MV1 stated she was travelling s/b on Crafts St when MV2 "t-boned me" causing damage to the passenger side. MV1 reported no injuries and called for a private tow. MV2 stated he was travelling n/b on Walnut St and "pulled out too far at the stop sign" subsequently striking MV1 causing minor damage to the front of their vehicle. MV2 reported no injuries, did not require a tow and was cited for 89/9 Stop Sign.

OPERATOR OF MV 1 STATED HE WAS TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND ON CRAFTS STREET AND AS HE APPROACHED THE INTERSECTION AT ALBERMARLE ROAD HIS VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BY MV 2. MODERATE DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO MV 1 AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. MV 1 WAS TOWED BY TODYS TO THEIR LOT AFTER ALL VALUABLES WERE REMOVED BY THE OWNER. OPERATOR OF MV 2 WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON ALBERMARLE ROAD AND AS HE DROVE ACROSS THE INTERSECTION OF CRAFTS STREET AFTER COMING TO A STOP AT THE STOP SIGN, HE STRUCK MV 1 ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. HEAVY DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO MV 2 AND OPERATOR WAS TRANSPORTED BY MEDICS TO NWH TO BE EVALUATED FOR HIS INJURIES. OPERATOR OF MV 2 WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A STATEMENT OF HOW THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED AND HIS VEHICLE WAS ALSO TOWED BY TODYS TO THEIR LOT. A WITNESS TO THE ACCIDENT IDENTIFIED AS BRIAN ABDOW STATED THAT MV 2 WAS AT FAULT. HE STATED THAT MV 2 CAME TO A STOP AT THE STOP SIGN BUT THEN ACCELERATED INTO TRAFFIC ON CRAFTS STREET AND STRUCK MV 1 WHO HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY. OPERATOR OF MV 2 IS BEING ISSUED MA UNIFORM CITATION T1268369 FOR CH.89 S.9 FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH STOP SIGN.

The operator of MV1 stated that she was traveling southbound from Quinobequin Road onto Ellis Street when the right rear of her vehicle was struck by MV2 when they failed to stop at a stop sign. The operator of MV2 states that she was traveling Eastbound coming off of Boylston Street when she failed to see the posted stop sign subsequently striking MV1. MV1 sustained major damage to the right rear wheel and airbag deployment and was towed from the scene by Todys. MV2 sustained moderate damage to the front bumper but was driven from the scene. Medics evaluated both parties and they signed patient refusals. The operator of MV2 was giving in hand MA uniform citation T1443935 for 89-9 failure to stop.

MV1 was traveling EAST (MA Reg: 179WT7, a 2010 Mazda MX5) on Webster St. MV2 was traveling SOUTH (MA Reg: 8NM969, a 2016 Audi A4) on Cherry St. MV1, operator Michael Zolli, stated he was traveling east on Webster St, stopped a the intersection and proceeded into the intersection when the light turned green. A witness (Norma Lemus) in the vehicle behind Michael stated the same and said they watched the white vehicle (MV2) proceed through the intersection when it was clearly a red light. MV2, operator Benjamin Lin, stated that he was traveling through the intersection of Webster St and Cherry St, looking around for street signs/directions when he collided with MV1. After colliding with MV1, MV2 then collided with a city light pole, knocking it down completely. Benjamin was given MA Uniform Citation T1441742 for 89/9 - Red Light, Fail. Both parties signed medical refusals. Both vehicles were towed by Tody's towing.

Operator of MV1 stated he was traveling Eastbound on Grove Street when he observed MV2 fail to stop for a stop sign coming off the RT. 128 Northbound ramp and collided with his vehicle. Operator of MV2 stated she was traveling Northbound on the RT. 128 Northbound off ramp when she attempted to turn Eastbound onto Grove Street, however collided with MV1.The operator of MV1 stated she must have not stopped for the stop sign and also stated she must have been looking at her GPS on her phone. No injuries. MV1 sustained heavy right front end damage. MV2 sustained heavy front end damage along with heavy drivers side damage. Both vehicles involved were towed on scene. A towed motor vehicle form was filled out for both involved vehicles.

Operator of MV1 stated she was traveling Northbound on Chestnut Street. approaching Fuller Street when MV2 struck her vehicle on the drivers side. Operator of MV2 stated she was traveling Eastbound on Fuller Street. and proceeded through the intersection and collided with MV1. Operator of MV1 stated she did not observe the stop sign located on Fuller St. which was pointed out to her on the scene. No injuries. All involved signed patient refusals from the medics on scene. MV1 sustained heavy left front end and drivers side damage. MV2 sustained heavy front end damage. Both vehicles involved were towed on scene by Todys. A towed motor vehicle form was filled out for both vehicles and placed on file.

Operator of vehicle #1 stated she was travelling Westbound on Commonwealth Ave when her vehicle was struck suddenly by vehicle #2. Operator of vehicle #1 Stated that he was travelling North bound and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Temple St. and Commonwealth Ave. Operator #1 entered the travel lane and struck vehicle #1. A passenger in vehicle #2 (Uber Vehicle) was transported to NWH by a family member prior to the arrival of EMS. Both vehicles were towed due to extensive damage.

Oper of MV # 1 admitted fault. Stated she was traveling WB on Commonwealth Ave CL when she turned left onto Sumner Street and then attempted to cross Commonwealth Ave. She stated she didn't see bus coming. Oper # 2 stated the MV #1 pulled out right in front of him while he was traveling WB on Commonwealth Ave. Oper # 1 was checked by medics and signed a refusal. MV #1 was towed by AAA B.C. police responded and took pictures. Bus was hired by Boston College.

On Sunday, March 1st 2020, at approximately 5:38pm, I, Officer Brooks, was dispatched to the intersection of Linwood avenue and Watertown street for a bicyclist struck by a MV. Upon my arrival I spoke with the bicyclist who stated she was traveling westbound on Watertown street, and was in the crosswalk at the intersection of Linwood avenue, when she was struck by MV1(MA REG67FD40), which had been traveling southbound on Linwood avenue. The bicyclist stated that the operator of MV1 did not come to a stop at the stop sign. The bicyclist was complaining of minor leg pain, but signed a patient refusal with Cataldo. The bicyclist was dressed in black pants, and a gray sweater, and was not wearing a helmet. The bicycle sustained damage to the handlebars. At the time of the accident the sun was setting, however the street lights had not yet come on. I then spoke with the operator of MV1 who stated she was traveling southbound on Linwood avenue, and was attempting to turn right onto Watertown street when she struck the bicyclist. The operator stated she never saw the bicyclist before the collision. The front of MV1 sustained minor damage. I was able to speak with a witness to the accident over the phone after clearing the scene. The witness stated that MV1 failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Linwood and Watertown street, and that the bicyclist was already well into the crosswalk at the time of the collision. Officer Howes took pictures of the accident scene that have been submitted to the IT bureau. Based of the witness statements MA Uniform citation T2080576 has been mailed to the operator of MV1 for MGL C.89 S.11 Failing to yield for a pedestrian in a cross walk.

On 08/21/20 at 13:32 hours, I responded to Boylston & Chestnut Streets for a two car motor vehicle accident involving no injuries. On arrival, both vehicles were pulled over to the right side of the road by 917 Chestnut Street. Operator of M/V# 1 states she was traveling straight ahead on the westbound off ramp of Boylston Street at Chestnut Street. She states she stopped for the stop sign and was attempting to proceed straight through the intersection. Next, she states she was looking towards the right for oncoming traffic and thought it was clear to proceed both ways when she made contact with M/V # 2 in the intersection. I observed moderate damage to the driver's side front quarter panel area/bumper but the vehicle was still driveable. Operator of M/V# 2 states he was traveling straight ahead northbound on Chestnut Street at Boylston Street. He says that he believes M/V # 1 stopped for the stop sign but was inching out in to the intersection. He says that once she came out he attempted to apply his brakes to no avail and the two made contact. I observed moderate damage to the front passenger side quarter panel/bumper area but the vehicle was still driveable. As a result of the accident and the fact that the operator entered the intersection when it was not clear to proceed, I issued the Operator of M/V# 1 MA Uniform Citation# T2015936 for Ch. 89/9 Failure to Stop for Stop Sign.

MV1 stated he was travelling straight on Auburn St when MV2 "ran the red light and I hit him" causing front end damage. No injuries reported or tow required. MV2 stated he just "wasn't paying attention and ran the light" causing drivers side damage. No injuries reported or tow required. Operator was cited for failure to stop @ red light.

MV1 was heading southbound coming from Centre Street. MV1 stated that he had the green light and began entering into the intersection heading towards the on-ramp of the Massachusetts Turnpike. MV2 stated that she was getting off the exit ramp of the Massachusetts Turnpike and had a yellow light heading westbound on Washington Street. MV2 drove through the yellow light trying to beat the light. MV2 struck into the drivers side of MV1. There was damage to the driver side door, and rear driver side door of MV1. There was damage to the front left bumper and front center bumper to MV2. There were no injuries from either party invovled. Both vehicles drove away from the scene.

On Monday, March 8th 2021, at approximately 4:51pm, I, Officer Brooks, responded to the intersection of Washington street and Adams street for an auto pedestrian accident. The vehicle involved was described as a 4 door blue sedan and had fled the scene northbound on Adams street. The injured party was not able to provide any further description of the vehicle or operator, and no witnesses were present. I spoke with Traivon King who was the party that had been struck by the vehicle. He stated he was walking eastbound on Washington street, and had the cross walk signal to cross over Adams street. The blue sedan was traveling westbound on Washington street and turned northbound on Adams street ignoring the crosswalk signal. King stated he was struck on the right side of his body and knocked to the ground. The operator of the car stopped briefly and stated the sun had been in his eyes before driving away. King complained of pain to his right arm, and was transported by Fallon ambulance services to NWH. It should be noted it was day light, the weather was clear, and King was wearing a green plaid jacket, a plaid hat, and blue jeans. Due to the fact the vehicle had fled the scene and the victim was aready being tended to by the medics photos were not taken.

Operator of MV #1 stated he was stopped at the red light at Centre St. at Washington St. Operator # 1 stated the light turned green and he proceeded Southbound to access the Mass pike Westbound on ramp when his vehicle was struck suddenly by vehicle #2. Operator of vehicle #2 stated he had just exited the mass pike and did not see the light changing from yellow to red and collided with vehicle #1.

Operator of vehicle #1 stated he had a green light and was taking a left turn from Prospect St. onto Washington St. Operator #1 stated that vehicle #2 was heading Eastbound on Washington St, went through the red light and struck vehicle #1. Operator of vehicle #2 Stated she was travelling Eastbound on Washington St. and did not see the red light and proceeded through the intersection and collided with vehicle #1. There were no reported injuries and vehicle #1 was towed.

Operator of vehicle #1 stated she was travelling Southbound on Cherry St. Operator #1 stated she became distracted by a passenger in the vehicle and did not see the red light at the intersection at Cherry St. and Derby St. Operator #1 stated that she continued through the intersection and collided with vehicle #2. Operator of vehicle #2 stated she was travelling East bound on Derby St. and had a green light to proceed through the intersection. Operator #2 stated that vehicle #1 did not stop at the red light and collided with vehicle #2. Medics arrived on scene and evaluated all parties. No reported injuries. Both vehicles were towed away by Tody"s due to excessive damage.

Operator of vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on Commonwealth Ave behind vehicle 2. Operator of vehicle 1 stated that vehicle 2 quickly swerved right then made a u-turn across the double yellow line and struck her vehicle head on. Operator of vehicle 2 stated he attempted to make a u-turn and went head on into vehicle 1. Both operators reported no injuries and signed patient refusals with Fallon medical. Both vehicles were towed by Todys Towing. I issued operator 2 in hand MA Uniform Citation #T1447322 for 89/4a marked lanes violation. Commonwealth Ave is a public way in the City of Newton.

On 10/21/21 at 15:24 hours, I (Traffic Unit 523) responded to 1479 Washington Street for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist. The weather at the time was seventy three degrees with mostly cloudy skies and some sun(weather.com). The road conditions were dry and Washington Street is a public way maintained by the City of Newton. Washington Street is a two way divided roadway with an unprotected median that runs in a easterly and westerly direction. At this location, there is a marked crosswalk with a walk signal along with traffic signals above in both directions. On arrival, the scene was cleared up and both parties were waiting in the parking lot of the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home at 1479 Washington Street. I spoke to the bicyclist involved who was identified as Rajmattie Thakoordeen. I asked her what occurred and she stated that she was attempting to cross Washington Street in a southerly direction on her electric bicycle. She says that she pushed for the crosswalk signal to activate and once it did she began riding her bicycle when she was suddenly struck by a silver Saab 93. She made it out in to the crosswalk approximately four feet when she was struck by the Saab which was travelling westbound in the right lane of Washington Street. She says that she was struck on the left side of her leg area. She complained of her left leg being sore near her knee area but signed a patient refusal with Fallon Ambulance declining transport. At the time, she was riding a Rad Power Bike Roadrunner 1 Plus that is silver and black in color. It is a Class 2 electric bicycle (750W) that can go up to 20 m.p.h. The only damage it sustained was scrapes to the outside left pedal. Ms. Thakoordeen was wearing black/gray/white pants, yellow reflective jacket, and a black bicycle helmet at the time. Next, I spoke to the operator of the Saab 93 bearing RI registration # FN193. He was identified as Nevan Hanumara with Rhode Island Driver's License # 9960501. He stated that he was travelling westbound on Washington Street in the right travel lane when he came around the curve and noticed the red light signal above in the last second. He says by the time he reacted and attempted to stop he went through the red light and made contact with the bicyclist in the crosswalk. He reported no injuries and no damage to his vehicle. Due to his statement and inattention to the traffic signal, I issued him MA Uniform Citation # 168985AB for Chapter 89/9 Fail to Stop/Yield for the red traffic signal. Digital photos were taken of the scene.

MV1 stated he was attempting to turn left from Watertown St onto Albermarle Rd when the drivers side rear end of his bus made contact with the drivers side of MV2 causing minor damage. Operator of MV1 stated he saw MV2 "stop at the yellow light, I looked around to make sure it was safe to go and then when I went forward, I saw she had now moved out in to the middle of the intersection and was stopped blocking traffic". MV2 stated she was travelling straight when she was struck by MV1 causing minor damage. Operator of MV2 was cited for Unlicensed Operation as well as causing gridlock. No injuries reported and no tows requried. Digital images of the scene were turned ove to the IT Bureau.

The Operator of Vehicle #1 stated that she was distracted by something that she saw on the sidewalk, and must have drifted to the right before colliding with Vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 was parked and unoccupied; it collided with Vehicle #3 as a result of the Collision from Vehicle #1. Vehicle #3 was parked and unoccupied; it collided with Vehicle #4 as a result of these prior collisions. Vehicle #4 was also parked and unoccupied. The operator of Vehicle #1 was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and her vehicle towed by Tody's Towing Co. The 3 other vehicles had tows arranged by their owners.
