On 1/2/19 I was working N503 when I responded to Watertown St. at West St. for a report of an MVA hit and run. Upon arrival I met with Jennifer Nave who stated that she had rear ended a white colored SUV style vehicle in front of 414 Watertown St. Nave stated after she struck the vehicle she pulled over to the side of the road and the other vehicle drove away. Nave stated she was uninjured however had minor front end damage. Nave was unable to give any other description besides white SUV style vehicle.

On 01/11/2019, I responded to 1466 Chestnut St for a four vehicle accident. On arrival, I spoke with the operator of MV1 who stated that she was driving westbound on Commonwealth Ave and was unsure what happened but thought the vehicle in front of her came to a sudden stop. MV1 stated she attempted to stop but could not, and collided with the rear of MV2. The operator of MV2 stated that he was stopped on Commonwealth Ave behind MV3 when he was hit from behind by MV1 and pushed into the rear of MV3. The operator of MV3 stated she was stopped behind MV4 when he was rear ended by MV3, and pushed into the rear of MV4. The operator of MV4 stated that she was stopped on Commonwealth Ave due to traffic turning into the driveway of 1466 Commonwealth Ave. MV4 stated that she was stopped, with her left turn signal on for some time before she heard the sounds of a car accident behind her. MV1 sustained heavy front end damage and was towed by Tody's. MV2 sustained rear end and front end damage and was towed by AAA. MV3 sustained rear damage and minor front end damage. MV4 sustained minor scratches to the rear bumper. All parties involved declined medical attention.

I SPOKE WITH THE OPERATOR OF MA DEALER REG 5550 MARISSA DEVLIN WHO STATED SHE HAD STOPPED FOR A PEDESTRIAN IN THE CROSSWALK WHEN SHE WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND. I THAN SPOKE WITH THE OPERATOR OF MA PASSENGER REG 3NM859, THOMAS DORRANCE WHO STATED ' IT APPEARS I'M AT FAULT' DORRANCE STATED HE HAD NOT NOTICED DEVLIN SLOWING AND STOPPING AND RAN INTO THE BACK OF HER. DEVLIN WAS ALSO COMPLAINING OF PAIN FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AND AIRBAG, CATALDO RESPONDED. NFD AND TODYS TOW ARRIVED ON SCENE .NFD USED THE JAWS TO SEPARATE THE TWO VEHICLES TODYS WAS ABLE TO TOW BOTH VEHICLES. DORRANCE SIGNED A PATIENT REFUSAL WITH CATALDO. NFD SPREAD SPEEDY DRY AND CLEARED THE ROADWAY.

On 2/13/2019 at approx 1240hrs while assigned to 497 I responded to the area of 1784 Beacon St for a report of a two car crash without injuries. Upon arrival i observed Ma Reg 9LT451 which had been operated by Frank BOOD angled in the roadway with front passenger side damage and Ma Reg 8AGA10 which had been operated by Harold SILVERSTEIN off the roadway lodged into several broken sections of wood fence on the property of 1784 Beacon St which Newton City Census shows as belonging to Elliot SURKIN. I spoke with BOOD who stated he had turned his right directional on , was slowing and turning into the driveway of 1784 Beacon St where he was working as a contractor when SILVERSTEIN came up on his right struck his front passenger side than drove into the fence. SILVERSTEIN stated he did not notice BOOD slow or his directional and tried to stop and turn but struck BOOD than the fence. Todys responded and towed SILVERSTEINS vehicle.

The operator of MV1 was traveling Eastbound on Beacon St. when she stopped at a crosswalk for a pedestrian to cross and was struck in the rear by MV2. The operator of MV2 was traveling Eastbound on Beacon St. when MV1 came to a stop and she struck MV1 in the rear. She stated she didn't have enough time to react but pressed her brakes down all the way until they locked up and she ultimately struck the vehicle. All parties reported no injuries. MV1 sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene safely. MV2 sustained moderate/heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene by Tody's.

All operators state MV3 was stopped in traffic, with MV2 stopped in traffic behind it. Both vehicles were heading southbound on Centre St. MV1 failed to stop behind MV2, colliding with the rear of MV2. MV2 was sent forward from the impact and collided with MV3. No injuries were reported on scene and no tows were needed. On my arrival all parties had exchanged information. After further investigation it was determined the operator of MV2 was driving with a suspended license. I spoke to her via phone and she stated she thought it was cleared up. I advised her that I would be mailing a citation to her (Citation #T1441680) for operating after a suspended license. She was driven away from the scene by a neighbor (Michael Manna, S20209078).

Operator of MV#1 stated she was travelling east in the area of 1507 Washington St in the southbound lane. She began to slow down in traffic when she was rear ended by MV#2. MV#1 suffered minor damage to the back and was able to be driven from the scene. Operator of MV#2 stated she was also in the southbound lane and traffic was travelling at a normal speed when she turned to look left to switch lanes. She stated at that moment "traffic began to slow down into gridlock" and she could not stop in time. She rear ended the back of MV#1. On Wednesday April 10th, 2019 at approximately 0755 hours I responded to the area of Centre Street and Washington Street for two car motor vehicle accident involving a Newton school bus with children on board. Centre Street and Washington Street are both public ways in the City of Newton. At the time of the accident the weather was cloudy with light rain. The road conditions were fairly dry. I spoke to the operator of MV1 identified as Julie Lym (S16060051) who stated she was traveling northbound on Washington Street onto the Centre Street bridge. MV1 stated she was attempting to cut across lanes to merge on to the Mass Pike Westbound. MV1 stated traffic was at a standstill and she saw an opening to change lanes. MV1 stated MV2 was stopped in front of her and as she attempted to change lanes her vehicle side swiped the rear drivers side corner of the school bus. The operator of MV1 reported no injuries. MV1 sustained minor damage and was able to leave the scene. I spoke with the operator of MV2 identified as Antonio Mendes Goncalves (S54275868) who stated he was stopped at the red light in the right middle lane on the Centre Street bridge. MV2 stated MV1 attempted to change lanes and struck the rear drivers side corner of the school bus. MV2 sustained minor damage and the operator reported no injuries. MV2 is a City of Newton contracted yellow school bus that had six children present on the bus at the time of the accident. The school bus was transporting th e children to Bigelow Middle School. All children present reported no injuries and their parents were notified by the school administration. I escorted the school bus back to the school where the children were all evaluated by the school nurse. 14 photographs were taken and submitted to the IT Bureau.

The Vehicle in question came back to a Mr. Anthony Pellegrini. Mr. Pellegrini was located, and agreed to come back and move his vehicle so that Ms. Perkins could inspect her vehicle. Operator of MV1 states he was stopped in traffic westbound, in the area of 1045 Beacon St. He states suddenly he was struck from behind by MV2. She states she tried to stop her car but it was not responding. She attempted to downshift her car and put it in park, but instead it lunged forward into MV1 multiple times. On 2/14/20 at approximately 1809 hrs I responded to the area of 455 Nahanton St for a report of a MVA with air bag deployment. Upon arrival I spoke with the operator of MV#2 who stated she was not hurt. She further stated that the vehicle in front of her, MV#1, stopped suddenly because a deer ran across the street in front of him while he was driving. The operator of MV#2 stated she tried to brake in time but couldn't avoid collision with MV#1. I then spoke with the operator of MV#1 who stated the same story, he was traveling WB on Nahanton St when a deer ran across the road. He slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting the deer and was then rear-ended by MV#2. There were no injuries on scene, however the medics did respond and the operator of MV#2 signed a patient refusal. MV#2 was towed due to heavy front end damage. the operator was given in hand MA citation T2080487 for C.O violation 19-71; Following too Closely.

Opr of V1 stated he was stopped and attempting to make a left hand turn into a driveway to turn around. Opr of V1 stated he believed he was clear to make the turn. Opr of V1 stated he started to turn and that is when V2 made contact with his vehicle on the left side of the vehicle. V1 was crossing over the double-yellow line to make the turn, but was clear from on coming traffic. V1 was towed privately. Opr of V1 sustained injuries and was transported to Mt Auburn Hospital. Opr of V2 stated he was traveling straight on California. Opr of V2 stated he observed V1 stopped to the right. Opr of V2 stated he thought he was clear to pass him, but was not due to V1 abruptly making the turn. I spoke to a witness who wishes to stay anonymous. Witness stated he was cleaning his car. While cleaning his car, he heard a bang, turned around, and observed the vehicles rolling off to the side. Witness stated he observed V1 and V2 in the middle of the road and not in the lane of traffic. Based on his observations he believes the collusion happened at the yellow lines. Witness stated he heard a car driving fast before the bang. He did not see the collision, but states V2 could have been driving too fast and tried passing on the left.

Operator of vehicle 1 took a right off of Washington St onto Waltham St when a pedestrian crossed the street in front of 525 Waltham St. Vehicle 1 stopped to let the pedestrian proceed and was rear ended by vehicle 2. Neither operator reported any injuries. Neither vehicle required a tow.

On Saturday 2/22/2020 at approximately 2200 hours surveillance of the Boys and Girls Club (675 Watertown St Newton MA) captured this motor vehicle accident on camera. The operator of MV 1 was backing out of a parking spot in the parking lot of 675 Watertown St when he struck the rear end of MV 2. MV 2 was parked in front of the lobby of 675 Watertown St when MV 1 rear ended him. The operator of MV 2 has a copy of the surveilance and requested this report for insurance purposes.

The operator of MV1 states that he was traveling northbound on Winchester Street when he stopped in front of 170 Winchester Street to allow a pedestrian to cross the road. While stopped, MV1 was struck from behind by MV2. The operator of MV2 stated that he saw the MV1 stop for a pedestrian but did not have enough time to stop and subsequently crashed into MV1. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene (MV1 by Todys and MV2 by AAA). Both operators were evaluated by medics due to air bag deployment and signed patient refusals.

On 6/15/2020 at approximately 1540 hours, I responded to 2040 Commonwealth ave for a report of a two car accident. Upon arrival, I spoke with MV 1 who stated that he was reversing his tractor trailer into the shaws loading dock area when he struck MV2 with the backend of his cab. There is minimal damage and no injuries reported. I then spoke MV2 who stated that he was behind MV1 driving westbound on Commonwealth ave. He stopped to let the tractor trailer back into the loading dock. He realized he did not leave the trailer enough room to make the turn and that is when MV1 and MV2 struck. He reports no injuries and minor damage to his vehicle.
