Narrative:
The operator of MV#1 stated he was travelling southbound on Centre St when his brakes failed and could not stop in time, striking MV#2 which pushed MV#2 into MV#3. MV#1 sustained minor damage to its front bumper. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#1. The operator of MV#1 did not have his license in his possession. He provided me with his information and an R.M.V query showed that he had a license status of suspended. While on scene I had the operator of MV#1 log on to his R.M.V account, pay off his balance owed and reinstate his driver's license (R.M.V confirmation #0-847-910-848). MV#1 was inspected and the brakes appeared to be in working order. The operator of MV#2 stated she was travelling southbound on Centre St when she was struck from behind by MV#1 which pushed her vehicle into MV#3 in front of her. MV#2 sustained moderate damages to its rear and front bumpers. The operator of MV#2 sustained non-incapacitating injury to her neck and refused medical attention. The operator of MV#3 stated she was travelling southbound on Centre St when she was struck from behind by MV#2. MV#3 sustained minor damage to its rear bumper. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#3. As of 05/12/2022, the license status of the operator of MV#1 is still suspended. I will mail MA uniform citation #T2012917 to the operator of MV#1 for violation of c90 s23 operating after suspended license.

Narrative:
On May 14th, 2022 at approximately 14:29 hours while assigned to N491 I responded to a MV crash near #347 Watertown St. On my arrival I located both involved vehicles on Watertown St near Tommy Doyles. Vehicle #1 was parked in front of #354 Watertown St, a 2021 Gray Chevy Trailblazer, MA reg. 831ZY8. Owner Elizabeth Colon. Ms Colon reported she parked her vehicle across the street from Tommy Doyles, #349 Watertown St when vehicle #2 struck her vehicle. Unidentified witness alerted Ms Colon that they observed vehicle #2 hit her vehicle. Vehicle #2 was a RED 2007 Toyota RAV4, MA plate2HRN56, operated by Ana Cardoso Pereira. She stated she was attempting to park behind vehicle #1 when she accidently hit her accelerator instead of her brake causing her vehicle to go forward into the rear drivers side to vehicle #1. Note Ms Colon translated the above statement due to Ms Pereira only speaking Spanish. There were no tows required and no injuries.

Narrative:
A witness stated she observed MV1 strike MV2 which was parked & unoccupied. The witness further stated that MV1 attempted to flee the area. MV2 sustained damage to the drivers side however did not require a tow. While speaking with MV2, the owner of MV3 which was parked 2 spots up reported damage to his drivers side. MV3 stated he did not witness the incident but knows his vehicle was not like that when he parked moments earlier. The operator of MV1 stated he was parked and on the phone speaking to a client when an "elderly woman ran up to me filming saying I hit someone's car and I don't believe I did". MV1 further stated he did not have any damage to his vehicle. I asked MV1 if he struck a black truck (MV3) to which he stated "no, I didn't hit anyone". I asked MV1 why he did not stick around to which he stated "that lady was filming me and I know I didn't hit anything". A canvass of the area for cameras was conducted yielding negative results. Given the size of MV1, it is possible that the operator was unaware he had struck a vehicle. Photos from the witness were turned over to the IT Bureau

Narrative:
On Friday 5/20/22 at approximately 822 hours while assigned to marked unit n498 I was dispatched to the parking lot of 755 Dedham Street for a report of a Minor motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival I spoke with the operator, HYPPOLITE Guerline, of MV#1 (1MCW18) who states she was traveling eastbound on Nahanton Street and approaching the yield sign to turn onto Dedham Street when she was struck in the rear by MV#2. Operator, FISHER Susan, of MV#2 (R6324), states she was behind MV#1 and thought the vehicle had pulled away from the intersection. FISHER states she looked to her left and saw it was clear to proceed, not realizing MV#1 had not yet cleared the intersection, striking MV#1 in the rear. There was no damage to either motor vehicle, however HYPPOLITE was complaining of head and neck pain. Medic 4 arrived on scene and evaluated HYPPOLITE. She signed a patient refusal with Medic 4 and everyone cleared from the scene.

Narrative:
Owner of MV1 said she was standing in front of her house, 135 Randlett Park when she heard a loud bang. Owner of MV1 saw a landscaping company truck and trailer speeding away from her car. Owner of MV1 noted that there was a vehicle parked directly across the street making the street narrow but said trucks have been going up and down the street all day without any issues. Owner of MV1 said she could not make out the lettering on the truck but got the license plate which is 459567. Owner of MV1 said she's certain that this was the license plate but there is a chance she missed a number. I ran the license plate and it comes back cancelled to a 1988 American Command Pick Up truck and there is no contact information for the owner of the vehicle. It shows that the registration has been expired since 12/31/1989. Owner of MV1 showed me the damage that was done to the vehicle which was a flat tire on the rear direr side. Owner of MV1 made arrangements for AAA to come and take care of the vehicle. I provided Owner of MV1 with this accident report number. I canvassed the area for the landscaping truck with negative results. Owner of MV1 contacted me stating her neighbor has a picture of the truck off of their front door camera. Owner of MV1 emailed me the picture and I forwarded the picture to IT to be attached to this report. It should be noted you can not make out the lettering of the company in the photo.

Narrative:
On Sunday, May 22nd 2022, at approximately 17:41, I, Sgt. Roche, was dispatched to a two car MVA, involving Newton cruiser 504. Upon arrival, I spoke with the operator of vehicle 1, who stated that he was driving northbound on Walnut St, when vehicle 2 suddenly slammed on the brakes. He tried to slam on the brakes, and turn out of the way. He ended up striking the back of vehicle 2. He exited the vehicle apologized for bumping her, and asked if she was injured. The operator of vehicle 2 stated that a group of geese were crossing the street, and she had to suddenly stop to avoid hitting them. She stated that we needed to understand that the geese cross the street in this area, and that turkeys cross the street in a certain area of Beacon St. She wanted us to be more careful in these particular areas, and that we should know that these are the specific areas that these animals cross. I advised her that the Officers in the City of Newton are always very careful while driving, and that today was an accident that occurred. I asked her to supply her license, and registration. She said she was not comfortable doing that, and that she did not trust police, and that "it was not going to go in her favor." I advised her that I am on scene to take statements and facts from both parties, and that all of it would be included in the report. At this point she handed me the license and registration. Vehicle 2 had a small dent to the center rear bumper. Vehicle 1 had minor damage to the front push bar. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene. No injuries occurred due to the accident. Pictures were taken, and submitted to the IT Bureau.
