mass hub located at 123 Williams Street North Dighton MA 02764.Tom also mentioned the location would most likely not be open again until Monday. He did not have any other information regarding who may be operating the vehicle. I have attempted to find contact information on this North Dighton location which I have had negative results so far. I have also emailed the Flexdrive customer service department. To be followed up on. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, I made contact with the registered owner of MV2, Flexdrive. The representative from Flexdrive stated MV2 is registered to the company but Lyft uses their vehicles for ride sharing. I contacted Lyft and spoke with a party named Jonas from their support team. Jonas stated he would make contact with the operator of MV2 and ask them to contact me to give a statement. Lyft stated they would also conduct their own internal investigation. On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, I spoke with the operator of MV2, Gary Procaccini (S36066201). Procaccini stated he was operating a 2019 Santa Fe (NY Reg: T797800C) as a Lyft driver on the evening of February 22, 2020. Procaccini stated he was traveling on Washington Street (W) towards the Massachusetts Turnpike entrance in West Newton. Procaccini stated he was in the wrong lane and looked in his mirror before attempting to merge into the correct lane. Procaccini stated to the right of his vehicle he observed a vehicle "flying" towards the entrance to the Pike. Procaccini stated he came to stop to allow the vehicle to pass. Procaccini stated the vehicle passed at a high rate of speed and he continued on his way onto the Pike (E). Procaccini stated he had a passenger in the vehicle using Lyft servies and there were no signs that a crash had taken place. Procaccini's information has been added to his report to reflect him being the operator of MV2. I then spoke with Peter Houser who is a Driver Services Representative with Lyft. Houser stated he had just visually inspected the vehicle alleged to have been involved in the crash. Houser stated the vehicle was in "pristine" condition and he observed no damage to the front passenger side quarter panel of MV2. Houser e-mailed me pictures of the vehicle. I observed no damage to MV2. Those pictures were submitted to the IT Bureau.

Narrative:
On Thursday 04/16/2020 at approximately 2306 hrs I was dispatched to a hit and run accident in the area of 320 Washington St. Upon arrival I observed debris all over the roadway including a City one way street sign, a City utility light pole along with a Metropolitan MWRA vent. The RP mentioned to dispatch he observed headlights driving away from the scene and believed it was a black vehicle once he exited his residence and observed the vehicle parts in the roadway. The vehicle later identified as a 2020 Toyota Rav 4 black in color bearing MA.REG (97E520) was not on scene of the accident. Shortly after I responded on scene the vehicle involved was located nearby by N-494 at the intersection of Washington St. at Adams St. The vehicle was registered to a Evgenii Shatokhin with heavy right front end damage along with the left front, and both rear tires deflated. Mr. Shatokhin stated he was the operator of the vehicle and I asked what happened back at 320 Washington St. He stated he was driving Westbound on Washington St. when he swerved to avoid something and hit the curb. Once he hit the curb, he stated he then hit the sign, light pole and MWRA vent. Due to Mr. Shatokhin not remaining on scene of the accident and leaving he is being charged with Ch. 90 Sec. 24 (Leaving the scene of an accident, property damage). Failed to remain on scene after accident occured involving property damage. He is also being charged with Ch. 89 Sec. 4A (Marked Lanes) for failure to drive entirely within. Citation #T2014768 was given in hand to Mr. Shatokhin. MV1 sustained heavy right front end damage. No injuries. Tody's responded on scene and towed MV1. A towed motor vehicle form was filled out and placed on file. Pictures were taken on scene of the property damage and placed into the IT Bureau's box.

On 05/15/2020, at 2100 hours, I responded to the area 399 Washington St. for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, I observed a red Toyota Highlander (MA Reg. 82F930) with heavy front end damage from colliding with and knocking down a cement light pole. The operator of the vehicle had fled the scene prior to our arrival. The registered owner is Orlin R. Aguilar. Inside the vehicle were 'Five Star Moving' logs indicating that Aguilar works at 95 Adams St. The route Aguilar would take home from his employer's address to his house in Chelsea would take him past the crash location. Chelsea PD was contacted to check on Aguilar's wellbeing. Ofc. Serrano of CPD located Aguilar in his apartment taking a shower. He appeared intoxicated with redness on his nose and face. Aguilar stated his car was stolen and he had no idea why it would be in Newton. Chelsea PD's wellbeing check was performed over a half hour after the accident and, according to GPS, Aguilar's home is 14 minutes from the crash location. Dispatch contacted Uber and Lyft to inquire if Aguilar was picked up in the area of the crash. There are also surveillance cameras outside of Honda Village across from the crash. Charges are pending further investigation of the ride-share info and surveillance footage. Pictures of the damage to the city pole and vehicle were emailed to IT. Tody's responded and towed the vehicle. Washington St. is a public way maintained by the City of Newton.

Upon arrival I spoke with the RP Alison Leav, she stated she parked her vehicle in the area of 137 Comm Ave around 2000 hours on Saturday July 4, 2020. She stated she observed her vehicle again around 2300 hours with no damage, and this morning at approx. 0800 observed the driver side of her vehicle had been side swiped from the rear bumper to the front fender. She also showed me a broken piece of a vehicle that was involved in the crash. I observed damage on the driver side rear quarter/bumper along the whole driver side to the front fender including the both left side wheels. I looked at the broken piece belonging to the other vehicle. The color appeared to be blue and was consistent with the color on the damaged left side of the vehicle. The broken piece appeared to be a right side mirror with a writing inside the part " RH - 75854 >ABS< CAV 4. I Google the part and may come back to a 1997-2005 Chevy Cavalier. I took pictures of the part that will be downloaded at the I.T. Bureau. No injuries and party was advised of the process.

The owner of MV#1 stated she came out of work at NWH at 0730hrs and noticed the passenger front of her vehicle was damaged. She stated that she parked her vehicle in the that space at 2330hrs the night before. I observed significant damage to the passenger front of the vehicle. It should be noted that I did not observe and parts on the ground or any debris indicating that the accident occurred in that location. The headlight was totally shattered out and there were missing parts from vehicle. There was also a fluid trail that appeared to be leaking from the front passenger side. This trail indicated that the vehicle was driven and backed in to the parking space after the collision took place. Based on my training and experience I do not believe that vehicle was struck in that location as a hit and run. There were no cameras in the area. The owner requested her own tow for the vehicle. I submitted a photo of the claimed hit and run scene to the IT bureau and it was attached to this accident report.

Uninvolved owner of MV1 was believed to be parked facing southbound in front of 97 Hawthorn St. when a dark colored jeep wrangler struck MV1 head on and dragged the vehicle to 88 Hawthorn St. MV1 came to rest at an angle on the sidewalk and damaged a fence in front of 88 Hawthorn St. The front bumper of MV1 was left in the roadway in front of 97 Hawthorn St. along with debris from the impact. Based off where the debris and front bumper were located, it was believed the impact of the crash was in that area. A witness called the police and stated he heard two loud bangs outside and observed what he believed to be a dark colored jeep wrangler with heavy front end damage leaving the scene. I spoke to witness, Mr. Kenis who stated he observed the operator struggle to start the engine after the impact and took off before he could obtain a registration plate. Mr. Kenis stated he fled towards Watertown St. Units checked the area for the other vehicle believed to be involved, however had negative results. MV1 sustained heavy front end damage along with minor left rear end damage where the vehicle struck the fence. MV1 was unoccupied during the collision. No injuries. Pictures were taken on scene and placed into the IT Bureau's box. Property owner, Joe Russo of 88 Hawthorn St. was notified of the damage to his fence. Mr. Russo stated he was going to contact his insurance company and was satisfied. Owner of MV1 was also contacted and notified of the accident. Tody's responded and towed MV1. Building damage appears minor. Building is vacant, no tenants. Ms Kim stated her father Dae Kim is the owner of the building. Crash debris left behind (no plates found) indicated the unknown MV drove off Walnut St N/B, crashed into the meters, over the sidewalk and into the building. Photos of the area were taken and will be submitted to the IT bureau. City notified. Prior to completing this report, Ms Kim called NPD to report the neighbor from 1176 Walnut has video surveillance from the crash. Ms Kim stated according to the video time, the crash occurred yesterday 4/16 at 0715hrs. She described watching on the video a black sedan possibly a Buick crash into the building back up and continue on Walnut St N/B. On 04/20/21 at 11:46 hours, I (Traffic Unit 523) responded to the CVS parking lot located at 978 Boylston Street for a city motor vehicle hit & run accident. The city vehicle was struck when the operator was inside the store and the other unknown vehicle left the scene. The CVS parking lot is a thru-way for the public to access and park for the store. The weather at the time was partly cloudy and the road conditions were dry. On arrival, I met the driver of the city vehicle identified as William Bertrand (MA D/L# S24973075). The vehicle is a 2016 Ford Escape color black with MA registration # M2534A and is labeled as vehicle number 304. Mr. Bertrand stated he was parked in the lot and went inside the store. The Escape was parked in the seventh spot in from the parking stalls closet to the entrance of the store. He then came out and observed that the vehicle had been struck on it's rear driver's side quarter panel area. He says the other vehicle had left the scene and no note was left on his vehicle. I observed numerous scrape marks to that mentioned area and I took digital photos of the damage. I also observed two small specks of paint on the damaged area that were a bluish gray type of color from the suspect vehicle. It appears that due to the scrape marks that the unknown vehicle was pulling in to the parking space to the left of the city vehicle. As it was pulling in, it struck the city vehicle with it's front passenger quarter panel area. I spoke to Nick (CVS manager) on the phone and was inquiring about possible surveillance footage of the lot. He stated that he didn't believe the cameras cover that area of the lot but he would look for any possible footage and notify me if so.

MV1 was traveling Southbound while MV2 traveled Northbound on Lowell Ave. Around the intersection of Foster St at Lowell Ave, MV2 hit MV1's driver's side mirror with their driver's side mirror. MV1 side mirror was smashed and glass was inside the vehicle and the operator came in contact with some of the glass due to the driver's side window being open during the time of the collision. MV1 operator, John Mole, spoke with me at his residence after the accident because the operator of MV2 drove away from the scene without giving their information. MV1 operator had some dried blood on his left hand and left leg from the glass of the side mirror but refused medical treatment. He stated that after the crash, both MVs pulled to the side and operator of MV2 came out and said he didnt have his license and said he was in a hurry for an appointment and drove off. MV1 operator was able to read and write down MV2 license plate before it left the scene. MV1 operator describes MV2 operator as a tall 6'2" African male with short hair. MV2 was a company van belonging to MAB Community Services Inc. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): I contacted MAB Community Services, Inc. to identify the operator of MV2. Heather Ripley, Director of Residential Services at MAB Community Services stated the operator of MV2 is Mr. Moses Mubiru. Ms. Ripley stated Mr. Mubiru provided them with a picture of the other vehicle involved in the crash and stated the other operator would not exchange information with him. On Thursday, May 27, 2021 I spoke with Mr. John Mole. Mr. Mole stated he was traveling South on Lowell Avenue towards Walker Street. Mr. Mole stated MV2 was traveling North on Lowell Avenue towards Washington Street. Mr. Mole stated as the vehicles passed each other their driver door mirrors collided. Mr. Mole stated both parties pulled over to assess the damage. Mr. Mole stated the operator of MV2 stated he did not have his license with him and it was a company vehicle so he did not have the registration. Mr. Mole stated the operator of MV2 stated, "I have to go I have an appointment, I have to pick someone up." Mr. Mole stated the operator of MV2 took a picture of his license plate and left the area without attempting to exchange information. I then contacted Mr. Moses Mubiru (S83293592). Mr. Mubiru acknowledged he was the operator of MV2 at the time of the crash. Mr. Mubiru stated he was operating MV2 South on Lowell Avenue towards Washington Street when his driver door mirror collided with the driver door mirror of MV1. Mr. Mubiru stated he did not exchange information with the operator of MV1 because that operator was unwilling to exchange information. Mr. Mubiru stated he took a picture of MV1's license plate and reported it to his employer. Mr. Mubiru's information was added to this report to reflect him as the operator of MV2.

Another worker from Thistle and Leek, Christian McNeill, states he witnessed a BMW back into the Subaru more than once attempting to turn around before leaving the alley. I observed paint damage on the rear end of the Subaru. Steven was able to take a picture of the BMWs plate (NY: MD60330) before it left. I was able to find the vehicles information and two phone numbers for the registered owner. I will be contacting them on my next tour of duty. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On Thursday, May 27, 2021, I was able to make contact with the registered owner of MV2. Mr. Stephen Gorfine (NY: 392 858 797) stated he was operating his 2007 BMW 750 (NY: 60330) at the time and location of the crash. Mr. Gorfine stated he was not aware he was involved in a crash. I explained to Mr. Gorfine that two witnesses observed his vehicle crash into MV1 as it was parked unoccupied. Mr. Gorfine stated he has hit many cars in the past and has been hit himself. Mr. Gorfine did not appear to understand the brevity of causing damage to MV1 and not stopping to attempt to provide his information to the owner. Mr. Gorfine was advised and mailled Massachusetts Uniform Citaton 019187AB for Newton City Ordinance Chapter 19, Section 75 (Failure To Use Care).

On Thursday 7/15/21 at approximately 0900hrs I was dispatched to 12 Rockland Street for the report of a motor vehicle with heavy damage resting in the middle of the street. Upon arrival I observed a brown Nissan Altima unoccupied not running in the middle of street. Heavy front end damage on the passenger side along with two flat tires on the passenger side. There was no operator on scene but the car was registered to 12 Rockland Street. It should be noted that Rockland Street is a public way located in the City of Newton. I spoke to the reporting party Barry Cocuzzo who lives at 18 Rockland Street. Mr. Cocuzzo stated he witnessed William Power operating the Nissan and turn onto Rockland Street. Mr. Cocuzzo observed Power drive into his driveway with the two flat tires and heavy front end damage. When Power exited the vehicle Cocuzzo yelled over to him but stated Power's was unable to communicate clearly to him. Cocuzzo observed Power's walk into his residence at 12 Rockland and then bereaved the vehicle slowly roll back out of the driveway. Medic 3 and Tody's responded to the scene. Due to the heavy damage and two flat tires Tody towed the vehicle. A towed motor vehicle inventory report was filled out. Medic 3 was called to the scene to evaluate the health of Power's. Officer Tocci and myself located Power's in the residence passed out on the couch. Empty alcohol cans were all around Power's. After several attempts to wake up Power's he finally came too. Power's speech was severely slurred, he could barely keep his eyes upon and he lacked the ability to stand up without assistance. The Medics transported Power's to Newton Wellesley. Power's is being cited (Ma Citation 069847AB and 06850AB) for 90/10/A Unlicensed Operation, 90/24/E Negligent Operation of MV, 90/24/C Leave Scene of Property Damage, 90/24/J OUI Liquor and 90/24/P Use MV Without Authority. 5 photos were taken of the motor vehicle. It should be noted that the original location of the crash and the object that was struck are unknown to us at this time. Dispatch was also able to confirm that Power's did not have an active license at this time. Power's mother Bernice Fougere who is the owner of the vehicle stated to me that Power's did not have permission to use her vehicle.

On August 27th 2021, Miriam Nkuba DOB 6/30/56 came to Newton Police Headquarters to report a past hit and run. Nkuba states that around 1500 hrs today, she was shopping in Star Market at 1 Boyston St. When she exited the store and returned to her vehicle in the lot (MA reg 7CNJ50), there were security workers cleaning debris from around her car. Immediately apparent was damage to the rear left tail light/bumper area. The security workers then directed Nkuba to witness Kate Sweeney, who was able to provide a picture of MA reg 4AX435, a black Chevrolet Suburban. Sweeney told Nkuba that the Suburban had hit her car and left the scene. I called Sweeney and spoke with her directly. She relayed that she was in a nearby store and heard a loud crash. Her attention was directed outside to a black Suburban slowly driving with obvious front passenger side damage. The vehicle then stopped in a parking space, and a heavy set woman exited from the driver's seat to inspect the damage on the front right side. The woman then got back into the vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction. 4AX435 comes back active on a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban color black to Maria Dasilva Alves out of West Roxbury. I requested Boston PD E-5 try and raise Alves and have her contact me. It should be noted that Alves has an expired/non renewable license and appears from her license photo to be heavy set. Charges pending. *Update, 8/28/21- Boston PD had negative results locating Alves or the vehicle. Based on corroborating statements by the witness, MA uniform citation T1446618 will be mailed to Alves for 90/24 Leaving the Scene of Property Damage and 90/10 Unlicensed Operation.

Mv#1 was parked unoccupied opposite #8 Burrage Rd (N/B). #1 was sideswiped by an unknown Mv that left white paint transfer damage on #1's driver's side front end side and also struck the driver's side mirror all causing moderate damage. I spoke to the resident at 8 Burrage Rd. The resident stated a visitor in his house, Jonathan Kaplan, witnessed the accident. The resident stated Kaplan told him he observed a white sedan bearing MA Reg CIAF31 (Mv#2) attempting to parallel park between #1 and another Mv. During the attempt, #2 was observed sideswiping #1. Kaplan further stated a male operator got out of #2, left a note on #1 and drove away. Mv#1 owner/operator Ms Joan Beer stated no note was ever found. Later from HQ, I called the witness phone number provided (617-455-2557) by the resident of 8 Burrage Rd. I called that number, received VM and left a message. A query of #2 registration comes back on a '18 white Lexus G350 to a Mr Barry Benjamin of 79 Florence St #510S Newton. I received information Mr Benjamin's phone number was 339-223-0079. This number when called was not Mr Benjamin's. Later from HQ, I spoke to Ms Beer and provided her with the witness plate number observed as the paint color is a match to the damage sustained on her Mv. She was advised insurance company will investigate further based on current information received. Later, the witness Mr Kaplan returned my phone call and provided the following statement: Kaplan stated he was in his driveway outside directly across the street from where the accident was taking place. Kaplan stated the accident was very obvious as damage was unfolding while Mr Benjamin was attempting to squeeze between Mv#1 and another vehicle. Kaplan stated after realizing he (Mr Benjamin) could not fit he started to drive away. Kaplan stated it drew the attention of another witness (unknown) standing on the street when both walked up to Mr Benjamin's vehicle and asked him if he was going to leave a note for the damaged vehicles. Benjamin refused. Kaplan described Benjamin's overall demeanor as "rude." Kaplan stated he told Benjamin he has cameras capturing the incident. Not until then, Benjamin got out of his car and left a note on only the other vehicle reported to be minor license plate damage. Kaplan stated Benjamin never left a note on Mv#1, the vehicle with obvious moderate damage. Kaplan stated he actually viewed the note left on the other vehicle and said it was illegible. Kaplan told Benjamin this and Benjamin yelled to him "mind your own business" and drove away. Kaplan stated his ring doorbell camera was not positioned to capture any of the incident. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On September 8, 2021 I was able to make contact with the operator of MV2, Mr. Barry Benjamin (S42076881). Mr. Benjamin stated he was operating his 2018 Lexus G350 (MA: CIAF31) at the time of the crash. Mr. Benjamin stated he was backing his vehicle into a parking spot and the space ended up being too small. Mr. Benjamin stated the rear of his vehicle crashed into the front bumper area of MV1, knocking off it's license plate. Mr. Benjamin stated he got out of his vehicle and put the plate back on MV1. Mr. Benjamin stated he left a note in the vehicle with his contact information and left the area. I asked Mr. Benjamin if he was aware of making contact with another vehicle in the area. Mr. Benjamin stated he did not make contact with any other vehicle. Mr. Benjamin stated there was no damage to his vehicle and stated he would e-mail me pictures of his vehicle and pictures of MV1 that he took on scene. Those pictures were forwarded to the IT Bureau to be added to this report. Mr. Benjamin also stated in his e-mail, "My wife informed me that the homeowner who contacted the police called my wifes attention to a car up the street. The car was on the opposite side near a dirt road that had been side swiped earlier. My wife said, "That has nothing to do with us" and the homeowner agreed that that situation did not involve our car." At this time, no charges will be filed against Mr. Benjamin for leaving the scene of property damage.

On 9/7/21, Brooke Movitz DOB 5/6/99 came to NPD Headquarters to report a hit & run of MA reg 646NM7. Movitz states she was parked in the Newton Centre Lot in a row of parking stalls near Walgreens on the Langley Rd side. Around 1315 hrs, Movitz noticed damage to the left rear side of her vehicle. She stated that the vehicle parked next to her, MA reg 298MS7, had damage to the front left side and was parked at an angle that may suggest an improper turn into the parking spot (see diagram). Movitz was able to show me two pictures of minor damage to both vehicles, however I am not able to confirm that the damage is related to each other via the photographs. A white male with spiky hair in his 40's drove off in the vehicle, according to Movitz, but there was no interaction between the two. I was able to make contact with the owner of the vehicle in question, who told me that his son Daniel Suleski III DOB 4/10/92 was operating his car today. Suleski was able to be reached by phone and was adament that he did not hit another vehicle. Suleski did state he was parked in the Newton Centre Lot around the time in question. Officer Marini checked the area for any cameras that may record the area with negative results. Based on the totality of the facts presented, I am unable to reach a definitive conclusion at this time. Movitz was advised to contact her insurance company for further assistance.

Malloy stated she went out front and observed a blue dump truck driving southbound on William Street. Malloy said she was unable to see any writing on the vehicle. Malloy said she saw there was damage done to her vehicle. The front driver side bumper was hanging off and there was scratches starting from the rear driver door all the way up to the front driver side door causing the driver side mirror to be taken off as well. Malloy was visiting her friend, Barbara Harteln, who lives at 45 William Street. Harteln has a ring camera which catches the blue dump truck driving southbound on William Street. However Harteln informed me the camera did not pick up Malloy's vehicle being struck. I provided Harteln with my department email and advised her to send me the footage from her ring camera. I canvassed the neighborhood and was unable to find any other cameras near 45 William Street. I provided Malloy with the crash report number to this incident and advised her to contact her insurance company and to take photographs of her vehicle. Malloy said she was going to contact AAA to come and tow the vehicle to a dealership near her house in Hingham.

On 9/20/21, Nipa Goud DOB 4/19/77 came to NPD Headquarters to report a past hit & run of MA reg 5RR913 ( vehicle #1). Goud states she was shopping in Johnson String 1029 Chestnut St on 9/15 around 1300 hrs when a good samaritan came into the store. He stated that the above mentioned vehicle had been hit in the parking lot. The witness is Allyn McCourt (617) 875-3457. He provided Goud with a description of an older female driving MA reg 2EE316. It was reported that she made contact with the rear of vehicle #1 and immediately left the scene. I spoke to Mccourt on the phone, who informed me that the woman was a white female between 60-70 yrs old. She appeared to be making a 3-point turn in the lot, hit a bush, then the rear bumper of vehicle #1. I asked Mccourt if there was any indication that the woman knew she hit vehicle #1, to which he stated "it certainly seemed so, because she motioned for me to move out of her way after she hit it". The vehicle was described by Mccourt as a blue sedan. MA reg 2EE316 comes back active on a 2011 blue Toyota Camry to Sergey Klepikov out of 1156 Chestnut St in Newton. QED shows a Vera Klepikov residing at that same address with a DOB of 12/22/52. I have left a message with the number on file for the Klepikov residence for Vera to contact me. Damage to vehicle #1 appears to be minor-moderate scraping from the picture I was shown by Goud. To be further investigated.

On 10/19/21 at 08:30 hours, Sgt. Wade notified me that he received an email regarding a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian/student that occurred on 10/15/21 between the hours of 08:20am and 08:35am. The crash was never reported by the operator of the vehicle or the student/pedestrian. Approximately two hours later, the student went to the nurse's office seeking assistance for neck pain which is how the school became aware. This crash occurred in the marked crosswalk on Brandeis Road in front of Newton South High School which is located at 139 Brandeis Road. The weather at the time was 63 degrees with mostly cloudy and sunny conditions (wunderground.com). Brandeis Road is a two way roadway divided by an unprotected median that runs east and westbound. In front of the school there is a marked crosswalk in the roadway. There is also a one way driveway near the main entrance of the school with parking stalls and parents can drop their children off there on the right side of the driveway. The driveway then leads back out to Brandeis Road. Right after you exit the lot there is the above mentioned crosswalk to the left of the driveway which is very visible with nothing obstructing your view. On arrival, I spoke to the Dean of the school named Charlie Myette. Mr. Myette brought me to his office and started looking at the school's video surveillance system. He also requested that the student/pedestrian involved to report to his office. The student was identified as Tsukasa Iinishi. I asked Mr. Iinishi what had occurred and he stated that he was walking to school on the morning of 10/15/21. He says that he was wearing a pink hoody sweatshirt with gray shorts. He was walking through the woods which is across the street from the school which exit out to Brandeis Road. He says that he waited at the crosswalk and let two vehicles go westbound by him. He then thought it was clear to proceed and started walking. At the tail end of the crosswalk he was struck by a red colored Toyota Prius which exited left from the driveway and was on the left side of the roadway. He was struck on the left side of his body and he says that he used his left hand to brace himself against the hood and that's when the Prius stopped. He says that the operator of the Prius asked him if he was okay and he replied that he was. He then kept walking toward the school. The operator then continued on it's way without providing any information or notifying us. He described the operator as an Asian female with black hair approximately 40 to 50 yrs in age. During this time, Mr. Myette was able to find surveillance video of the crash. There are two camera angles. One shows the driveway along with the walkway of the school building. The other one shows the same but it also overlooks out in to Brandeis Road. The view of the road is partially blocked from the parked cars in the lot. The video shows a red colored Toyota Prius pull in to the driveway of the school. An Asian female student wearing a white long sleeve shirt with green lettering and dark colored jeans exits the passenger front of the Prius and eventually enters the school. The Prius then pulls out and goes toward the left side of the driveway around other vehicles waiting to exit. At 08:27 hours, the Prius pulls out angling towards the left side of the driveway going around other vehicles waiting to exit. The Prius then exits the lot on the left side (wrong side) of the roadway and makes contact with the pedestrian. In the video you cannot see the front hood area of the car, but you see Iinishi's torso bend towards the vehicle on impact. It shows the Prius stopped there for approximately ten seconds and then it drives away. In the video you are not able to see the registration plate number. Mr. Myette is going to send the photo of the student dropped off in the Prius to his staff to have her identified so I can follow up with the operator. On 10/21/21, I received an email from Mr. Myette stating that some of his staff has not come forward on the identification of the student. He stated that he would now send a message out to a larger group of staff to see if he gets a response. He also attempted to enhance the registration plate using the surveillance software but the plate is still too blurry to make out. On 10/25/21 at approximately 08:40 hours, I went over to Newton South High School to see if I could locate the red Toyota Prius involved in the crash. As I was driving on Olde Field Road approaching Brandeis Road near the school, I observed a red Prius approximately four cars ahead of me in heavy school traffic. Eventually, I observed the Prius pull in to the drop off driveway of the school and drop an Asian female student off. I identified her as the same student that got out of Prius prior to the past accident on 10/15/21. The operator was an Asian female which appeared to be in her late forties. After, the Prius exits the lot on to Brandeis Road and I flagged her down. I had her pull in to the parking lot across the street from the school. I asked her if she was involved in a accident with a student on the morning of 10/15/21 to which she replied that she was. She was identified as Xiaojin Liu through her MA Driver's License # S49033927. She was operating a 2010 Toyota Prius bearing MA reg.# 8JY630. I asked her what occurred and she stated that she was exiting the driveway of the school to turn left on to Brandeis Road. She says that she has a habit to think that no one is ever walking through the crosswalk and thought it was clear to proceed. She turned and then saw the student crossing and attempted to stop but was not able to in time. She then bumped the student with the front of her vehicle. She says that she stopped and asked the student if he was ok several times and he stated that he was. The student then walked away and she says that she did not know what else to do. I advised her that she should of gave her information to the student, notify the school, or call us to which she understood. I issued MA Uniform Citation # 172129AB to Ms. Liu for Ch. 90/24/A Leaving the scene of personal injury. After, I went inside the school and notified Mr. Myette of my findings. I asked him for the surveillance footage as I previously did in person and through email. He stated that he would put the video on a zip drive and notify me.

I responded to 234 Langley Road for a two car M/V crash with entrapment. Upon arrival with other officers, Fire, and medics I saw the following. MV1 was flipped over on the road way and the operator was still in the vehicle, but the passenger was outside the vehicle. MV1 Hit a parked MV2 unoccupied. MV1 was traveling north on Langley Rd when MV1 swerved to its right and made contact with the left rear bumper of the MV 2. The impact of the two MV's caused MV1 to flip over and land on its roof. Based on my observation the scene indicated : day light, clear and there were no road defects. I took numerous pictures which were submitted to IT bureau so they can be attached to this report. Both MV1 driver and passenger were taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Tody's arrived on scene and took possession of both MV's. A canvas of the area resulted with one neighbor at 255 Langley who witnessed the accident. Mr. Vish Showdhary stated that he saw MV1 driving on Langley Rd when MV1 crashed into the parked MV. He stated that there were no other vehicles on the road and that MV1 drove right into the parked vehicle. The scene was cleaned and I went to Beth Israel Hospital to speak with the operator and passengers of MV1. The operator of MV1 stated that they have no recollection of what happened. She stated that she does not know how she hit the parked MV and that the last thing she remembers is being pulled out of the rolled over MV by the Fire Department. The passenger in MV1 stated that he does not remember how the crash occurred. He stated that he was unsure how MV1 crashed into MV2. He stated thathe was able to get out of the MV without a problem. After a review of the crash I am citing MV1 with the following. M.G.L 89/4A Marked lanes and M.G.L 90/24E Negligent Operation.(Citation # 1445881) Furthermore a request for immediate threat license revocation was filled and submitted to the RMV. The MV Citation was delivered to the operator of MV1 in hand at the Beth Israel Hospital.

Narrative:
On Friday 11/19/21 at approximately 0938 hours while assigned to marked unit n497 I was dispatched to the area of 1256 Commonwealth Ave for a report of a past Hit and Run. Upon arrival in front of 1256 and 1270 Commonwealth Ave across the street on the Westbound side I observed a concrete light post broken at the base and laying in the Grass median between Commonwealth Ave and the Carriage Rd. The light pole had an electric wire attached to it that connected at utility pole 102/180. On the grassy area was several pieces of debris from the vehicle causing the damage, including what appeared to be an empty steel liquid storage container, possibly gas. there was no evidence of any sort of spill so the container may have been empty upon impact. After canvassing the area for evidence related to the vehicle involved I spoke with the resident at 1270 Commonwealth Ave, BLAKELY Thomas. Thomas states he heard a loud crash at approximately 0300am, but wasn't sure what it was. I noticed cameras on his home and asked if we could view the video. Video showed the vehicle impacting the pole and spinning out and then continuing Westbound on Commonwealth Ave Thomas emailed the video to me and Ofc Drew Vello. After returning to Newton Police Headquarters Ofc. Vello and I viewed the video and at 0300 hours a Tow Truck is seen veering off the road travelling Westbound on Commonwealth Ave and striking the light pole. Tow Truck spins sideways in the grass, and then continues Westbound on Commonwealth Ave. As the truck gets back on Commonwealth Ave there is lettering visible on the drivers side door, but Ofc Vello and I were unable to make out what the lettering says. I also took 7 photos of the area of the crash and emailed them to Officer Vello to attach to this report. Eversource and the City were notified to attend to the light pole, wires and debris.

Narrative:
On Sunday November 21st at approx. 1720 Hrs. I responded to 191 Jackson Rd for a motor vehicle accident roll over with entrapment. Upon arrival I witnessed MV1 on its side in the middle of Jackson Rd. The operator of MV1 was conscious and alert and was taken out of the MV by the Newton Fire Department. The operator of MV1 stated that she was driving S/B on Jackson Rd. and she did not see the parked car on the right side of the road. MV1 then tried to swerve around MV2 and clipped the left rear bumper, and left rear door of MV2 which caused MV1 to roll over onto the middle of the road. MV1 had major damage all around the vehicle and all airbags deployed. MV2 had major damage to the rear and to the left side of the MV. Due to the extensive damage and length of travel of MV1 it was estimated that MV1 was traveling at a speed greater than 35 MPH. Speed limit for Jackson Rd is 25 MPH. MV2 was pushed approx. 20 feet from where it was parked, and MV1 travelled approx 25 feet after on its drivers side after impact. The operator of MV1 was transported by EMS to NWH, and Todys's took possession of both motor vehicles. Pictures were taken and submitted to IT. The operator of MV1 was cited 90/17, speeding.

The owner of MV1 was inside the Shaking Crab located at 203 Adams street when he came outside and observed damage to the drivers side of his parked vehicle. A good Samaritan witnessed the accident and stated to him, a SUV struck the reporting parties vehicle and took off. The witness took video of the accident. I watched the video and observed the SUV hit MV1 with the passenger side of the vehicle and then brake and continued southbound on Adams st. The witness got a registration of MA reg 2BZH27 and told the owner of MV1 that a female was operating the vehicle. Dispatch attempted to contact the owner of the vehicle yielding negative results and unable to leave a voicemail. A text message was sent to the owner to contact NPD from the dispatch cell phone. MV1 had damage to the driver side doors and mirror. A voicemail was left for the witness. I forwarded a video of the accident and photo of the vehicle to IT to be added to the report. As of now the owner of MV2 is listed as "uninvolved owner" under persons "2" until the accident is further investigated and until contact is made with the owner to determine who was operating the vehicle. Charges pending. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On March 11, 2022, I reviewed the dash camera footage submitted to the IT Bureau by Officer Stake. The footage shows a dark colored SUV vear off to the right side of the roadway on Adams Street. The vehicle's front passenger side crashes into the driver side of a parked vehicle in front of 203 Adams Street (S). As the witness drives by where the crash occured, the footage from their camera pans over to the parked vehicle and shows damage to it's driver side. The footage then resumes facing Southbound on Adams Street and the fleeing vehicle continues Southbound on Adams Street towards Washginton Street and does not stop. The vehicle is idenitified by a still photo submitted by the witness as a 2016 Kia Sportage bearing Massachusetts registration 2BZH27. This vehicle is registed to Ms. Jennifer Mc Quiggan (S30952065). I contacted Ms. Mc Quiggan and asked about her vehicles involvement in the crash on March 10, 2022. Ms. Mc Quiggan stated she was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash on Adams Street and thought she hit a snow bank. I advised Ms. Mc Quiggan that I had just finsihed reviewing the footage of the crash that was submitted by a witness and it shows her vehicle vearing off of the road and crashing into a parked vehicle. After reviewing the footage of the crash and obtaining an admission by Ms. Mc Quiggan that she was operating MV2 at the time of the crash, I issued Ms. Mc Quiggan Massachusetts Uniform Citation 328660AB for Chapter 90, Section 24 (Leaving the Scene of Property Damage) and Chapter 89, Section 4A (Marked Lanes Violation). Adams Street is a public way maintained by the City of Newton.

On Monday May 16, 2022 at 0848 hours vehicle 1 was stopped in front of #188 Lexington St waiting to pick up a child. While parked vehicle 1s drivers side mirror was hit by a passing vehicle traveling southbound towards Commonwealth Ave with out stopping. The operator of vehicle 1, Claire Rice was driving for JSC Transportation and had one child aboard, Amir Ayden-Cronin who was being transported to Newton Early Childhood on Jackson Rd. Neither Rice or Ayden-Cronin reported any injuries and signed patient refusals with Fallon medics. Sahar Zaheer (617-943-8356) is the mother of Amir and I spoke to her over the phone. Zaheer was notified of the situation and gave consent for medics to evaluate her son and for him to continue to school for the day. I contacted Susan Downs (781-272-8555) of JSC to attempt to see if the vans dash camera captured any of the incident but have not heard back at this time. Rice had already spoken to her dispatch who did not believe the camera would have been clear enough to pick up anything to assist in identifying the other operator. Officer Gaudet took pictures of the damage to the vans mirror.

Owner of MV1 said she was standing in front of her house, 135 Randlett Park when she heard a loud bang. Owner of MV1 saw a landscaping company truck and trailer speeding away from her car. Owner of MV1 noted that there was a vehicle parked directly across the street making the street narrow but said trucks have been going up and down the street all day without any issues. Owner of MV1 said she could not make out the lettering on the truck but got the license plate which is 459567. Owner of MV1 said she's certain that this was the license plate but there is a chance she missed a number. I ran the license plate and it comes back cancelled to a 1988 American Command Pick Up truck and there is no contact information for the owner of the vehicle. It shows that the registration has been expired since 12/31/1989. Owner of MV1 showed me the damage that was done to the vehicle which was a flat tire on the rear direr side. Owner of MV1 made arrangements for AAA to come and take care of the vehicle. I provided Owner of MV1 with this accident report number. I canvassed the area for the landscaping truck with negative results. Owner of MV1 contacted me stating her neighbor has a picture of the truck off of their front door camera. Owner of MV1 emailed me the picture and I forwarded the picture to IT to be attached to this report. It should be noted you can not make out the lettering of the company in the photo.

Narrative:
On 06/06/22 at 15:12 hours, I was at the Cabot School on Bridges Avenue doing a school crossing guard post when I was flagged down by a witness about a hit and run motor vehicle crash that occurred a few minutes prior. The crash took place in the school driveway/parking lot that runs between Bridges Avenue and Norwood Avenue. The driveway/parking lot is a one way roadway that enters through Bridges Avenue and exits out to Norwood Avenue. It allows staff to park their vehicles there and it is used for school pickup and drop off. The witness identified as Michelle Reddick stated that she was in her vehicle in the school pickup line to the above mentioned driveway of the school. Ms. Reddick observed a black colored Mercedes GLE450 bearing MA reg.# 2AWR85 come in through the one way driveway going the wrong way. The Mercedes then attempted to back up in to a parking spot reportedly three times with two other vehicles parked on each side. While doing so, the operator struck the rear end of M/V # 2. The operator of M/V # 1 was described as an Asian female. Ms. Reddick stated that other parents saw the accident but nothing was said to the operator. Reddick beeped her horn at the operator to get her attention but the Mercedes pulled away and left the scene without leaving their information. Reddick took a picture of the vehicle (Mercedes GLE450) and registration (MA 2AWR85) and showed it to me. M/V # 2 was a 2020 Nissan Rogue color gray bearing MA reg. # 598VN7. The owner, Elizabeth McFadyen, was made aware of the crash and provided the owner's information from the Mercedes. The vehicle sustained minor scratches to the left side of the rear bumper. The left side rear quarter panel/bumper area was no longer mounted flush with the rest of the body also. The owner of the Mercedes is an Asian female listed as Qiong Yang out of 480 Main Street Apt. # 113 Malden, MA. I was not able to locate a phone number for her and Malden Police Department had no contact info either. A department letterhead was sent to the address requesting the owner to contact me regarding the crash.
