Narrative:
OPMV#1 Was traveling Northbound on Hammond St when he arrived at the intersection of Hammond St and Beacon St. There was vehicle in front of the OPMV#1 and appeared as if they were going Northbound across Beacon St then suddenly took a left turn onto Beacon St. OPMV#1 Attempted to avoid collision and struck the OPMV#2. OPMV#1 Stated he was attempting to move out of the way from the vehicle in front of him and hit the OPMV#2 as they were crossing Beacon St. OPMV#2 Was traveling Northbound on Hammond St when she came to the intersection of Hammond St and Beacon St. OPMV#2 Was attempting to cross Beacon St but was struck by the OPMV#1. OPMV#2 Stated she was crossing Beacon St and noticed the OPMV#1 swerve into her lane to get out of the way of the vehicle in front them. OPMV#2 Stated she had no time to react until it was to late and was struck by the OPMV#1.

Oper of Veh # 1 stated he was going WB on Beacon Street and wasn't able to stop at red light due to the icy roads. He struck Veh # 2 in the middle of the intersection. Oper of Veh 2 stated she had a green light when she was going through intersection and saw veh # 1 go through intersection and hit her. Veh # 1 had a plow equipped was unable to put that in diagram. No Injuries, No Tows

Narrative:
On April 24, 2019, while assigned to N496, I was called by Dispatch to respond to the area Beacon Street and Hammond Street for a motor vehicle crash. This was called in by Boston College Police Department. Upon arrival MV #1 was on Beacon Street just past Hammond Street at the Island with considerable vehicle damage. MV#1 stated while traveling westbound on Beacon St, while approaching the intersection of Hammond he stated he started to feel strange and not like himself. MV#1 stated he then struck the curb with his front right tire, not believing his accident was very serious at this time. He reversed his vehicle off the sidewalk and proceeded to travel westbound on Beacon St. After passing through the intersection he stated his car felt very off at which point he initiated his hazards and pulled over to the right. MV#1 stated he has a history of epilepsy and currently takes Oxcarbazepine twice a day for his condition. He stated he did not believe he had a seizure or lost consciousness but did not recall the incident very well. Boston College Ofc. Cadogan witnessed the incident, and stated the following, while conducting a directed patrol at the intersection of Beacon and Hammond St he saw MV#1 traveling westbound on Beacon St. Ofc. Cadogan stated MV#1 then took a sudden tight turn on to the curb striking the metal fence surrounding the BC facility. MV#1 was then seen / heard revving his engine while still in drive before reversing his vehicle off the curb and attempting to continue on Beacon St westbound. The fence surrounding the BC Facility sustained moderate damage. Tire marks in the grass show the path of MV#1 in direct line to the damaged property. While on scene, I spoke at length with Vanhorne. I did not detect or any alcohol from his breath as he spoke. Vanhorne reported he only consumed one beer tonight at roughly 2030hrs and smoked a little marijuana at 2200hrs. Vanhorne's eyes did not detect any signs of alcohol and he walked with no signs of any impairment. Sgt. Devine administered a horizontal nystagmus test which revealed no signs of impairment. Vanhorne reported he was at a work event and then visited a friend in Brookline. Vanhorne reported his last seizure from epilepsy occurred a little over two years ago. Pictures of the scene were taken and submitted to IT to be attached to this report. MV#1 operator stated he was not injured at this time. MV#1 was towed from the scene by Todys's due to heavy front end damage. Vanhorne was picked up from the scene by Paul Miller his step father. A towed MV form was filled out and placed in the traffic box. Witnesses Cassandra Williams and Bill Peirce observed the crash and stated identical narratives to Ofc. Cadogan's. An Immediate Threat form was filed with the RMV (via Fax and E-mail at approximately 0650hrs 4/24/19)due to his medical history and his explanation with this crash. All streets mentioned are public ways in the City of Newton. It should be noted that the road was wet from rain on this night. Update: on 4/27/19 Sgt.Devine was able to watch the video of the incident from Boston College Police. The video confirmed the statements given by BCPD and witnesses's. Due to the aforementioned statements and the video surveillance of the incident, MV#1 Operator will be cited with Marked Lanes Ch89/4a (MA Uniform Citation #T1441792. Vanhorne will be notified via phone he will be receiving the ticket in the mail.

Vehicle #1 stated they were stopped at the traffic lights on beacon st facing westbound when they were struck in the rear by Vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 stated they were traveling westbound on beacon st and attempted to stop for the red light. Vehicle #2 stated they started to slide due to the snow and was unable to stop and struck Vehicle #1 in the rear. Vehicle #1 had major damage to the rear and was unable to be driven. Vehicle #2 had major damage to the front and was unable to be driven. Both vehicle were towed away by tody's towing. Both operators and passenger were asked if they were injured and all parties stated they were not injured and refused any medical treatment.

MV1 was stopped at the traffic light at the corner of Hammond Street at Beacon Street. MV1 got the green light and proceeded to move forward, but had to stop due to a vehicle in front of MV1 that had slowed down. MV2 saw MV1 begin to move forward but did not see MV1 come to a stop. MV2 struck the rear of MV1 causing little damage to the rear bumper of MV1. The operator of MV1 stated she had some minor neck pains, but when medics arrived on scene the operator of MV1 signed a patient refusal form to seek further medical evaluation.

Vehicle 1 was traveling westbound on Beacon St approaching the intersection of Hammond St when vehicle 2 cut in front of him from the left turn lane and they crashed. Operator of vehicle 2 stated she was traveling westbound on Beacon St approaching Hammond St and was in the left turn lane when she stated she put on her right blinker and cut in front of vehicle 1 which was to her right in the other lane. Narrative:
At approximately 2120HRs on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, I was dispatched to the intersection of Hammond St. and Beacon St., for a reported two car crash. Upon arrival, I observed MV1 to have sustained damage to its front passenger's side fender/head light, hood, grille, bumper and it was leaking fluids. I observed MV2 to have sustained damage to its driver's side fender/door and it was leaking fluids. Upon speaking to the operator of MV1, they stated that they were traveling straight (southbound) on Hammond St. and they had a green traffic signal. While they were in the intersection, MV2 failed to stop for their red traffic signal, as they traveled straight on Beacon St. (eastbound) and as a result, MV1 struck MV2. Upon speaking to the operator of MV2, they stated they were traveling straight on Beacon St. (eastbound). At this time, their windshield fogged and they could not see out of it. They continue to drive straight, while attempting to adjust the HVAC controls to clear up the windshield. They then proceeded into the intersection and were struck by MV1. They stated they did not know the color of their traffic signal, as they were looking down at said controls. Neither party were injured. Newton Fire applied speedy dry to the fluids. Todys removed both vehicles. I cleared without further incident and completed NPD Towed Motor Vehicle Forms for each vehicle.
