Operator 1 stated she was traveling Westbound on Centre St when her front passanger side tire blew out. Operator 1 lost control of the vehicle and it struck a City tree in front of 1611 Centre St. Vehicle 1 sustained major damage and was towed by Tody's. There were no injuries.

ON 5-24-19 AT APPROX. 1341HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF CALVIN AND LOWELL AVE. I SPOKE TO THE OPERATOR OF VEHICLE #1. DRIVER STATES HE WAS TRAVELING S-BOUND ON LOWELL AVE. WHEN HE WAS HIT IN THE RIGHT SIDE BY VEHICLE #2. VEHICLE #2 STATES SHE WAS STOPPED ON CALVIN PREPARING TO GO LEFT ON LOWELL AVE. SHE STATED SHE LOOKED LEFT AND DIDN'T SEE ANYONE COMING. SHE LOOKED RIGHT AND SEEING IT WAS CLEAR SHE HEADED ONTO LOWELL AVE. BY THE TIME SHE SAW VEHICLE #1 SHE WAS UNABLE TO AVOID HITTING HIM. ALL PARTIES REPORTED NO INJURIES. ALL PARTIES ADVISED TO CONTACT THEIR INSURANCE COMPANIES. VEHICLE #1 HAD RIGHT SIDE VEHICLE DAMAGE. VEHICLE #2 HAD FRONT END VEHICLE DAMAGE. Bike One was travelling Eastbound on Auburndale Ave when it appeared the operators front tire came in contact with a slightly raised manhole cover causing the operator to fall off his bike and impact the roadway. The cyclist was wearing a safety helmet but received a laceration around his eye and several lacerations to his arms and legs. He was transported to Beth Israel Boston. I spoke to the bicyclist who was unsure of how the crash occurred. I contacted his brother, Paul Colangelo (603 434-1251) who was advised of the incident. Photos were taken of the crash scene and emailed to the IT Bureau. I placed his bike into support services for safekeeping.

The operator of MV1 (MA Reg: 798JV4) stated he was travelling southbound on Cotton St when he was cut off by MV2 and they collided in the intersection of Cotton St and Clements Rd. MV1 stated that MV2 did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Clements Rd and Cotton St. The operator of MV2 (MA Reg. 8EZV80) stated that she was driving westbound on Clements Rd and did not see the stop sign. MV2 stated that she is unfamiliar with the area. MV2 admitted to going through the stop sign without stopping, and collided to MV1 in the middle of the intersection. MV1 sustained front end damage. MV2 sustained passenger side damage. All parties involved refused medical attention. The operator of MV2 was issues Mass. Uniform Citation T1272252 for failing to stop at the stop sign.

The cashier of the QuickStop (293 Watertown St) stated she was informed by an unknown customer that a vehicle had been hit behind the store and the driver fled (no suspect vehicle information provided). The cashier informed the owner of the vehicle who then observed minor damage to the drivers side. Cristofori Jewelers (291 Watertown St) does have cameras in the area, however the business is closed and their voicemail was not set up. It is unknown how this accident occurred (side swipe, angle, back in).
