On 1/18/19 at approximately 1200hrs, a party who wished to remain anonymous reported observing a tractor trailer travelling on Washington St W/B at #1479 where the street curves to the right struck a traffic light pole in front of Burke & Blackington Funeral Home. The side of the trailer struck the pole. It was reported the operator, a non descript black male, stopped after the collision, picked up the downed pole and moved it onto the sidewalk. Markings observed on the trailer were "Powered Transportation" out of Laurel, Mississippi. Unknown plates. Operator left scene and as of this time, it hasn't been reported by the operator. Photos were taken of the downed pole and submitted to the IT bureau. Daigle Electric notified to respond. Google search of "Powered Transportation" was negative results.

Aubrey Quintus states that she parked ND Reg 539AAR at 200 Boylston St in the parking lot. When she came back to her vehicle she noticed the right side had been struck by an unidentified vehicle. No witnesses, injuries or tow. Quintus was advised.

On the above date and time I responded to the area of St.James St at Washington Street for a report of a past hit/run with City traffic signal knocked over. Upon arrival I observed the the traffic signal on St. James Street westbound just before the Washington Street bridge on the roadway. I did observe what appeared to be a sidewalk plow tire impressions on the sidewalk to the traffic signal. I cnanvassed the area with negative results and I am waiting to hear back from Public works who may have been assigned the area to plow the side walks. I also checked for any cameras in the area with negative results. I took pictures of the crash site area and I will have them downloaded at th I.T. Bureau.

The operator of MV#1 stated that she was backing out of a parking spot in the Star Market Parking lot, #2040 Commonwealth Ave when she was involved in a MV crash. Operator #1 stated that she and the other operator both exited their MV's and even though there was obvious damage to MV#1, the operator of MV#2 refused to provide any information, got back into his MV and left the area. Operator #1 describes MV#2 as a large yellow backhoe that did not display a MV plate and she didn't observe a company name anywhere on the MV. The operator id described as W/M, approx. 40 YOA with brown hair. There is a backhoe type MV presently in the Star Market parking lot and operator #1 stated that is not the other MV involved. I also spoke with a Star Market manager who will view their exterior video footage of the parking area and notify me if it provides any information.

On 02/08/2019, I, Officer Conary, responded to 309 Tremont Street for a past hit and run involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, I was met by FEBLOWITZ, Colleen, who stated at approximately 1745 hours, she was crossing in the crosswalk at Tremont at Hibbard when her foot was hit by a car. FEBLOWITZ explained to me that she was in the crosswalk and she saw a silver sedan, MV1, traveling Eastbound on Tremont Street approaching her but it was far away where she felt safe to walk across the street. She said she also raised her hand to draw attention to herself. FEBLOWITZ was halfway in the crosswalk when she felt severe pain in her right foot. She looked behind her and saw MV1 was very close to her. MV1 continued to drive down Tremont Street and not stop. There were no witnesses. FEBLOWITZ went to Partner's Urgent Care to be treated for minor injuries. The crosswalk is in a lighted roadway. FEBLOWITZ was unable to gain any other information on MV1. No further incident to report.

On 2/9/19 I responded to 54 Ash St and met with Ms. Zardar Hovhannisyan in regards to a past hit & run to her vehicle. Hovhannisyan parked MA reg 1EC474 on Ash St (a northbound public one way street) just prior to Commonwealth Ave around 0800 hrs this morning. When she returned around 1000 hrs, she noticed moderate damage to the front left area of the vehicle. There was minor debris on the ground consistent with the damage I viewed. It should be noted that there are parking stalls parallel to where the vehicle was parked, with several residents of Norumbega Gardens coming and going quite frequently. It is not believed that there are cameras facing the specific area where the collision occurred. Hovhannisyan was advised to contact her insurance company.

Operator of MV1 states she parked her vehicle on the street in front of 135 Winchester Street at approximately 8:00pm and when she came out to her vehicle at 1:28am there was damage to the front left fender and tire. No witnesses to the accident. MV1 was disabled due to the damage and towed by Tody's. UPDATE: On 03/10/2019, Timothy Grady came to the Newton Police Station to report he hit a vehicle on Winchester Street. He stated he thought he hit snow, but with the damage on the front right he realized he hit another vehilce and wanted to report it. Grady's statements (date, time, and location) matched with this hit and run. Grady was advised of the process.

Operator of MV1 stated that at approximately 1600hrs, she was traveling westbound on Washington Street in the Newton Corner rotary, when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle travelling in the same direction. MV1 sustained minor damage to the passenger side front bumper. Operator of MV1 said that the other vehicle got onto the Mass Pike westbound on ramp. She was unable to get a license plate or any information except that it was a brown or gold sedan. She declined medical attention and the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.

No vehicle was observed in the area of the incident. It was observed that a 2 hour parking sign had been struck. Visible tire marks were on the sidewalk/ curb of Pembroke St. It was observed that the tire marks from the vehicle and the way the street sign fell that the vehicle was possibly traveling southbound on Pembroke St and crossed over to the left side of the roadway striking the sign. 3 pictures were taken at the scene and submitted to IT. City of Newton notified about damages.

The operator of Vehicle #1 returned to her vehicle to a note from a witness that stated that she witnessed a vehicle strike her front bumper, as it was reversing to park. I also observed a small dent and a scratch consistent with a collision of this type on Vehicle #1's bumper. All attempts to contact Vehicle #2 have been negative, of yet. I will follow up on my next tour. The witness, identified as Ms. Michelle Temple, stated that she observed the collision, and added that it was with enough force to cause damage to the bumper. She then stated to the operator, "you just hit that car", to which the operator replied, "I know", and then walked away towards Newtonville Square. I was later able to speak with Ms. Rogovin. She stated that she didn't believe any damage was caused, thus she didn't notify anyone.

Owner of MV1 reports he came out to the parking lot and observed new damage to the drivers rear door of his MV. MV1 was parked at approximatley 0900 hours and the damage was observed at 1700 hours. I observed damage to the drivers side rear door of MV1. I also observed broken red plastic on the ground, consistent with a broken taillight from being backed into by another MV. Owner of MV1 is going to check with his boss to see if cameras from his workplace capture the parking lot. No other cameras were visible in the parking lot area.

MV1 was parallel parked in front of Bank of America on Walnut St when he began to pull out, MV2, ( suspected to be MA Reg:8WX995) hit MV1 on his driver's side door. MV2 backed up in the road and then sped off without stopping to give his information. MV1 operator, Marcus Klevan, came into the police station to report this hit and run which occurred around 1430hrs today. MV1 operator and passenger were able to identify the license plate of the vehicle as it left the scene. The plate came back to a 1997 Toyota Tercel, blue, registered to John Twinomujuni out of Waltham. Waltham PD was notified and was unable to locate the vehicle at this time. UPDATE: Waltham PD was requested to check again for this vehicle at it's registered address tonight, 5/1/2019. This check resulted in negative results for the vehicle. No citation will be issued at this time until there is verification that this vehicle was indeed involved in this accident.

Owner of MV1 states his vehicle was backed into a parking spot at the JCC, 333 Nahanton St. Sometime between 0720 to 0815 his vehicle was struck on the drivers side bumper (minor damage). There was possibly some white paint transfer however it was cleaned off prior to my arrival. I contacted the JCC, they stated they may have cameras, however the only person that can access them is not working (617 558 6552 - Brian Morris). There were no witnesses to the accident and it was not reported until later in the day.

Mauricio Maldonado states that he parked his vehicle (2) Ma Reg. 197ZC! in the parking lot at Planet Fitness at approx 1130 hrs. When he came out at 1400 hrs he noticed that someone smashed into his right rear side. No witnesses, no video surveillance.

Merrill Lawson states that she parked Ma Reg 12969 in front of 140 Beethoven Ave at approx 0820 hrs this morning. When she returned at approx 0910 hrs she noticed that someone sideswiped her vehicle causing damage to the left rear/side. No witnesses.

Operator of MV1 parked his vehicle outside his residence from 1100-1600hrs today. When he returned home at 1630, he came outside and noticed someone had struck his rear drivers side bumper. The vehicle had moderate damage and did not require a tow. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the accident and no note or other party information was left. Operator of MV1 requested the accident to be documented for insurance purposes.

The owner of vehicle #1 who resides at 142 Cabot St. stated that due to construction being done on Cabot St. that she was unable to park her motor vehicle at 142 Cabot St. The vehicle was parked along with numerous other vehicles on Westchester RD. Vehicle #1 was parked in front of 99 Westchester Rd from approximately 2000 Hrs on 06/26/2019 until approximately 1000 hrs on 06/27/2019. Vehicle #1 was struck by an unknown vehicle during those hours. At vehicle owner one's request I spoke with detail Officer Stake who was on Westchester Rd. in the morning of the 06/27. Officer Stake stated he did not hear or see Vehicle #1 being struck by a vehicle while he was on scene.

On 06/28/2019, while assigned to West Newton, I, Officer Conary, met with Owner of MV1 for a report of a past hit and run accident. Owner of MV1 explained to me that at approximately 0800 hours they parked MV1 on Walker Street on the side of the road. At 1700 hours, they observed a dent on front right bumper. There was a note left that stated "a green van hit your car and scraped - License plate C49807". There was no additional information. The registration comes back to a party out of Somerville MA, Frank Sarno Jr. Somerville PD was contacted to check the residence. They left a note to have Sarno call Newton Police. Investigation is still ongoing until all parties involved have been contacted.

An unknown MV struck a fire hydrant located on the sidewalk in front of Whole Foods. Fire department and water department were notified. Four photos were taken of the hydrant by me and given in hand to the It bureau.

Owner of MV1 stated while she was inside the Starbucks at 224 Needham St her motor vehicle was struck in the front driver side bumper. Owner of MV1 stated she parked her vehicle to the right of the Starbucks, facing Southbound. Owner of MV1 stated there was moderate damage to the right front bumper and fender. Owner of MV1 was not able to provide a description of the vehicle.

On Wednesday August 14th I responded to 42 Waterston Road for a report of a past hit and run. Upon arrival I met with Anne Giudice who stated her vehicle was struck while parked and unoccupied in front of her house sometime between 11am and 1245pm today. I noticed the vehicle to have been sideswiped and had white paint transfer and indentation all along the drivers side of the vehicle from bumper to bumper. The damage appears consistent with being hit by a white work van or SUV. A canvass of the area for a possible involved vehicle yielded negative results.

The operator of MV1 stated he parked Northbound facing Kenrick St. in the driveway of the golf course across from the club house at approximately 0600 hrs. When the operator returned to his vehicle at 0730 hrs, there was minor front drivers side damage. There is no other vehicle information at this time, and no cameras in the area.

Owner of V1 stated she received a text from her neighbor that a vehicle struck her vehicle and drove off. The neighbor described the vehicle as a white truck with a yellow stripe. V1's left mirror was struck and damaged. The other involved vehicle left without reporting. Owner of V1 wanted a report for insurance purposes.

Vehicle owner states he parked MA reg 3DH161 on the opposite side of the road from 297 Derby St around 0100 hrs this morning. Around 1530, he came out and noticed moderate damage to the front left corner of the vehicle. No tow required at this time, as the vehicle is parked legally and owner has his own tow coming. Area canvassed with negative results.

The homeowners at 1574 Centre Street reported that sometime between the hours of 21:00 and 08:00 a motor vehicle struck two US Postal Service Mailboxes which were on the sidewalk they then fell over and damaged there green fence, located in the front yard. I canvassed the area with yielding negative results. I contacted the US Postal Service and notified them of the incident. The mail boxes remained lock and its contents remained inside of the mail box.

Rizza stated he waited for the crosswalk signal to turn on. When it finally turned on to walk (white walking person) he got on his bike to start peddling. At this time, he observed a black vehicle traveling southbound traveling towards him. Moments later, Rizza was struck by the vehicle. Rizza rolled over the vehicle and hit the pavement. Rizza stated the vehicle took off, but he was unsure where it went (Mass Pike, Newton Corner, or Washington Street). The medics looked at Rizza and he was alert and had a minor laceration to his head. Rizza's mother Domenica Rizza picked him up and brought him to NWH. I drove around the area and could not find a black Honda sedan with damage to the front of it. As of now, I do not have anymore information. This report is a hit and run. Traffic Update (Officer Gaudet): Myself and Officer Anderson have both canvassed the area of the crash for identifying physical evidence from the vehicle that fled the scene with a negative result. We have also reached out to local business's in an attempt to secure surveillance footage of the crash with a negative result. At this time we are unable to obtain any further information on the vehicle that left the scene of the crash.

The owner of Vehicle #1 stated that he returned to his vehicle to find fresh damage to the driver's side door, and the driver's side quarter panel. No video, or signs of the other vehicle were left at the scene. The damage on the vehicle appears consistent with that of another vehicle side-swiping it from the opposite direction.

On 11/27/2019, at 1611 hours, I responded to the area of 69 Waltham St, Highlander Farms, for a two car hit and run accident. Upon arrival, I observed MV1 to have damage along the drivers side. The operator stated that she was traveling southbound on Waltham St when MV2, which was parked facing southbound in front of Highlander Farms, abruptly pulled out and hit her. The operator of MV2 then pulled a U-turn and fled northbound into Waltham. MV2 was described as a small light grey car with drivers side damage and a popped front right tire. The operator of MV2 is believed to be female. Waltham PD was notified and searched the area with negative results. There are no exterior cameras on any of the businesses in the area nor was I able to locate any witnesses. No injuries were reported and MV1 was driven from the scene.

On 11/28/19 owners of MV1 had noticed damage to the driver side above the wheel. The car was parked in front of 11 Normandy rd at approximately 1115 hours and the damage had been noticed at 1700 hours. There was minor damage caused.

Operator of MV1 stated between the hours of 2000 and 2200 his MV was struck, causing minor damage to his driver side mirror. Operator of MV1 stated he was not in the vehicle at the time and is unknown who had struck his mirror. MV1 was parked in the YMCA parking lot at the time of the accident. I was not able to speak with staff at the YMCA to see if they're cameras because it was closed.

MV1 stated his vehicle was parked in front of 192 Adams Street on 12/12/2019 unoccupied when it was possible sideswiped by a FLIXBUS. MV1 stated his dash cam recorded the incident showing a green and yellow colored Prevost bus with FLIXBUS in large lettering make contact with his vehicle. MV1 was unable to provide a plate number at the time but did state he saw what he believes to be the same bus the following day in the same area on 12/13/2019. MV1 was able to get a plate of MA APN REG:3799A, which is registered to United Leasing INC out of Indiana on a white 2017 PREO H345 58 passenger bus, insured by Safety Insurance. MV1 stated he already filed an accident report with the RMV and notified his insurance company. I attempted to make contact with the FLIXBUS company to get the drivers contact information but was only able to speak with a customer service representative in a foreign country who would not provide me with any information. I was able to locate an email address for the company and emailed a request for information but have not received a response. I advised MV1 of my investigation results and he was satisfied. MV1 stated the damage to his vehicle was minor.

Miriam Plavin-Masterman states that she parked vehicle #2 at the Whole Foods on Washington St earlier today. When she came out she noticed someone struck her right rear bumper. Miriam stated that checked with the store to see if there was video surveillance and there was not. No witnesses at this time. report for insurance purposes.

The owner of MV#1 stated she parked in the parking lot at 9 Beacon Pl. at 0800 hrs. At 1345 hrs. she noticed damaged to the drivers side font fender. There were no witnesses and the operator of MV#2 in unknown.

On January 9, 2020 at apprrox. 1430 hours I responded to the parking lot of 333 Nahanton St " JCC greater Boston" for a report of a past hit/run. Upon arrival I met with the RP Mr. Eugene Magier d.o.b. 7-7-61 35 Brandeis RD Newton MA 02459. He stated he parked his vehicle in the parking lot of 333 Nahanton St JCC building at approx. 0930 hours. He stated he returned to his vehicle at approx. 1030 there was a vehicle next to him parked too close so he went through the passenger door to get into his vehicle. He stated when he went to his next destination, he exited his vehicle and observed the damage. I observed the damage to the driver side rear near the wheel well to the pass door. He also stated he went back to the parking lot where he parked and found a blinker light next to where he parked and the color of the blinker light matched the partial color of the damage to his vehicle. The blinker had "Toyota" on it and the following partial numbers "KOITO - 48-5 SAE EAP2 96" I canvassed the area and observed camera in the possible area of the crash. I went to the JCC and met with Director of facilities Brian Morris 617-558-6552. We observed some video in that area that may be visible if the vehicle goes against the building to park. Mr. Morris is going to watch the video to see if there is a vehicle within the time frame and can observe the crash. He will contact NPD of his findings. I advised the owner of the process. I then left without further incident.

The owner of MV#1 stated she had parked her vehicle in the parking lot of 1314 Centre St and went into the store (Holly Cleaners) to pick up her dry cleaning. The owner of MV#1 stated her friend "Rosemary" who was sitting in the front passenger seat of MV#1, observed the vehicle parked next to it back out of its parking spot and struck MV#1. I spoke to the manager of Holly Cleaners and she was able to provide me with the customer's contact information that drove MV#2. The manager of Holly Cleaners was able to show me video footages of the accident. The video shows that operator of MV#2 attempted to back out of his parking spot making a sharp turn and leaving the area. The video then shows the passenger of MV#1 get out of the vehicle and looked at the damages. I am unable to determined if contact was made between the two vehicles but it was highly possible that contact was made. MV#2 appeared to be a gold colored "Audi" SUV operated by a Fred Ellis of 36 Sallbury Rd in Brookline MA (617 731-3358). I am unable to view a registration or locate a registered vehicle to a Fred Ellis at this time. The damage to MV#1 is to its driver's side rear door. It displayed a light color mark (Minor damages). There were no reported injuries to all parties involved. The front passenger of MV#1 was only known as "Rosemary" (Unknown last name, address or D.O.B). I contacted the operator of MV#2 and left a voicemail. To be further investigated pending statements from the operator of MV#2. On 01/17/2020 at 09:45 I spoke to Alfred Ellis and he stated that he was at the Holly Cleaners parking lot and could not reverse due to MV#1 parking so close to his vehicle. Mr. Ellis stated he unsure if he had made contact with MV#1. Mr. Ellis was forthcoming with his statements and provided me with his vehicle and license information. He stated he was not injured and I provided him with this accident report number along with information of the other involved vehicle.

Owner of V1 stated between the hours of 3:00pm and 5:00pm her vehicle was hit by an unknown vehicle. V1 was parked in the parking lot of 239 Watertown Street. The unknown vehicle left the crash and did not leave any information. V1 sustained significant damage to the right rear side of the vehicle. No injuries and no tows.

On Thursday, January 23rd 2020 at 1850 hours, I responded to a past hit and run on Walnut St across from 1203 Walnut St. Reporting Party Nadira Balgobin stated she was driving west on Walnut St when a vehicle merged off the Rt 9 ramp and collided with her vehicle while they were trying to merge onto her lane. The vehicle collided with the right side of her vehicle leaving fresh paint damage across the right side of her vehicle. The vehicle continued driving after Nadira pulled over to the side of the road. Nadira was unable to get a description of the vehicle other than it being green in color. There were no injuries. Nadira is the registered owner of CO Reg # RBW107, 2018 TOYT RAV COLOR MAROON.

On 1/29/20 at approximately 1835 hrs I responded to 50 Winchester St for a report of a MVA hit and run. Upon arrival I spoke with the owner of Tile in Style which is located at this address. Inga Sipicina stated that at 1050 hrs a brown UPS truck bearing S79977 struck a sign that was attached to the building above the entrance in two different locations. Inga stated the truck then took off. The sign had clear but minimal damage. A branch manager from UPS later came to the store to speak with Inga and her husband Slava and stated they would be in contact with them but didn't leave any information. I attempted to call the business but it was after hours and left a message. There were no injuries involved in this accident. On 2/4/20 I again attempted to contact UPS with negative results.

On 02/02/20 I responded outside of #1088 Boylston St and met with the home owner William J. Malaguti. He stated he found that s.t.b. yesterday 21:00 and 05:00 this morning, a vehicle had crashed into his fence and left the area. On he Circuit Ave side of his residence, I observed a post and two sections of white vinyl fence that were knocked over and damaged. One section of the fence had been propped back up and had tire marks on it. There was no other damage to the area or utility pole (located right near the fence). I canvassed the area with negative results. Malaguti stated this it the second time this type of incident has happened in the past couple of years.

On February 10, 2020 at approximately 1911 hours, while on patrol in Newton Centre Sq, I was approached by a woman who wished to report a past MV hit and run. Ms. Eileen Kavall stated last Thursday(02/06) between the hours of 1745 and 1830, her MV was parked in a handicap spot in front of the Star Market at 1 Boylston St. While parking her vehicle, she noticed a large white SUV parked in the spot directly next to her. She stated this vehicle was also in a handicap parking space but did not see a handicap sticker on the vehicle. When Eileen exited the store, she observed damage to her front left fender and the SUV was gone. I also observed this damage. Eileen did not have a number plate for the MV that hit her but stated the Star Market may have cameras facing where the incident occurred. I then provided Eileen with an accident report number and went to Star market to speak with the manager. At Star Market, I spoke with Janet Yaksic, store manager, who stated she remembered speaking with Eileen about the accident. Janet stated that she would have to contact the store's director in order to contact the loss prevention employees who do not work on site. The loss prevention employees would be able to review any possible footage by the end of the week and contact Newton Police with their findings. I left my name and contact info with Janet. This accident is still under investigation pending a review of the Star Market footage. Update: 02/22/20 I have not received any video surveillance from Star Market. RP will be advised to pursue with their insurance company.

On Wednesday 02/19/2020, at approximately 1500 hrs, operator of MV1 stated she was traveling eastbound on Newtonville Ave, right before Walnut Street, a dark colored pick up truck was traveling behind her. Operator of MV1 stated she was driving below speed limit due to the approaching intersection at Walnut street when MV2 went into the eastbound traveling lane attempting to go around her. While attempting to go around MV1, MV2 side swiped MV1 causing the driver side mirror to break off causing moderate damage to the driver side of her vehicle. Operator of MV1 stated the pick up truck then stopped in front of her and the operator, an adult male began to yell at her then drive off. Operator of MV1 stated she got back in her car and did not get any information and did not have her cell phone to call the police. Operator of MV1 stated she was able to drive her vehicle home that day. No further description of the pick up truck was provided.

The operator of vehicle 1 stated she was traveling West on the Washington Street bridge over the Mass Pike when vehicle 2, a gray SUV attempted to change lanes, as this happened the front passenger side quarter panel of vehicle 2 came in contact with the rear drivers side quarter panel of vehicle 1. This caused minor scratches to vehicle 1. The operator of vehicle 1 attempted to pull over and exchange information with the other driver. The operator of vehicle 2 continued driving away and got onto the Mass Pike, during this process the operator of vehicle 1 and the passenger of vehicle 1 were able to get the license plate number of vehicle 2 which was NY REG:T797800C. In an attempt to locate and identify the driver of vehicle 2 I ran NY REG T797800C which comes back registered to a short term rental company called Flexdrive. I called a phone number on their website 8663539399 which is listed as the number to call if you are in an accident with one of their vehicles. I was only able to speak to a service technician, a Tom Louis of ARI Fleet Service 18002272273, who told me the vehicle was out of the Flexdrive North Dighton Mass hub located at 123 Williams Street North Dighton MA 02764.Tom also mentioned the location would most likely not be open again until Monday. He did not have any other information regarding who may be operating the vehicle. I have attempted to find contact information on this North Dighton location which I have had negative results so far. I have also emailed the Flexdrive customer service department. To be followed up on. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, I made contact with the registered owner of MV2, Flexdrive. The representative from Flexdrive stated MV2 is registered to the company but Lyft uses their vehicles for ride sharing. I contacted Lyft and spoke with a party named Jonas from their support team. Jonas stated he would make contact with the operator of MV2 and ask them to contact me to give a statement. Lyft stated they would also conduct their own internal investigation. On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, I spoke with the operator of MV2, Gary Procaccini (S36066201). Procaccini stated he was operating a 2019 Santa Fe (NY Reg: T797800C) as a Lyft driver on the evening of February 22, 2020. Procaccini stated he was traveling on Washington Street (W) towards the Massachusetts Turnpike entrance in West Newton. Procaccini stated he was in the wrong lane and looked in his mirror before attempting to merge into the correct lane. Procaccini stated to the right of his vehicle he observed a vehicle "flying" towards the entrance to the Pike. Procaccini stated he came to stop to allow the vehicle to pass. Procaccini stated the vehicle passed at a high rate of speed and he continued on his way onto the Pike (E). Procaccini stated he had a passenger in the vehicle using Lyft servies and there were no signs that a crash had taken place. Procaccini's information has been added to his report to reflect him being the operator of MV2. I then spoke with Peter Houser who is a Driver Services Representative with Lyft. Houser stated he had just visually inspected the vehicle alleged to have been involved in the crash. Houser stated the vehicle was in "pristine" condition and he observed no damage to the front passenger side quarter panel of MV2. Houser e-mailed me pictures of the vehicle. I observed no damage to MV2. Those pictures were submitted to the IT Bureau.

The registered owner of MV#1 stated she parked her vehicle outside 1149 Washington St. at 0800 hrs, on 2/29/2020. At 1730 hrs, the registered owner exited her place of work and observed damage to the vehicle's driver side bumper and wheel well. The damage is consistent with being struck by a passing vehicle. MV#1 was able to be driven away from the scene. No cameras were observed in the area.

Operator of MV1 stated at approximately 2000 hrs while parked in the Whole Foods parking lot, located at 647 Washington Street, her vehicle was struck on the front passenger side of her vehicle. Operator of MV1 stated she did not see who hit her due to her shopping inside whole foods. MV1 had minor damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

On Friday, March 6, 2020 between approximately 0218 to 0220 hours MV1 was parked at 258 Centre St, Newton. At this time an unknown MV struck MV1 from behind and pushed it approximately 10 feet to the Sunoco Entrance (170 Galen St, Watertown). MV1 sustained heavy rear-end damage and was towed privately by the Sunoco owner with MV1 owner's permission. The Sunoco owners do not have a recording of the crash but has the recording of MV1 being pushed from behind into the camera view. The unknown MV was not seen in the camera recordings. MV1 owner was inside his residence at the time, and no injuries were reported.

MV1 was parked facing westbound on Rumford Ave at approximately 7pm last night. The owner returned this morning and found MV1 had been side swiped along the drivers side door and front fender. No other information is available for MV2. Owner of MV1 will forward any other information after reviewing the surrounding businesses video surveillance

Operator of MV1 was parked in the parking lot at 40 Needham Street from 1200-1330. When she returned to her vehicle, she observed the rear passenger panel was struck and had minor damage. No note was left and there were no witnesses to the accident. Operator of MV1 requested an accident report be generated for insurance purposes.

RP/resident reports hearing a crash while inside his residence and looking outside and observed a silver SUV against the stop sign located at Derby St and Tolman St. RP reports MV in question left the area on Tolman St and then turned right onto Underwood Rd. RP states MV would have damage to drivers side and possibly the drivers side front quarter. A search of the area resulted in negative results. Traffic Officer McSweeney took photos of the damaged stop sign and the DPW was notified.

Operator of MV1 stated while inside the Whole Foods located at 647 Washington Street her MV was hit. Her vehicle was parked in the parking lot and had minor damage to the driver side. Operator of MV1 was able to drive her vehicle after the incident. No information was provided for the 2nd vehicle involved.

Reportedly STB June 25 at 1500hrs and June 26 at 0700hrs, an unknown Toyota MV struck a large wooden fence structure and struck a large back up generator behind that fence and left the scene at the Adelaide of Newton Centre grounds at 157 Herrick Rd. A broken Toyota "Koito" taillight or headlamp case (part #SAE AIPP2 97 DOT 60-64) was found in front of the damaged area. Appears unknown MV was parked in an angle marked space in front of generator and either backed up into it or collided head on into it. Damage appears extensive with possible underground conduit damage connected to the generator power source. Eversource notified. No outdoor video. Adelaide staff will update NPD if they become aware of any MV involved. Canvass of the grounds was negative results.

On Sunday July 5, 2020 at approx. 0940 hours I responded to 225 Harvard Cir.for a report of a past hit/run that occurred in the area of 137 Comm Ave between the Saturday July 4, 20202, 2330 hours - Sunday July 5, 2020 at 0800 hours. Upon arrival I spoke with the RP Alison Leav, she stated she parked her vehicle in the area of 137 Comm Ave around 2000 hours on Saturday July 4, 2020. She stated she observed her vehicle again around 2300 hours with no damage, and this morning at approx. 0800 observed the driver side of her vehicle had been side swiped from the rear bumper to the front fender. She also showed me a broken piece of a vehicle that was involved in the crash. I observed damage on the driver side rear quarter/bumper along the whole driver side to the front fender including the both left side wheels. I looked at the broken piece belonging to the other vehicle. The color appeared to be blue and was consistent with the color on the damaged left side of the vehicle. The broken piece appeared to be a right side mirror with a writing inside the part " RH - 75854 >ABS< CAV 4. I Google the part and may come back to a 1997-2005 Chevy Cavalier. I took pictures of the part that will be downloaded at the I.T. Bureau. No injuries and party was advised of the process.

I responded to 1641 Beacon St. for a report of an MVA/Hit &Run. I arrived on location and spoke with Alicia Ianiere MA OLN#S84312664. Alicia's vehicle was parked when the car was hit by a passing vehicle. Alicia was inside a restaurant picking up food. The vehicle was occupied by her daughter Katherine Cullen 23 Y.O., who was seated in the front passenger seat, at the time of the collision. Katherine stated she had some stiffness in her neck. EMS responded to the scene to evaluate her. There was no airbag deployment. Katherine was cleared by EMS, she was not transported. The vehicle that was hit was MA Reg. 1JXF31; 2018 Toyt/Camry sedan color brown. The vehicle was hit by an unidentified vehicle. RP Alicia Ianiere stated the vehicle struck the rear of her vehicle as it was parked in front of 1641 Beacon St. The vehicle continued Westbound failing to stop. Ianiere's Vehicle sustained damage to the rear driver's side. There were several people seated at an outside area of a nearby restaurant. Those I spoke with heard the crash but did not actually observe the collision. There was one witness identified who stated he observed the collision. witness was identified as Dylan Shuler 24 Y.O.. Mr. Shuler described the other vehicle as a "silver2 door Honda Civic. He stated the plate was either MA Reg. 6EJZ30 or 6ZJZ30. A query of the possible plates came back not matching the vehicle description. The other witnesses also described a silver 2 door Honda. Nobody else observed a plate number. Alicia Ianiere was advised to notify her Ins. company and that I would document the accident as a MVA Hit&Run.

Bradley Miller parked Ma Reg 9YE932 in front of Raviolis on Beacon St. Miller went into the restaurant. When Miller came out he noticed someone backed into the right side of his vehicle. No witnesses. Miller was advised.

Owner of vehicle #1 Stated his vehicle was parked overnight in a legal parking spot in front of 10 Carter St. MV #1 was struck by an unkown vehicle sometime between 1830 hrs the previous evening and 0900 hrs.

The operator of MV1 (MA Reg: 727JG6) stated that she parked her vehicle in the parking lot of Whole Foods at 647 Washington St. When she returned to her unoccupied car at 1315hrs, she noticed new damage to her drivers side rear bumper. There was no note left, no witnesses, and no cameras that cover the area. I canvassed the area with negative results. vehicle sustained minor damage to the drivers side bumper.

I responded to the intersection of Washington St@Quinobequin rd for a report of an MVA Hit &Run. I arrived on location and pulled behind Michigan Reg. DVM1432; 2020 Toyota/Highlander color black (Enterprise Rental ). The vehicle operator was identified as Katz, Melvin. Mr Katz stated he was making a U-turn from the Westbound side of Washington St. He was struck from behind by another vehicle which kept going. The only description he could provide of the other vehicle was a red sedan, nothing additional. The vehicle Mr. Katz was operating sustained rear drivers side damage. The rear tire appeared to have a broken axle. The vehicle required towing and was picked up by Tody's towing. Mr Katz was not injured as a result of the collision.

The owner of MV#1 stated she came out of work at NWH at 0730hrs and noticed the passenger front of her vehicle was damaged. She stated that she parked her vehicle in the that space at 2330hrs the night before. I observed significant damage to the passenger front of the vehicle. It should be noted that I did not observe and parts on the ground or any debris indicating that the accident occurred in that location. The headlight was totally shattered out and there were missing parts from vehicle. There was also a fluid trail that appeared to be leaking from the front passenger side. This trail indicated that the vehicle was driven and backed in to the parking space after the collision took place. Based on my training and experience I do not believe that vehicle was struck in that location as a hit and run. There were no cameras in the area. The owner requested her own tow for the vehicle. I submitted a photo of the claimed hit and run scene to the IT bureau and it was attached to this accident report.

The owner of MV1 (MA Reg: 7ZS276) stated that she parked her vehicle on Court St at 0900 and when she returned at 1400hrs she noticed fresh damage. I observed minor damage to the drivers side front door and fender. There were no witnesses to the hit and run. I canvassed the area with negative results. Court St is a one way going east. MV1 was parked legally on the side of the road.

ON 12-7-20 AT APPROX. 1234HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE HIT AND RUN. UPON ARRIVAL AT 120 WARWICK RD. I SPOKE TO THE COMPLAINANT ( MARCELO CHAVES, DOB: 4-13-72 ). HE STATED THAT SOMETIME DURING THE NIGHT SOMEONE DAMAGED HIS WIFES MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF 120 WARWICK RD. COMP. SHOWED ME MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT REAR BUMPER OF HIS VEHICLE. BUMPER WAS SLIGHTLY DISLODGED WITH SCRATCHES. BY VIEWING THE DAMAGE I WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHICH DIRECTION THE OFFENDING VEHICLE WENT WHEN THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED. COMP. REPORTS NO INJURY. WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT HIS INSURANCE COMPANY. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

MV1 was parked in front of Silver Lake Laundromat in the parking lot at 230 Adams St. facing Eastbound. Owner of MV1 stated she was inside folding laundry between 2:30AM and 3AM. Stated that she discovered that her driver side head light was damage and had fallen off her vehicle around 3:30AM when clearing snow off her vehicle. Owner of MV1 stated that she believes that the driver of an unknown white truck that was plowing the parking lot had backed into her vehicle stricking the driver side headlight of her vehicle. I asked the owner if she saw the incident occur which she stated "no." I also if she had the plate or had any other description of the truck, which she replied "no." Photographs of the damage and the scene were taken and forward to the IT Bureau to be attached to this report. Owner of MV1 stated that she spoke to the operator of the white truck, and described him as a tall, older white male who was wearing a black hat and had dark mustache. This person was not on scene when I arrived and the owner of MV1 stated the operator of the unknown white truck stated that he had not hit her vehicle. Due to snow from an on going snow storm, I did not witness any vehicle tracks by her vehicle. There were also no security cameras in the parking that would of recorded the incident. Owner of MV1 was given a crash report # in regards to the incident.

Owner of MV1 stated he was cleaning of his MV today after the snow storm. While he went to open his driver side door he heard his door pop. At this time, he cleaned off the vehicle and observed significant damage along the left side of the vehicle. It should be noted, there was a snow storm days prior and plows and sanders were clearing the streets. MV1 was parked in the street and the damage is consistent with a plow hitting his car. It is unknown who struck the vehicle and when the vehicle was hit. Owner wanted a report for insurance purposes.

The operator of MV1(RI GW647) stated he had been involved in an accident in the area of 2370 Commonwealth avenue sometime around 6pm.According to the operator he was struck by a "boxy Jeep' which caused heavy damage to the front end of his vehicle, and caused the hood to unlatch and crack the windshield. MV1 was inoperable as a result. The operator was unable to provide any further identifying information on the other vehicle. The operator requested a private tow, and was uninjured. He was provided this report number.

On January 8, 2021 at approximately 16:28 hours I, Officer Guarino, responded to the parking lot of 141 Needham St for a report of a MVA hit and run. Upon arraival, I spoke with the operator of MV1, who showed me a dent on the front driver's side of her vehicle. There was minor scratches and no visible paint transfer around the dent. The vehicle was parked in a handicapped parking spot adjacent to a cross walk. The operator of MV1 said that she had washed the vehicle last week and had just noticed the dent when she exited the store and that she would have noticed the damage when she entered. There were no visible cameras in the area that would have footage of the incident.

Andrew Haytayan states that he parked his vehicle Ma Reg 40HM01 in front of 410 Langley Rd at approx 1730 hrs on 1/9/2021/ Andrew then went into the address to visit his friend Tiffany Mallakis. Andrew exited the residence at approx 1900 hrs and noticed someone had struck the right side of his vehicle. At this point no witnesses. Tiffany emailed the property management company to see if there is any video surveillance of the area. Tiffany was advised to update NPD when the management company gets back to her.

On Monday, 1/25/21, RYAN, Tim came to NPD headquarters to report a past hit and run. He stated his white 2015 Nissan work van, RI commercial reg 62477 (MV1), was struck by an unknown vehicle (MV2), while parked in the parking lot of 33 Boylston St. This occurred today at approximately 1330-1400 hrs, and the MV1 sustained a minor scratch and dent to the rear driver's side. RYAN stated there had been a white van next to him at the time he parked but was unable to provide any further information.

ON 1-27-21 AT APPROX. 1229HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 239 WASHINGTON ST. ( ST. JEANS HOUSING ).I SPOKE TO THE OWNER OF VEHICLE #1 ( MARIO SALVUCCI ). OWNER STATES SOMETIME BETWEEN 0800 AND 1229HRS. SOMEONE HIT THE REAR RIGHT QTR. PANEL OF HIS MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS PARKED IN THE ST JEANS PARKING LOT. THERE WERE SCRAPES TO THE VEHICLES RIGHT REAR QTR. PANEL CONSISTENT WITH A VEHICLE THAT WAS BACKING OUT OF THE NEIGHBORING STALL. THERE WAS NO OTHER VEHICLE IN THE STALL AT THE TIME OF THIS REPORT. OWNER STATES HE BELIEVES HE KNOWS WHO WAS PARKED THERE AND IS GOING TO QUESTION HIM LATER THIS EVENING. OWNER REPORTS NO INJURIES AND WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT HIS INSURANCE COMPANY. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

I responded to the area of Varick Rd@Quinobequin Rd. on 02/09/2021 at approx. 1106 hrs for a report of a past MVA/HR. I arrived in the area and was flagged down by vehicle owner De-Souza, Fernanda MA OLN#S64319275. She was with her vehicle MA Reg. 7115ZS; 2016 Niss/Murano color Red. The vehicle was parked on Varick Rd. directly in front of #164 Varick Rd. The vehicle had visible damage all along the drivers side which was facing the street. The vehicle appeared to have been sideswiped (probably by a plow truck). According to De-Souza the vehicle was parked unoccupied since approximately 0900 hrs to present. The MVA was unwitnessed and as of the time of this report no witnesses have been identified. The vehicle sustained body damage along the full length of the drivers side. The vehicle did not require towing service. De-Sousza has been advised to contact her insurance co. and a MVA report would be documented.

The operator of MV1 stated she was parked in front of 647 Washington St when the vehicle behind her, pulled out on to Washington Street and struck the driver side rear bumper. The 2nd vehicle involved, continued, Westbound on Washington Street. The operator of MV1 described the other vehicle involved as a dark colored sedan, operated by a male party. Multiple units checked the area, yielding negative results. MV1 sustained minor scratch to the rear driver side bumper.

ON 2-18-21 AT APPROX. 0902HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE HIT AND RUN. UPON ARRIVAL AT 107 ADENA RD. I SPOKE TO THE OWNER OF VEHICLE #1. OWNER STATES SHE HEARD A LOUD BANG WHILE INSIDE OF HER HOUSE. WHEN SHE CAME OUTSIDE SHE NOTICED HER LEFT REAR VIEW MIRROR HAD BEEN PUSHED BACK AND THE REAR CASING HAD COME OFF HER MOTOR VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED OUT FRONT. OWNER HAD PICKED UP THE REAR CASING OFF THE GROUND. OWNER ADVISED TO CONTACT HER INSURANCE COMPANY. VEHICLE #2 WAS NOT OBSERVED. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

Vehicle 1 was travelling eastbound on Avalon Rd. Vehicle 1 travelled through the intersection of Avalon Rd and Upland Rd. Vehicle 1 crashed into the front lawn of 41 Avalon Rd. The operator was not on scene when I arrived. I went to the registered owner's house at 115 Upland Rd to investigate the accident, with negative results. The vehicle crashed during a snowstorm, and the party went back to his house for the evening. I observed moderate damage to the front of vehicle 1. The bushes on the homeowners front lawn were damaged. Todys towed the vehicle to their lot.

On Tuesday February 23, 2021 at approx 0800 hours I responded to 67 Green Street for a report of a past hit/run. Owner of V1 stated vehicle was parked opposite 67 Green Street at approx. 1530 hours on Monday February 22, 2021. When owner came out this morning she noticed the damage to her driver side. It should be noted another vehicle was struck on drivers side at 58 Green Street. I canvassed the area for any video, video door bells I found in area are only limited to their porch. This hit/run possibly happened on February 22, 2021 between 1730 hours through 1900 hours.

On Tuesday February 23, 2021 at approx 0800 hours I responded to 58 Green Street for a report of a past hit/run. Owner of V1 stated vehicle was parked at 58 Green Street at approx. 1730 hours on Monday February 22, 2021. When owner came out this morning she noticed the damage to her driver side. She stated a neighbor observed the damage at approx. 1900 last night. It should be noted another vehicle was struck on drivers side at 67 Green Street. I canvassed the area for any video, video door bells I found in area are only limited to their porch. This hit/run possibly happened on February 22, 2021 between 1730 hours through 1900 hours.

-Mv#2 was parked in the rear parking lot of 2 Wells Ave when it was struck my an unknown MV. -Ow Mv#2 reported approximately 0915 she discovered the right side bumper of MV#2 had been struck and heavily damaged. OwMv#2 stated she parked Mv#2 in the first stall by the right side loading dock facing the building approximately 0350. She stated Newton Fire Department responded to the area (CAD 21012488) and they were the only vehicle to come in or out of the parking lot this morning. - I conducted and inspection of MV#2 in the Cherry Street Parking lot since Mv#2 was still serviceable. I observed damage to the rear left side bumper, a cut in the bumper plastic revealing the metal bumper frame underneath it and black friction mark on the surface of the bumper. -There were no injuries or other property damage reported at the time of this interview. This report will be forwarded to the Traffic Bureau for investigation. Traffic Bureau Update (Officer Gaudet): On Monday, March 22, 2021, I contacted Ms. Linda Nieman (Director of MGPO Dermatopathology Associates) inquiring about surveillance cameras on the property located at 2 Wells Avenue, Newton. Ms. Nieman stated she was unaware if the property had cameras but has sent and request to the building managers. I contacted the building manager Ms. Madison Hebb. Ms. Hebb stated she is not sure if the area of the building where the alleged crash took place has cameras, but she is looking into it and will contact me when she finds out. I contacted the Newton Fire Department to try and speak with Lt. Foli who was the incident commander for the call at 2 Wells Avenue (CAD 21012488). Lt. Foli is not back to duty until this Friday. I will attempt to make contact with him during his tour of duty at Station 10 at this time. If it is determined that a Newton Fire vehicle made contact with MV1, I will update this crash report. I spoke with Ms. Danielle Subramaniam, the owner of the damaged vehicle (MV1). Ms. Subramaniam stated she did not observe a Newton Fire vehicle hit her vehicle while they responded to 2 Wells Avenue the morning her vehicle was damage. Ms. Subramaniam stated she believes the only vehicles that were in the parking lot near her vehicle during her shift were Newton Fire vehicles. Ms. Subramaniam stated when she left work after her shift that morning, she observed new damage to her vehicle. On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Miss Hebb updated me that the side of the property where the alleged incident took place does not have any surveillance cameras present. At this time, I am unable to conclude that a Newton Fire Department vehicle caused the damage to Ms. Subramaniam's vehicle.

-Mv#2 was parked in a stall at the Wegman's Supermarket parking lot when it was struck by MV#1. -OpMv#2 came to the Newton Police station to report that she parked Mv#2 in the Florence Street side ( south/lower) parking lot stall and when into the store approximately 1050. Upon returning she stated she observed damage to the rear left side panel. -I conducted an inspection of the vehicle and observed minor damage to the vehicles left rear panel.The damage consists of scuffs and paint chips on the surface of the vehicle with no visible structural damage to the panel. I observed surveillance cameras outside the Wegman's super market which may have capture the collision. -There were no injuries or other property damage reported at the time of this collision being reported and no vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 4/17/21 at 0905hrs I was dispatched to 1178 Walnut St for a report of a past hit & run MVA. On arrival, I met Ms Debra Kim who had just pulled over at that address after noticing a city parking meter (zone#2461 ) was run over which was pushed onto a city tree (minor tree damage) and then the front of the building including a front door support post was struck by an unknown MV. Building damage appears minor. Building is vacant, no tenants. Ms Kim stated her father Dae Kim is the owner of the building. Crash debris left behind (no plates found) indicated the unknown MV drove off Walnut St N/B, crashed into the meters, over the sidewalk and into the building. Photos of the area were taken and will be submitted to the IT bureau. City notified. Prior to completing this report, Ms Kim called NPD to report the neighbor from 1176 Walnut has video surveillance from the crash. Ms Kim stated according to the video time, the crash occurred yesterday 4/16 at 0715hrs. She described watching on the video a black sedan possibly a Buick crash into the building back up and continue on Walnut St N/B. She stated no plates, operators or passengers could be seen on the video. Ms Kim will email me the video.

Motor vehicle 1 (MV1) was backing up on Union Street (westbound) when it crashed into motor vehicle 2 (MV2), which was parked facing eastbound across from 97 Union Street. MV1 then left the area heading southbound on Herrick Rd. As a result of the crash MV2 sustained significant front end and drivers side damage. MV2 likely sustained minor to moderate rear passengers side damage.

Operator of MV1 states she parked her vehicle in the parking spot on Lincoln Street in front of Indulge and when she returned to her vehicle she noticed she was a victim to a hit and run. MV1 sustained damage to the front left corner panel. A witness saw MV2 back into MV1 then fled the scene. More information in the witness narrative. MV2 is registered to Yiannis Distributing Co out of Palmer, MA. I spoke with the owner of the company Ioannis Mirisis, who states he contacted his secretary who states James Lussier was the operator of MV2. Operator of MV2 states he was attempting to parallel park the van when he thought he hit a pole and left the area when he couldn't fit the van in the parking spot. MV2 should have damage to the right rear bumper or corner panel.

MV1 owner states they were alerted by the bouncer at 107R Union St that their vehicle had been hit. Bouncer, Steven Raveri, states he witnessed a BMW back into MV1 in the alley behind Thistle and Leek and then leave the scene. Another worker from Thistle and Leek, Christian McNeill, states he witnessed a BMW back into the Subaru more than once attempting to turn around before leaving the alley. I observed paint damage on the rear end of the Subaru. Steven was able to take a picture of the BMWs plate (NY: MD60330) before it left. I was able to find the vehicles information and two phone numbers for the registered owner. I will be contacting them on my next tour of duty. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On Thursday, May 27, 2021, I was able to make contact with the registered owner of MV2. Mr. Stephen Gorfine (NY: 392 858 797) stated he was operating his 2007 BMW 750 (NY: 60330) at the time and location of the crash. Mr. Gorfine stated he was not aware he was involved in a crash. I explained to Mr. Gorfine that two witnesses observed his vehicle crash into MV1 as it was parked unoccupied. Mr. Gorfine stated he has hit many cars in the past and has been hit himself. Mr. Gorfine did not appear to understand the brevity of causing damage to MV1 and not stopping to attempt to provide his information to the owner. Mr. Gorfine was advised and mailled Massachusetts Uniform Citaton 019187AB for Newton City Ordinance Chapter 19, Section 75 (Failure To Use Care).

ON 5/25/21 APPROXIMATELY 1340 I SPOKE TO KENNETH DAHLBECK WHO STATED HE WITNESSED A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT. MR. DAHLBECK STATED MV#1 WAS PARKED ON THE STREET AT 272 CENTRE ST UNOCCUPIED AND WAS STRUCK BY MV#2 WHO WAS TURNING RIGHT OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. MR. DAHLBECK STATED THAT MV#2 LEFT THE SCENE. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE D/S REAR OF MV#1. I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE OWNERS OF BOTH VEHICLES WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS.

On 5/25/21, Newton Police responded to the rear parking lot of 1650 Washington St. for a past motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the vehicle owner of MV#1 stated she parked her vehicle, facing northbound in the rear parking lot at 0900 hrs. When she returned to her vehicle at 1800 hrs, there was a large scratch and scuff marks on the driver side front and rear door. Newton Police observed this damage and agree it is constant with either a sideswipe or collision with the front or rear bumper of another motor vehicle. The vehicle was not towed and was able to be driven from the scene. No surveillance cameras were observed in the immediate area.

MV1 was parked West bound in front of 143 Pearl St.at 7:30PM. The owner stated he came outside of his fathers house at 140 Pearl St. around 11PM and noticed his vehicle had be side swiped. The owner stated he did not hear or see anything. The vehicle that struck MV1 is an unknown make and model, but believed to be black in color due to the paint transference on MV1. It should be noted that MV1 sustained damage, but is still operable.

On July 9, 2021 at approx. 2110 hours, I responded to 158 California St for a report of a past motor vehicle hit and run. Upon arrival, I spoke with the RP and vehicle owners daughter, Kerlyne Watkins(857-247-3467 ). Kerlyne stated she came out from her work to place an item in the trunk of the vehicle when she discovered the damaged to the rear left of the vehicle. The bumper had been pushed in and the taillight had subsequently broke off. I observed this damaged and damage to the roof rack in the same area. Kerlyne stated the vehicle had been parked outside of 158 California St since she got to work today which was hours ago. No tow was necessary, no injuries reported on scene. No note or witnesses to the crash.

Operator of MV1 states she parked her vehicle for approximately 10 minutes on Beacon Street while she attended the farmers market and when she returned she noticed the drivers side mirror was damaged. No witnesses to the accident and no information left on MV2.

Owner of MV1 states she parked her vehicle unoccupied in front of 68 Green Street and at some point during the day MV2 struck MV1 and fled the scene. No information on MV2. MV1 sustained damage to the back left corner panel.

On August 27th 2021, Miriam Nkuba DOB 6/30/56 came to Newton Police Headquarters to report a past hit and run. Nkuba states that around 1500 hrs today, she was shopping in Star Market at 1 Boyston St. When she exited the store and returned to her vehicle in the lot (MA reg 7CNJ50), there were security workers cleaning debris from around her car. Immediately apparent was damage to the rear left tail light/bumper area. The security workers then directed Nkuba to witness Kate Sweeney, who was able to provide a picture of MA reg 4AX435, a black Chevrolet Suburban. Sweeney told Nkuba that the Suburban had hit her car and left the scene. I called Sweeney and spoke with her directly. She relayed that she was in a nearby store and heard a loud crash. Her attention was directed outside to a black Suburban slowly driving with obvious front passenger side damage. The vehicle then stopped in a parking space, and a heavy set woman exited from the driver's seat to inspect the damage on the front right side. The woman then got back into the vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction. 4AX435 comes back active on a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban color black to Maria Dasilva Alves out of West Roxbury. I requested Boston PD E-5 try and raise Alves and have her contact me. It should be noted that Alves has an expired/non renewable license and appears from her license photo to be heavy set. Charges pending. *Update, 8/28/21- Boston PD had negative results locating Alves or the vehicle. Based on corroborating statements by the witness, MA uniform citation T1446618 will be mailed to Alves for 90/24 Leaving the Scene of Property Damage and 90/10 Unlicensed Operation.

Mv#1 (work truck) was parked unoccupied along the curb facing E/B in front of 1248 Beacon St. Truck was parked at this location for construction work being performed on above property. Workers on site heard a crash but were unable to observe Mv#2 (unknown) that was travelling on Beacon St E/B passing by and sideswiped #1. Crash debris left behind ripped off from #2 after sideswiping #1 was found on the street, a black passenger side mirror with "Honda" embossed inside the mirror. Also found inside the mirror was a sticker with possible QR code with the following characters: 15-10-17-043227 L13 4130 47088RC #1 sustained significant damage to the driver's side rear utility box compartment door. Video obtained from 1248 Beacon was negative results.

Vehicle 1 was parked on the Ashford Rd side of Temple Emmanuel (#385 Ward St). Workers for the temple saw a white suv (possibly a BMW) travel northbound on Ashford strike the drivers side of vehicle 1. The SUV stopped for a second and then took off. Workers were unable to obtain a license plate #. I spoke to a staff member of the temple (Mike #774-670-8285) who stated they have cameras on that side of the building but is unsure if they are clear enough to make out a plate or make/model of the vehicle. If he is able to obtain any information he stated he will forward it to police. Later in the shift I was contacted by the owner of the vehicle that was hit, Jonathan Michanie. He stated he was contacted by the temple by email with footage of a white SUV dropping of a teacher by the name of Alix Herer of 62 Sevland Rd in Newton. They spoke to Herer who stated she was dropped at work by a lift driver and was able to pull up the vehicle info on her app. The app said she was dropped off by a white Hyuandai Santa Fe wtih a NY reg of 3NWD81. Michanie stated he already contacted his insurance and they stated the plate came back to a party named Michael. I attempted to run the plate through dispatch and it came back with no results. I will forward the email to IT to attactch to this report with video of Herer being dropped off in the same time frame of the accident.

Mv#1 was parked unoccupied opposite #8 Burrage Rd (N/B). #1 was sideswiped by an unknown Mv that left white paint transfer damage on #1's driver's side front end side and also struck the driver's side mirror all causing moderate damage. I spoke to the resident at 8 Burrage Rd. The resident stated a visitor in his house, Jonathan Kaplan, witnessed the accident. The resident stated Kaplan told him he observed a white sedan bearing MA Reg CIAF31 (Mv#2) attempting to parallel park between #1 and another Mv. During the attempt, #2 was observed sideswiping #1. Kaplan further stated a male operator got out of #2, left a note on #1 and drove away. Mv#1 owner/operator Ms Joan Beer stated no note was ever found. Later from HQ, I called the witness phone number provided (617-455-2557) by the resident of 8 Burrage Rd. I called that number, received VM and left a message. A query of #2 registration comes back on a '18 white Lexus G350 to a Mr Barry Benjamin of 79 Florence St #510S Newton. I received information Mr Benjamin's phone number was 339-223-0079. This number when called was not Mr Benjamin's. Later from HQ, I spoke to Ms Beer and provided her with the witness plate number observed as the paint color is a match to the damage sustained on her Mv. She was advised insurance company will investigate further based on current information received. Later, the witness Mr Kaplan returned my phone call and provided the following statement: Kaplan stated he was in his driveway outside directly across the street from where the accident was taking place. Kaplan stated the accident was very obvious as damage was unfolding while Mr Benjamin was attempting to squeeze between Mv#1 and another vehicle. Kaplan stated after realizing he (Mr Benjamin) could not fit he started to drive away. Kaplan stated it drew the attention of another witness (unknown) standing on the street when both walked up to Mr Benjamin's vehicle and asked him if he was going to leave a note for the damaged vehicles. Benjamin refused. Kaplan described Benjamin's overall demeanor as "rude." Kaplan stated he told Benjamin he has cameras capturing the incident. Not until then, Benjamin got out of his car and left a note on only the other vehicle reported to be minor license plate damage. Kaplan stated Benjamin never left a note on Mv#1, the vehicle with obvious moderate damage. Kaplan stated he actually viewed the note left on the other vehicle and said it was illegible. Kaplan told Benjamin this and Benjamin yelled to him "mind your own business" and drove away. Kaplan stated his ring doorbell camera was not positioned to capture any of the incident. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On September 8, 2021 I was able to make contact with the operator of MV2, Mr. Barry Benjamin (S42076881). Mr. Benjamin stated he was operating his 2018 Lexus G350 (MA: CIAF31) at the time of the crash. Mr. Benjamin stated he was backing his vehicle into a parking spot and the space ended up being too small. Mr. Benjamin stated the rear of his vehicle crashed into the front bumper area of MV1, knocking off it's license plate. Mr. Benjamin stated he got out of his vehicle and put the plate back on MV1. Mr. Benjamin stated he left a note in the vehicle with his contact information and left the area. I asked Mr. Benjamin if he was aware of making contact with another vehicle in the area. Mr. Benjamin stated he did not make contact with any other vehicle. Mr. Benjamin stated there was no damage to his vehicle and stated he would e-mail me pictures of his vehicle and pictures of MV1 that he took on scene. Those pictures were forwarded to the IT Bureau to be added to this report. Mr. Benjamin also stated in his e-mail, "My wife informed me that the homeowner who contacted the police called my wifes attention to a car up the street. The car was on the opposite side near a dirt road that had been side swiped earlier. My wife said, "That has nothing to do with us" and the homeowner agreed that that situation did not involve our car." At this time, no charges will be filed against Mr. Benjamin for leaving the scene of property damage.

On 9/7/21, Brooke Movitz DOB 5/6/99 came to NPD Headquarters to report a hit & run of MA reg 646NM7. Movitz states she was parked in the Newton Centre Lot in a row of parking stalls near Walgreens on the Langley Rd side. Around 1315 hrs, Movitz noticed damage to the left rear side of her vehicle. She stated that the vehicle parked next to her, MA reg 298MS7, had damage to the front left side and was parked at an angle that may suggest an improper turn into the parking spot (see diagram). Movitz was able to show me two pictures of minor damage to both vehicles, however I am not able to confirm that the damage is related to each other via the photographs. A white male with spiky hair in his 40's drove off in the vehicle, according to Movitz, but there was no interaction between the two. I was able to make contact with the owner of the vehicle in question, who told me that his son Daniel Suleski III DOB 4/10/92 was operating his car today. Suleski was able to be reached by phone and was adament that he did not hit another vehicle. Suleski did state he was parked in the Newton Centre Lot around the time in question. Officer Marini checked the area for any cameras that may record the area with negative results. Based on the totality of the facts presented, I am unable to reach a definitive conclusion at this time. Movitz was advised to contact her insurance company for further assistance.

On 9/12/21 at approximately 1900 hours, I responded to Laurel ave for a report of a hit and run. MV1 was parked facing westbound on Laurel Ave and was struck by MV2 on the rear drivers side. The MV2 was seen fleeing the scene and driving northbound on Tolhman St towards Waltham. Witness stated she had watched the operator of MV2 drive into MV1 and then reverse and then at a high rate of speed drive down Tolhman St. MV1 had damage to the driver side rear bumper, no tow needed.

The operator of MV1 stated at approximately 1450 hrs she parked her vehicle facing westbound on Derby Street. When she came outside from picking up a family member at school her vehicle was struck on the driver side. The mirror was damage and the rear driver side was also damaged. Witnesses stated they heard a bang but did not get a plate number. Witnesses stated the vehicle was a blue sedan. The operator of MV1 was not injured.

On 9/20/21, Nipa Goud DOB 4/19/77 came to NPD Headquarters to report a past hit & run of MA reg 5RR913 ( vehicle #1). Goud states she was shopping in Johnson String 1029 Chestnut St on 9/15 around 1300 hrs when a good samaritan came into the store. He stated that the above mentioned vehicle had been hit in the parking lot. The witness is Allyn McCourt (617) 875-3457. He provided Goud with a description of an older female driving MA reg 2EE316. It was reported that she made contact with the rear of vehicle #1 and immediately left the scene. I spoke to Mccourt on the phone, who informed me that the woman was a white female between 60-70 yrs old. She appeared to be making a 3-point turn in the lot, hit a bush, then the rear bumper of vehicle #1. I asked Mccourt if there was any indication that the woman knew she hit vehicle #1, to which he stated "it certainly seemed so, because she motioned for me to move out of her way after she hit it". The vehicle was described by Mccourt as a blue sedan. MA reg 2EE316 comes back active on a 2011 blue Toyota Camry to Sergey Klepikov out of 1156 Chestnut St in Newton. QED shows a Vera Klepikov residing at that same address with a DOB of 12/22/52. I have left a message with the number on file for the Klepikov residence for Vera to contact me. Damage to vehicle #1 appears to be minor-moderate scraping from the picture I was shown by Goud. To be further investigated.

ON 10-1-21 AT APPROX. 1133HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 222 AUSTIN ST. I NOTICED A RED FIRE HYDRANT ACROSS THE STREET WAS DISLODGED ROM ITS BASE AND LAYING SIDEWAYS ON THE GROUND. I SPOKE TO A WITNESS WHO LIVES ACROSS THE STREET AT 222 AUSTIN ST. ( DALLAS PERKINS ). WITNESS STATES HE HAD HEARD THE CRASH AND SAW FROM HIS WINDOW A LARGE BOX TRUCK WITH A TRAILER ATTACHMENT THAT CONTAINED SEVERAL LANDSCAPING EQUIPMENT PIECES DRIVE AWAY FROM THE SCENE. WHEN HE NOTICED THE FIRE HYDRANT WAS KNOCKED OVER HE CALLED THE POLICE. WITNESS STATES FROM HIS VANTAGE POINT HE WAS UNABLE TO GET A PLATE OR OTHER IDENTIFIABLE MARKINGS. NEWTON PUBLIC WORKS WAS NOTIFIED TO REPLACE THE HYDRANT. N525 ( OFF GAUDET ) ARRIVED AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE SCENE AND THE DAMAGE. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

I responded to the area of 344 Walnut St. for a report of a mailbox that was knocked over. The anonymous RP informed dispatch that a UPS Truck (unconfirmed) knocked over the mailbox. The driver got out and stood the mailbox up. The mailbox was not damaged but needs to be resecured to the sidewalk. The Postal Police have been notified.

Vehicle 1 was parked in the lot at Extra Space storage at 137 Rumford Ave, at 1300 hours. Between 1430 and 1730, vehicle 2 struck the right side of vehicle 1. Extra Space storage stated that they have the incident on surveillance footage, but refused to share it, without a police report. The owner of vehicle 1 has already filled out their own accident report, and submitted it to their insurance company. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): On Friday, October 22, 2021, I met with Mr. Brian Pendleton from Extra Space Storage. Mr. Pendleton was able to provide me with surveillance footage from the crash. A white passenger van facing (W) in the parking lot is observed backing out of a parking space. The van's rear passenger side bumper area is observed crashing into the rear driver side of MV1. MV1 is parked unoccupied on the opposite side of the parking lot (facing S). MV1 is observed briefly moving side to side as a result of the collision. MV2 is then observed leaving the parking lot area through the main entrance on Rumford Avenue. After reviewing the footage, I am unable to decipher the characters on the license plate of the fleeing vehicle due to the quality of the image. The van is a newer model passenger van with black lettering on the rear driver side area. The operator of the vehicls appears to be a white male with a dark colored baseball cap and a dark colored jacket. The media clip provided by Extra Space Storage was submitted to the IT Bureau to be attached to this report.

Opr. of V1, Juan Chen stated she came out of work and walked to her vehicle. At this time, she noticed a scratch on the left side of the vehicle. Chen stated she thought the vehicle next to her could have hit her vehicle, but did not have proof. The uninvolved vehicle had some damage to the left front. I made contact with the owner and spoke to her. She told me the damage was old from another accident and if she hit the vehicle she would have left a note. Due to the damage being old and the garage not having any cameras, I could not prove who struck V1. V1 sustained minor damage. V1 was not towed and due to no one driving, there were no injuries. Chen requested a report for insurance.

MV#1 was parked, unoccupied, facing eastbound in the area of 1155 Washington St. The operator stated he observed a "light" colored Tesla (unknown registration) which was parked in front of MV#1, back into the vehicle before continuing eastbound onto Washington St. A very small scratch was observed below the passenger side headlight. Incident documented for insurance purposes.

The owner of MV1 stated she went into Stop and Shop at 1350 hrs and when she came back outside to her vehicle at 1408 hrs, her vehicle had been hit on the rear driver side. Her vehicle was parked, facing southbound. There was minor damage to the rear driver side of the bumper. Unknown who had struck her vehicle.

MV1 was parked in front of 39 Commonwealth ave. Operator stated it was parked at approximately 1330hrs with no damage. Operator of MV1 stated that at approximately 1631 hours they noticed damage to the front driver side wheel well fender. MV1 operator stated that a vehicle was parked in front of his vehicle with extensive damage. I witnessed red paint transfer, but not blue paint transfer on the gray vehicle parked in front of MV1.

Vehicle 1 was legally parked along the curb in front of 18 Claflin PL. The owner of Vehicle 1 stated she noticed the front driver side bumper was cracked and caved in on 10-31-21. The damage was not there on 10-30-21 when the vehicle was parked there. It appears due to Claflin Pl. being a dead end, a vehicle attempted a 3 point like turn and backed into Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 was unnoccupied and did not need to be towed. There is no information on the other involved vehicle.
