Operator of MV1 (MA reg. 328XVF) states he was driving eastbound on Church Street and stopped at a red light. He realized he was in the left turn only lane and began turning into the right lane to proceed straight through the intersection. Operator of MV1 does not believe there was any contact between the two vehicles. Operator of MV2 (MA taxi reg. TA477C) stated he was in his lane when MV2 turned into him. I did not see any new damage to either vehicle. Operator of MV2 requested to be evaluated by paramedics. Cataldo paramedics responded and transported operator 2 to Saint Elizabeth's Hospital. MV2 was parked in Eaton Mac Kay Funeral Home parking lot and Veterans Taxi was notified. Veterans Taxi was unable to verify weather the damage on MV2 was new or old. They do not have a log of damage to the vehicle.

On 02/07/2019, while assigned to N494, I, Officer Conary, responded to a MVA at Franklin Street and Waverly Ave. I met with the Operator of MV1 who stated that he was driving Northbound on Waverly Ave when MV2 came into his lane from Franklin Street and hitting him on the left side. Operator of MV2 stated that he was stopped at the stop sign at Franklin Street and proceeded to take a left turn onto Waverly Ave. At this time, MV2 thought MV1 had a stop sign and was going to stop. MV2 hit MV1. There is no stop sign on Waverly Ave at Franklin Street. Operators of each vehicle were offered and declined medical attention. Operator of MV2 was a Lyft driver and was driving three others in the vehicle. Two occupants were offered and accepted medical attention. Both were transported to Newton Wellesley hospital. The other occupant (Paige) declined medical attention. She had a air cast on from a previous injury. MV1 could not be driven from scene. It was parked legally and safely on the side of the road. Operator of MV1 will get a tow later on. MV2 was able to be driven from scene. Operator of MV2 continued to drive Paige home. No further incident to report.

Opr of V2 stated he was behind V1 on Centre Street. Opr states both vehicles were waiting to turn right onto Washington Street. Opr states he was looking left waiting for an opening and did not look to see if V1 was moving. At this time, Opr of V2 started to travel forward and made contact with the rear of V1. Opr of V1 was not on scene due being pregnant. Her father Tom Sharpe was on scene and stated his daughter was waiting to turn right and was struck from behind. Sharpe stated his daughter had some pain to her neck and stomach region and his wife took her to the hospital. Both vehicles suffered minor damage and were not towed. Opr of V1 sustained minor injuries and went to the hospital with her mother. I was unable to make contact with Opr of V1, but Opr of V2 stated he knew he was at fault.

On Friday, July 5th 2019, at approximately 23:30pm, I, Officer Brooks, responded to Pearl street at Emerson street, for a 2 car MVA. Upon my arrival the medics were treating the operator of MV1(MA REG 8MD241). The operator was complaining of leg pain. According to the operator of MV1 she was traveling Northbound on Pearl street, and looked out the window at something, at which point she struck MV2(MA REG 1EHV54), which was parked legally on Pearl street at the corner of Emerson. MV1 had heavy front end damage, and MV2 had damage to the rear drivers side wheel well area and rear bumper. MV1 was towed by Tody's and the operator was transported to Newton Wellesley hospital. I left a note on MV2 letting the owner know a report was on file.

Opr of V2 stated he was traveling straight on California. Opr of V2 stated he observed V1 stopped to the right. Opr of V2 stated he thought he was clear to pass him, but was not due to V1 abruptly making the turn. I spoke to a witness who wishes to stay anonymous. Witness stated he was cleaning his car. While cleaning his car, he heard a bang, turned around, and observed the vehicles rolling off to the side. Witness stated he observed V1 and V2 in the middle of the road and not in the lane of traffic. Based on his observations he believes the collusion happened at the yellow lines. Witness stated he heard a car driving fast before the bang. He did not see the collision, but states V2 could have been driving too fast and tried passing on the left.

Operator of Vehicle #1 stated that he was traveling east on Beacon Street. Operator stated that he was making a right turn into the driveway of his parents home (1250 Beacon) when Vehicle #2 tried to pass him on the right. This area of Beacon Street is a one lane road in each direction with an established breakdown lane. Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1 on the passenger side front and middle. Vehicle #1 was then pushed back into the lane of travel on Beacon street. Vehicle #2 left the roadway and came to the rest on the sidewalk. Vehicle #2 also popped the driver side front tire. Operator of Vehicle #2 stated that he was traveling east on Beacon street behind Vehicle #1. Operator stated that Vehicle #1 had a left turn signal on and swung over the double yellow line as if he was turning left onto Warren Rd. Operator stated that he believed Vehicle #1 was making a left and therefore went around the vehicle. I again spoke with Operator #1 who stated that it was not possible for him to be making a left turn as he was well aware where the driveway to his parents house was. Operator #2 complained of bodily injury and was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital by Cataldo Medics. Vehicle #2 was towed from the scene by Todys.

On 8/17/2020 at 1550 hrs, while on patrol, I was flagged down by a passerby stating a man had just fallen off his "Bike" in front of 1680 Washington St. Upon arrival, I observed a motorcycle parked on the side of the road with the operator standing next to it. The motorcycle had several scratches on its side and a cracked plastic window, consistent with a collision. The operator stated as he was traveling eastbound on Washington St. his motorcycle began to "skid" on the road's surface as he changed lanes. This "skid" caused the operator to loose control resulting in a collision with the road's surface. The operator had minor lacerations to the knee and elbow and was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. The Motorcycle was placed in the adjacent parking lot, to be picked up later in the evening. It should be noted the roadway in front of 1680 Washington St. had recently been paved over and was smooth and free of debris or defect. There were yaw marks for approx 100 yards in both lanes. There was no indication from the marks of a lane change.

MV1 struck MV2, the side of 44 Harrington St, and a shed. The owner of MV2 further stated that they observed the owner of MV1 was in the passanger seat of MV1 and identified the operator as "Bob." "Bob" stated he had to get to an appointment and fled the scene. MV2 sustained minor damage and the homeowner was notified of the damage to his residence. (See report #20055388 for more info). I contacted the owner of MV1 who stated he was at the Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston. The owner stated that his home health care aid "Joe" was operating the vehicle and when he returned home he would call with all of "Joe's" information. The owner of the vehicle further stated that he is paralyzed and cannot drive. This report has been forwarded to the Traffic Bureau for further investigation.

Newton Police were advised by a local towing service of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Washington St. and Prospect St. Upon arrival, Officers observed MV#1 to have heavy front end damage with air bag deployment while MV#2 had heavy driver side front and rear door damage, also with air bag deployment. The operator of Mv#1 stated she was traveling northbound on Washington St. through the intersection of Prospect St. with a green light, when Mv#2 traveled westbound on Prospect St. through the intersection. MV#1 collided into the driver side of MV#2. MV#2 stated the traffic light was green he was traveling westbound on Prospect St. through the intersection of Washington St. when he was struck by Mv#1. A witness informed police, he was behind MV #1 (northbound) on Washington St. and observed the traffic light to be green. (see witness statement). The operator of MV#1 refused medical attention, while the operator of MV#2 was transported to the hospital. Both vehicle were towed away from the scene. A witness, whom requested to remain annoymous, stated they were traveling behind north bound behind MV#1 and observed MV#1 and several other vehicles traveling northbound through the intersection. The witness stated that vehicles were traveling southbound through the intersection as well, leading officers to believe MV#1 was traveling lawfully through a green light when the collision occured with MV#2.

The bumper had minor dark transfer of either dark paint or tire . Heather stated she had observed a dark sedan very close to her when she parked but had no other information. Upon arrival, I observed three vehicles in a row off to the shoulder of Winchester St facing Northbound, just prior to the Boylston St (Route 9) Westbound off ramp. I observed rear end damage to vehicle 1, Massachusetts Registration: 727BPK, a 2018 Audi A4. There was front and rear end damage to vehicle 2, Massachusetts Registration: 539JT6, a 2011 BMW X5. Vehicle 3, Massachusetts Registration: 44SG43, a 2002 Subaru Legacy had heavy front end damage. Operator 1, Jennifer Reed, stated she was driving Northbound on Winchester St heading towards Centre St. She stated there was a large "landscaping truck" that was turning to get onto the Route 9 Eastbound ramp and she drove right to attempt to go around the vehicle. Operator 1 states when she went around the truck, she had to abruptly stop because another vehicle came off the Route 9 Westbound off ramp and cut across the intersection. Operator 1 stated as she was stopped, she was rear ended. Operator 2, Lien-Anh Tran lien, stated she was driving Northbound on Winchester St heading towards Centre St when she stopped directly behind vehicle 1. Operator 2 stated she was rear ended by vehicle 3 causing her to then rear end vehicle 1. Operator 3, Jo Sephus, stated she was driving Northbound on Winchester St. She stated she collided into vehicle 2, which then caused vehicle 2 to collide into vehicle 1. Operator 3 stated she did not have enough time to stop. A witness, Allison Leary, stated she saw vehicle 1 turn to go around the landscaping truck, and abruptly stop. She stated vehicle 2 stopped directly behind vehicle 1 and vehicle 3 "barreled" into vehicle 2 who then collided into vehicle 1. Operator 1 was transported to Beth Israel-Needham Hospital by Fallon Medics, and her husband, Jeffrey Reed took possession of her vehicle. Operator 2 and 3 signed patient refusals. Vehicle 2 was still operable and vehicle 3 was towed by Tody's Towing.

On vehicle 2, there was heavy damage to the drivers side door leaving it unable to be opened. Vehicle 2 was towed by Tody's towing. Operator 1 was evaluated by Fallon medics and signed a patient refusal. Operator 2 stated she may have hit her head, and was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital by Fallon.

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at approximately 1652hrs, I Officer Fay responded to 47 Hancock Ave. for a report of a hit and run. Upon arrival I met with the operator and passenger of MV1 who stated they were stopped on Hancock Ave at the intersection of Beacon St., Laurel St. and Hancock Ave. It should be noted that Hancock Ave. and Laurel St. end when connecting to Beacon St. MV1 was proceeding to turn left on to Beacon St. when MV2 ran the stop sign on Laurel St crossing Beacon St. onto Hancock Ave and struck the left front end of MV1. MV2 did not stop and continued to drive North on Hancock Ave. MV1 was able to turn around to try and follow the vehicle, but had to pull over in front of 47 Hancock Ave., due to heavy damage on the driver side front end of the vehicle. The operator of MV1 stated she was having back pain and would like to be evaluated by paramedics. Fallon Paramedics arrived on scene to evaluate the operator of MV1 and proceeded to transport her to Newton Wellesley Hospital for further evaluation. Prior to the operator being transported, the operator and the passenger described the vehicle that struck them as a blue, rusty van. They stated they did not see the plate of the vehicle, but stated the driver side front end of the vehicle would have sustained damage. They also stated that they were unable to get a look at the operator of the other vehicle. Upon clearing, the passenger of MV1 stayed with the vehicle waiting for her father and a personal tow. The operator and passenger were advised that a report would be generated in regards to the incident. After clearing I searched the area yielding negative results of MV2. I also checked the neighborhood for cameras that would of captured the incident, yielding negative results.
