On Sunday 1/2/22 at approximately 1054 hours while assigned to marked unit n498 I was dispatched to the area of 1210 Chestnut Street for a report of a past Hit and Run. Upon arrival I spoke with the damaged vehicle's owner, ODVARKA Joseph, who states last night he parked his vehicle around 4:30pm in his parking spot that runs along a fence bordering the parking lot of Brickfire Pizza and Allstar Liquors (1214 - 1220 Chestnut Street). ODVARKA states between the hours of 4:30pm and 8:30pm last night someone struck the fence on the other side causing it to buckle and do damage to the passenger side of ODVARKA's vehicle. After speaking with ODVARKA I canvassed the area and noticed surveillance cameras at Brickfire Pizza and All Star Liquors. The owner of Brickfire states to the camera only captures footage from the front door and inside the establishment. The owner of All Star Liquor states his cameras only capture footage from the front of the store and the inside and the cameras are real time only and do not record. Businesses across the street were not open and I did not observe any external cameras.

Narrative:
On Monday 1/3/22 at approximately 0854 hours while assigned to marked unit n498 I was dispatched to the area of 241 Nahanton Street for a report of a single car crash, motor vehicle into a tree with unknown injuries. Upon arrival I spoke with the operator, TEIXEIRA Kevin, who was standing outside of his vehicle and uninjured. TEIXEIRA states he was driving eastbound on Nahanton street and coming around the bend when he observed a motor vehicle in the westbound lane swerve to avoid something. When the other motor vehicle swerved it crossed the double yellow line and entered the eastbound lane coming at TEIXEIRA head on. TEIXEIRA states to avoid contact with the oncoming vehicle he swerved into the Westbound lane of Nahanton Street going off the road and striking several trees. TEIXEIRA states he was unable to observe a license plate number or what type of car crossed the double yellow line. TEIXEIRA states everything happened very quickly which prevented him from getting any other information. He states one motor vehicle pulled over and inquired if he was injured, but did not see what happened. TEIXEIRA further states the motor vehicle that swerved into his lane never stopped.

Narrative:
On 01/03/22 at approximately 1617 hours Officer Robert March and I, Officer Whitney Hyde, were assigned to N499 when we were dispatched to a 2 car MVA at 160 Needham St with no injuries. Both vehicles were waiting in the parking lot. On location I made contact with the operator of Vehicle 1, identified as Samantha LERNER. LERNER stated that the had been travelling southbound on Needham St and stopped in the center left turn lane to turn into the Farm Grill. When it was clear to turn, LERNER began to turn left when Vehicle 2 passed her on the left and made contact with the driver side front quarter panel of Vehicle 1. I observed scrapes and minor damage to Vehicle 1's front bumper and driver side front wheel rim. LERNER stated that the operator of Vehicle 2, later identified as Leanna LANDE, exited her vehicle at the time of the accident and exclaimed that her dog was dying and she was headed to the animal hospital down the road and they could exchange information there. LERNER proceeded to the animal hospital and was waiting for LANDE to come back out. I then entered the animal hospital and made contact with LANDE. LANDE was extremely upset as her 7 week old puppy had just died. LANDE stated that she had been in a panic because of her dying dog and passed LERNER when she shouldn't have, stating it was "stupid." Outside of the animal hospital I observed Vehicle 2 had minor damage along the length of the passenger side, including scrapes with white paint transfer. I issued LANDE MA Uniform Citation #T1448086 in hand for 89/4A Marked Lanes violation and explained the payment and appeal process. LANDE stated she understood. I provided LANDE and LERNER with the accident number and facilitated their exchange of information before clearing without further incident.
