On 6/7/2022. I responded to Windsor Rd for a report of a 2 MV accident. Upon Arrival I spoke to the operator of MV1 who stated she clipped the front of MV2 which was parked. She stated that she tried parking in front of MV2 and turned to early which caused her to hit MV2. MV2 Had moderate damage to the front right bumper. The owner of MV2 was not in the vehicle but stated she heard the crash. Both parties denied medical attention and both were given the report numbers.

On Sunday 6/12/22 at approximately 1333 hours while assigned to marked unit n498 I was dispatched to the area of 832 Dedham Street for a report of a 2 car motor vehicle crash with no injuries. Upon arrival I spoke with the operator, GERSHON Andrew, of motor vehicle #1 (6HS292). GERSHON states he was traveling Westbound on Dedham Street toward Brookline Street when he approached the driveway at 832 Dedham Street and motor vehicle #2 started to pull out in front of him. GERSHON states as he saw the vehicle pull out he swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid the collision, however motor vehicle #2 struck the passenger side of his vehicle. After the collision GERSHON attempted to pull back into his lane of travel, but lost control causing him to overcorrect and go off the road on the westbound side of the road in front of 824 Dedham Street causing some damage to the front landscaping of the yard. Secondly, I spoke with the operator, JIN Zhien, of motor vehicle #2 (EV87SA). JIN states she was attempting to pull out of the driveway of 832 Dedham Street and didn't see motor vehicle #1. JIN states she was distracted because there was a lot going on inside the car. She stated she was not on her cell phone. Finally I also spoke with a witness, CURTIS Ron, who was travelling in the opposite direction and witnessed the crash. Ron stated he saw motor vehicle #1 travelling straight in the opposite direction on Dedham Street. He saw the Tesla (MV#2) attempting to pull out of the driveway at 832 Dedham Street and drive into the side of MV#1. Ron stated he also observed MV#1 swerve into his lane of traffic trying to avoid the collision and then spinning out into the front of 824 Dedham Street. Taking the witness, operator, and passenger statements into account as well as my observations, I determined the operator, (JIN Zhien) of MV#2 (EV87SA) is at fault for the crash and she has been issued Massachusetts Uniform Citation T2012918 C89 S8 Failure to Yield Right of Way.

On Tuesday 6/14/2022, at approx 1311hrs, while assigned to N496, I responded to the parking lot of 1280 Centre St in Newton for a MVA hit&run with a parked vehicle. There I observed fresh damage to the rear bumper of MV1. The owner of MV1 was notified of the accident and was given a report number. I was unable to locate the owner of MV2, Song Mai. Mai was cited for leaving the scene of property damage. MA citation number T2015014 was mailed to the address listed on Mai's registration. It should be noted that Mai has an extensive drivers history including leaving the scene of property damage.

THE OPERATOR OF MV 1 STATED HE WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON ELIOT AVE AND AS HE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THERE WAS A LOW HANGING TREE BRANCH WHICH STRUCK THE TOP OF HIS DELIVERY TRUCK CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE ROOF. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND FORESTRY WAS ADVISED TO CLEAN UP THE BRANCHES.

Operator of Vehicle 1 states he was travelling Northbound on Ferncroft Rd when the operator became briefly distracted by his phone. Vehicle 1 then struck the curb and a tree on the West side of the road in front of #64 Ferncroft Rd, causing extensive damage to the front of the vehicle and airbag deployment. The operator denied any injuries and declined medical treatment. Vehicle 1 was towed from the scene by Tody's Towing. Newton Fire responded to clean up engine fluids that had leaked on the roadway. The witness who initially reported the crash to 911 stated that she observed the operator of Vehicle 1 pass her location at a higher than reasonable rate of speed and was looking down at his phone. I then issued the operator Mass. Uniform Citation #T1448099 (Written Warning) in hand to the operator's mother as his agent for a violation of C90ss13B Texting While Driving

On Sunday 6/19/22 at aproximaytely 11:48 hours while assigned to marked unit N-498 Officer Soloman was on a special assignment to assist with a procession at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church (280 Elliot Street) beginning at noon. While setting up a road closure by placing traffic cones on Linden Street Officer Soloman inadvertently struck a parked motor vehicle in front of 43 Linden Street. While attempting to go around a traffic cone the passenger side fender above the wheel well of N-498 struck the drivers side tail light of the parked motor vehicle. The collision caused the tail light to crack on the parked motor vehicle and there were only minor scratches to N-498. Officer Soloman left the location to assist with the event at the church, Sgt. Dempsey was notified. At the conclusion of the event Officer Soloman went back to 43 Linden Street to attempt to speak with the owner of the motor vehicle. The owner was not home, but Officer Soloman was able to speak with her husband, DWYER Michael, and inform him of what happened. Officer Soloman gave him all the pertinent information that he would need. Pictures were taken of the damage to the motor vehicle and N-498 and forwarded to IT.

The operator of MV1 stated he was traveling on North Street, driving approximately 70 mph and a skunk ran across the street. The operator stated he swerved to avoid the skunk, hit the curb and lost control of the vehicle. He stated once the car rested against the garage to 105 North Street, he and the passenger got out of the vehicle. He stated the passenger told him to leave. The operator stated he walked down Farwell Street and after thinking about what happened he came back to the scene of the accident. The operator and passenger stated they were not injured. After speaking with the operator, I observed tire marks going South on North Street and followed them to the curb where I believe he struck which was located approximately 100 yards, in front of 129 North Street. From my observations, MV1 struck the curb located in front of 129 North Street. After striking the curb, MV1 spun sideways, continued traveling southbound, until the MV crossed into southbound lane, struck the curb and then the utility pole 14. After striking the curb the MV spun around facing north, struck the retaining wall, bushes and light pole, located in front of 107 North Street. After striking the light pole, the vehicle hit the garage door at 107 and 105 North Street, resting against 105 North Street. There was significant damage to the garage doors to 105 and 107 and damage to the support beam located between the residences. MV1 sustained major damage to the motor vehicle. Todys was notified for a tow. Photos were taken of all damage and submitted to IT

ON 6-20-22 AT APPROX. 1233HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 331 WALNUT ST. I SPOKE TO THE OWNER OF VEHICLE #1. OWNER STATES SOMETIME BETWEEN 1215HRS-1233HRS WHILE HIS VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN FRONT 0F331 WALNUT ST. SOMEONE HAD HIT HIS FRONT LEFT BUMPER OF HIS MOTOR VEHICLE CAUSING DAMAGE. THERE WERE NO WITNESSES IN THE AREA AND NO ONE HAD LEFT A NOTE. VEHICLE #1 HAD LEFT FRONT BUMPER DAMAGE. OWNER REPORTS NO INJURIES AND WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT HIS INSURANCE COMPANY. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

On June 20, 2022 at approximately 1342 hours, I responded to 124 Langley Rd for a report of an MVA. Upon arrival, I spoke with owner of MV2 who stated a man named Patrick Fabrizio saw MV1 strike their MV and continue down the road(see Patricks witness statement). The owner of MV2 stated their vehicle was parked outside of 124 Langley Rd when the incident occurred. I observed damage to the driver's side mirror. Patrick was able to take a photo of MV1 plate and I was able to contact the owner and coordinate an exchange of information among the Owners. Owner of MV1 states she was driving WB on Langley Rd when she struck MV2 side mirror. No injuries or tows to be reported.

Operator of MV1 was parking in a parking spot outside of Pressed Cafe located at 300 Needham St. Operator believed she was in Park but was actually in Drive. Operator mistakenly pressed on the gas and accelerated over the curb and through a large window and ended up inside of Pressed Cafe. Operator and her daughter, Brynn Bryant, were trapped in the vehicle and freed by NFD. Operator and Brynn were transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital. The other 2 passengers, Gabe Cohen and Marc Andrew, were not trapped and declined any medical attention and left the scene after speaking with the medics. MV1 was towed by Todys. Nobody inside Pressed Cafe was injured. John Faggiano was standing next to where the car went through the building but declined any medical attention. Pictures and a video of the accident from the security system was sent to IT to attach to the report.

On 06/21/22 at 08:05 hours, I responded to 12 Marshfield Road for a City of Newton Dept. of Public Works vehicle involved in a crash with another vehicle. Marshfield Road is a public way maintained and owned by the City of Newton. At the time of the crash, the weather was sunny and clear and the road conditions were dry. Also, there was road construction going on as a company was grinding the roadways in the area for the City of Newton. Two detail officers were on scene and Ofc. Conary called in the accident to Newton Police Dispatch. On arrival, I spoke to the operator of M/V# 1 identified as Suzanne Ennis (MA D/L # S80758886) who was driving a 2015 Honda CRV color red bearing MA reg.# 769YR1. Ms. Ennis stated that due to the road construction and it being blocked at Walter Street and Jackson Street everyone was being funneled down (EB ) on Marshfield Rd by the detail officers. Ennis further stated that there was construction vehicle apparatus parked along Marshfield Road in the westbound direction which made the road narrow. She then attempted to pass a parked City of Newton Toyota Rav4 (M/V # 2) on the right of her when another pick up truck suddenly started traveling westbound. She says that she tried correcting her steering but made contact with the driver's side front quarter panel area of M/V # 2. I observed a minor black scuff mark to the front passenger side quarter panel area. M/V # 2 is a 2019 Toyota Rav4 color white bearing MA Official reg. # M5181A. It is owned by Enterprise FM Trust and being leased by the City of Newton Public Works. The Rav4 was parked legally on the right side near 12 Marshfield Road with a City of Newton employee sitting in the front driver's seat. The employee was Kimberly Ritcey who works for the engineering department for the Newton Dept. of Public Works. Ritcey reported no injuries. I observed minor scrape marks to the driver's side front quarter panel area. Photos taken of the scene and submitted to the I.T. Bureau.

MV 1 was traveling straight northbound on Cherry St when he rear ended MV 2. The operator of MV 1 (Mr. Richard Antonellis) stated he did not see the parked vehicle due to poor lighting in the roadway. I observed the street light where the crash occurred to be blocked by multiple trees on the side walk. The operator of MV 1 was not injured during the accident and signed a patient refusal with Fallon medics. The passenger of MV 1 sustained a minor cut on her nose and was treated on scene with Fallon medics and signed a refusal to be transported. MV 1 sustained major damage to its front and right side. Front and side airbags also deployed. MV 1 was towed by Tody's due to it being disabled MV 2 was legally parked on the right side of Cherry St facing Northbound. MV 1 rear ended MV 2. MV 2 was unoccupied and parked when the crash occurred. MV 2 sustained major damage to its rear and left side. MV 2 was towed by Tody's due to it being disabled.

On 06/22/22 at 13:32 hours, I (Traffic Unit 523) was dispatched to 38 Eldredge Street for a two car motor vehicle crash involving a City of Newton Dept. of Public Works truck. Sgt. Mclean called in the crash to Dispatch after seeing it occur. Eldredge Street is a public way owned and maintained by the City of Newton. The weather conditions were clear and sunny and the road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. On arrival, I spoke to the operator of M/V # 1 identified as Elizabeth Langston (MA D/L # S89458234) who was operating a 2013 Nissan Rogue color black bearing MA reg. # 3BMK31. Ms. Langston states that she was parked across the street from 38 Eldredge Street. When she went to pull out in to the travel lane going southbound, she never saw another vehicle going by her and struck M/V # 2 on it's passenger side. She further stated that she believed it was a blind spot in her side view mirror. I observed damage to her driver's side door handle and driver's side bumper. As a result of the crash, the entire bumper was dislodged from the vehicle. Langston called for a private tow (Pro-Tech Waltham) to have her vehicle removed. Next, I spoke to the operator of M/V # 2 Richard Leone (MA D/L # S61672498) who works for the City of Newton Department of Public Works. At the time, he was operating a 2019 Ford 350 color white bearing MA Official reg.# M3106A. He stated that he was traveling straight ahead (SB) on Eldredge Street when M/V # 1 pulled out and struck him on the passenger side. I observed scrapes to the passenger side door that extend down to the wheel well of the cab to the truck. I also observed a dent on the truck between the passenger side door and bed of the truck. No injuries reported by either operator. Photos taken of the scene and submitted to the I.T. Bureau.

Vehicle #2 was traveling east on Washington St. in the left center travel lane. Vehicle #1 was traveling east on Washington St. in the right center travel lane. Vehicle #1 attempted to pass Vehicle #2 and change lanes into the left center travel lane and side swiped Vehicle #2. There were no injuries reported at the accident. Vehicle #1 sustained minor damage to its back seat driver side door. Vehicle #2 sustained minor damage to its passenger side front quarter panel and front bumper. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

On Thursday 6/23/2022 at approx 1422hrs, while assigned to N496, I responded to 871 Beacon St in Newton for a MVA hit&run. There I met Chase Laxdal, who stated that his companies vehicle, MV1, had its driver side view mirror struck sometime between 1pm-145pm today. It was legally parked in front 871 Beacon St. It should be noted that there are no cameras in the area.

On Friday 6/24/2022 at approx 0951hrs, while assigned to N496, I responded to the rear parking lot of 718 Beacon St in Newton. There, I spoke with the operator of MV1 who stated that her vehicle was unoccupied and in a parking space when MV2 ( USPS Truck #7533313) struck the front drivers side of her vehicle. Operator of MV2 states that he attempted to pull out of his parking space but accidently hit MV1. MV1 had considerable damage to the front drivers side corner of the vehicle. MV2 had minor scrape damage to its passenger side.

On Friday, June 24, 2022, while assigned to unit N492, I responded to the area of Lowell Avenue and Otis Street for a report of a MVA involving a Feeney construction vehicle. The weather at the time of the crash was clear and sunny. The road surface was dry. Lowell Avenue and Otis Street are both public ways maintained by the City of Newton. The operator of MV1, Mr. Richard Holmes (S34147311), stated he was operating a 2021 CAT 420 Backhoe (MA CON: W35648) is the area of 297 Lowell Avenue (S). Mr. Holmes stated he was transporting a portable restroom in the front bucket to another location on their job site. Mr. Holmes stated a vehicle was traveling towards him on Lowell Avenue (N) and he moved over to the right side of the road to create more room on the roadway for both vehicles. Mr. Holmes stated at this time the front passenger side of the backhoe's bucket area crashed into the rear of an unoccupied vehicle parked in front of 297 Lowell Avenue (S). I observed minor damage to the bucket area of the backhoe. No injuries were reported by Mr. Holmes. The owner of MV2, Mr. Michael Fedas (S87986062), was advised that his 2019 Kia Forte (MA: 3ZDV69) was involved in the crash. I observed moderate damage to the rear driver side area of MV2. Mr. Fedas was working in the area in his official capacity as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.

On Saturday 06/25/22 at approximately 1508 hours while assigned to patrol sector n498 operating marked unit n503 I was dispatched to the area of Rt 9 Eastbound and Walnut Street (Both public ways in the City of Newton) for a report of a 2 car motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival I spoke with the operator,(BROWNE Sarah Ann) of MV#1(MA REG 514HH4) who states that she was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Rt 9 Eastbound. She was attempting to enter Rt 9 Eastbound waiting for traffic to clear when she was struck in the rear by motor vehicle#2. After speaking with BROWNE I spoke with the operator, (REED Ethyn) of MV#2, (NY REG JNZ6912) who states he was behind MV#1 also attempting to get on to Rt 9 Eastbound. He states he saw MV#1 pull forward and at that point he looked over his left shoulder to see if traffic was clear. He saw a clearing and began to accelerate forward not realizing that MV#1 had not yet entered traffic, striking MV#1 in the rear. While on scene REED gave me registration papers that were not matching his vehicle, therefore, I queried the license plate, REED's drivers license and VIN number. REED's license plate, (NY REG JNZ6912) came back to a 1999 Brown Toyota Camry, however this license plate was attached to a 2011 White Honda Civic belonging to Luis Rios. Subsequently I queried the Vin number on the vehicle (2HGFA1F88BH525771) Which came back to the vehicle on scene, a 2011 White Honda Civic owned by REED with a suspended registration due to invalid proof of insurance. Finally I queried REED's California Drivers License (Y2616596) which came back as EXPIRED with a status of "Withdrawn Pending PDPS Clearance". While I was conducting the investigation Tody's was en route to tow the vehicle. Due to the damage from the crash the vehicle was inoperable. I informed REED the vehicle was being towed due to the damage and for not having insurance. I explained to REED I would further investigate the status of his license and the vehicle and Mail him the citation once my investigation was complete. At this time I am issuing Massachusetts Uniform Citations T3044941 and T3044942 for the following offenses: C90 S23 Attaching Registration Plates C90 S34J Operating a MV without Insurance C90 S9 Operating Unregistered MV C90 S10 Operating without a License I also confiscated the New York Registration plate, JNZ6912, and placed it into property and evidence locker #1. MV1 operator states she was inside of 71 Needham St with MV1 parked in the back parking lot around 1700 hours. When she came out, she saw that her vehicle had been hit in the front left of her bumper. I observed fresh light damage to MV1s front left bumper. No security cameras were in view of the incident. No tows or injuries reported.

MV1 was traveling southbound on Lexington Street. Operator of MV1 said she looked down to grab her phone and struck MV2. MV2 was unoccupied and parked legally in front of 78 Lexington Street. Operator of MV1 sustained a minor cut on the top of her head and was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital by Fallon Medics. MV1 had damage to the front right bumper and was towed by Tody's. MV2 had damage done to the left rear bumper and was able to drive away from the scene.

MV1 was traveling WESTBOUND on Watertown St when it collided with two parked cars. MV2 (NY Reg:KVE7969) was parked facing Westbound on Watertown St across from Dunstan St and MV3 (FL Reg:IGF7B) was parked in front of 919 Watertown St also facing Westbound. MV1 collided with MV2 and then continued Westbound, hit the curb and then collided with MV3. MV1 sustained heavy front end damage and airbag deployment. MV2 sustained heavy rear end driver's side damage. MV3 sustained minor rear end passenger side damage. MV1 operator signed a refusal with the medics. No medical issues. Operator was in a high emotional state due to a recent breakup with their partner. Tody's towed MV1. Owner of MV2, resides at 919 Watertown St, came out during the incident and was able to provide her information. MV2 was still driveable. A note was placed on MV3 with crash information. There was already existing damage to the stone wall and the fire hydrant outside of 919 Watertown St. There was no new damage from this accident to either wall of hydrant.

-Ped#1 was crossing Auburn Street southbound when she was struck by MV#1. MV#1 left the scene of the collision and did not leave any contact information. -Ped#1 stated she was crossing Auburn Street, after signaling the crosswalk. She stated she was in the crosswalk when MV#1 kept driving. Ped#1 stated she jumped back wards to avoid being struck,however, she clipped on the left ankle. She identified the driver as an old man. -I next spoke to Wit#1 and her statements regarding the collision coincided with Ped#1 Wit one went on to describe MV#1 as a dark gray Prius; that it pulled into the MBTA parking lot after PED#1 went to get her residency manager; and lastly she observed MV#1 leave the scene of the collision. Wit#1 stated she did not get the registration for MV#1. -Ped#1 was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for a minor injury to her left foot where she was struck by MV#1 while jumping out of the way. There was no cameras nor other witnesses found at this time.

At approximately 1242 HRs, on Sunday, June 26, 2022, I was dispatched to 199 Boylston St. for a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle crash. upon speaking with the operator of MV1 (MA Pass:TC84GZ), he stated that he was traveling northbound in the parking lot of 199 Boylston St., in the travel section. It was not until a few moments prior to impact, that he observed MV2 driving across empty parking stalls and then ultimately striking MV1. Upon speaking with the operator of MV2 (MA Pass:2HXE78), she stated that she was attempting to park MV2. To this end, she was driving westbound through empty parking stalls and as she entered the travel section, struck MV1. The operator of MV2 could not offer an explanation as to why she did not properly yield the right of way to MV1. I noted damage to MV1's passenger side. The front passenger side door had a dent and scrapes and the right rear passenger side door had the door skin cut and dislodged, leaving a section approx. 1.5-2 feet long and the same wide, bent out and approx. 6 inches away from the body of MV1. I noted damage to the front left bumper cover and driving light of MV2. Due to safety concerns and to prevent further damage, the operator of MV1 began the process of securing a private tow for the vehicle. MV2 was able to continue to operate under its own power. I cleared without incident.

Mv#1 operator stated he was travelling on Elliot St E/B (right of way) passing the exit driveway of Negoshian's service station, 14 Elliot St. #1 stated at that time, a black Lexus SUV bearing MA reg H2158 (Mv#2) nosed out from the driveway and made contact with his passenger side rear quarter panel behind the wheel. #1 stated he pulled over on Elliot St however #2 did not stop and left the area. #1 described the operator as a W/M with dark beard and a female passenger. I observed #1 passenger side rear quarter panel which appeared to show fresh light colored scuff marks and light paint transfer. I queried the reported plate number of #2 which came back registered to Beverly Newman 16 Pickwick Rd W. Newton on a black Lexus SUV. Ofc Chieu responded to this address and located #2 there. The male operator was raised who identified himself as Peter Feig of the same address. The owner Ms Newman was the front seat passenger. I was able to observe a photo of the left front end of #2 and observed a light scuff mark where the grill meets the fender. I spoke to Mr Feig who stated he was unaware there was a collision at all. It appears the silver colored front grill of #2 made contact with #1. He stated he did remember #1 drive by at a high rate of speed. Feig was advised a report would be on file. #1 owner Mr Todd Miller was advised of my findings, satisfied and will contact his insurance company if needed.

MV 1 was turning left out of the parking lot from 251 Waltham St. While making the turn, she struck MV 2s front on her left front side. The operator of MV 1 stated there were no cars coming when she first started to make the turn but she was unable to complete it before MV 2 struck her. MV sustained damage to her center front, under carriage, and left front. MV 1 was towed due to it being disabled. There were no injuries to the operator or passenger of MV 1. MV 2 was traveling straight northbound on Waltham St when MV 1 stuck his front side. MV 2 sustained minor damage to his front left and center front. There were no injuries to the operator of MV 2. MV 2 was driven away by the operator.

MV 1 was traveling straight Southbound on Parameter Rd. MV 1 struck MV 2 in its rear and rear left at 185 Parameter RD. MV 1 sustained major damage to it front right and right side. MV 1 also had front and side air bag deployment. MV 1 was towed by Tody's towing. The operator of MV 1 had no injuries and signed a refusal with Fallon medics. The operator of MV 1, Mr. David Brand, stated he was changing the radio station and not paying attention to the road when he crashed into MV 2. MV 2 was legally parked on the side of Parameter Rd at 185 Parameter Rd. MV 2 was unoccupied while legally parked. MV 1 struck MV 2 in its rear and left rear. MV 2 sustained major damage to the front left or left side and left rear. MV 2 was towed due to it being disabled.

The owner of Vehicle #1. Ms. Ivy Delaney, returned to her vehicle to find fresh damage to the rear driver's side bumper and quarter panel. The vehicle was parked in the Star Market parking lot at 33 Austin St. I spoke to the manager at Star Market in order to view the camera that faces the parking lot in an effort to possibly get a plate/description of the vehicle that struck Ms. Delaney's vehicle, however the manager refused to allow me to view the footage. I didn't push the issue, but instead asked that he view it, and notify me if he is able to get a description of the vehicle in question.

On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, while assigned to unit N496, I responded to the area of Langley Road and Hamlet Street, Newton for a report of a roll over crash with 3 injured parties. The weather at the time of this crash was clear and sunny. The road surface in the area of the crash was dry. Langley Road and Hamlet Street are both public ways maintained by the City of Newton. I approached the area of the crash coming from Boylston Street and when I arrived my attention was drawn to two locations on Langley Road. I observed a female party laying prone on the sidewalk area of Langley Road (E) at the Hamlet Street intersection. This female party, later identified as Ms. Melinda Conroy, was being attended to by passerby's in the area. My attention was then drawn to an overturned vehicle resting half in the roadway/half on the sidewalk (W) in front of 323 Langley Road. As I began to run over to the vehicle, I observed a woman standing next to the vehicle screaming frantically. This party identified herself as the driver of the lone vehicle involved, Ms. Natalya Kabanovsky (S65512051). There were parties at the back of the vehicle yelling to me that there was a woman trapped under the vehicle and that they were holding the vehicle up to get her out. I ran over to the rear of the vehicle and observed a female party, later identified as Ms. Annette Sooper, lying underneath the vehicle in the roadway. There was a large pool of blood on the roadway as the result of a laceration to what appeared to be her head/face area. Due to the unknown stability of the vehicle resting on its roof, and due to the passerby's stating they were holding the vehicle up so it did not roll over onto Ms. Sooper, I reached under the vehicle from the rear, grabbed Ms. Sooper's person, and dragged her away from the vehicle to a safe location on the sidewalk. At this time, I observed a large laceration to Ms. Sooper's head and she stated she had suffered a leg injury. Newton Fire and Medics along with additional Police units arrived on scene and took over rendering aid to the victims. I then started to conduct my investigation into the crash. I spoke with the operator of the vehicle, Ms. Kabanovsky. Ms. Kabanovsky stated she was operating her 2005 Lexus ES330 (MA: 293TAB) on Hamlet Street (W) towards Langley Road. Ms. Kabanovsky stated as she approached the intersection, a female party (Ms. Conroy) ahead of her was running across Langley Road (S) at Hamlet Street. Ms. Kabanovsky stated she attempted to hit her brakes, but instead hit her gas pedal. Ms. Kabanovsky's vehicle crashed into Ms. Conroy and then she panicked. Ms. Kabanovsky stated her car then accelerated across the street and crashed. Ms. Kabanovsky stated she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and extricated herself from her vehicle after it rolled over onto its roof. I requested Ms. Kabonovsky's license while speaking to her, but she was too upset to located it. I queried Ms. Kabanovsky's license and registration status through Newton Dispatch. Ms. Kabanovsky's license stated is expired as of 12/18/2016. Ms. Kabanovsky registration is active. I observed substantial damage to the entire front end, driver, and passenger side of Ms. Kabanovsky vehicle. Ms. Kabanovsky was evaluated by Newton Medics and complained of right arm pain. Ms. Kabanovsky was also visibly distraught and expressed concern over the two pedestrians involved in the crash. Ms. Kabanovsky was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital for treatment. I briefly spoke with Ms. Melinda Conroy as she was being attended to by Newton Medics and Fire. Ms. Conroy stated she was running on Langley Road (S) and observed MV1 traveling on Hamlet Street (W) towards Langley Road. Ms. Conroy stated she believed MV1 was slowing down and coming to a stop. Ms. Conroy stated she waved at the vehicle and as she crossed the intersection, MV1 accelerated and crashed into her left side. Ms. Conroy stated she flipped over the vehicle and landed on the roadway. Ms. Conroy was conscious and alert when speaking to Newton Medics and was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. I later spoke with Ms. Conroy after her release from the hospital. Ms. Conroy stated she suffered some bumps and bruises had no major injuries. Officer Pohlman spoke with Ms. Sooper prior to her transport to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston by Newton Medics. Ms. Sooper stated she was walking on the sidewalk in front of 323 Langley Road after returning from Newton Centre. Ms. Sooper stated as she was walking, she observed MV1 hit Ms. Conroy and then travel across the street in front of her into a tree. Ms. Sooper stated she does not remember what happened after that. I spoke with Ms. Sooper's son at NPD HQ and was advised Ms. Sooper was admitted to the hospital and suffered a fracture of her left hip and required 6 staples to close a laceration on her head. Tody's Towing responded to the scene and removed MV1 from the roadway. Traffic Officer Wilson took pictures of the scene and submitted them to the IT Bureau. After speaking with all parties involved, Ms. Kabanovsky will be cited with Massachusetts Uniform Citation 494688AB in hand at her residence for Chapter 90, Section 10 (Unlicensed Operation), Chapter 90, Section 24 (Operate To Endanger), and Newton City Ordinance Chapter 19, Section 75 (Fail To Use Care). Ms Kabanovsky was also cited with Massachusetts Uniform Citation 494800AB in hand at her residence for Chapter 90, Section 13A (Fail To Wear A Seat Belt). A Request for Immediate Threat License Suspension/Revocation was completed and submitted to the Registry of Motor Vehicles with supporting documentation via e-mail, DCUImmediateThreat@massmail.state.ma.us.

Opr of MV1 stated he was stopped in traffic waiting to travel forward. At this time, he had not moved yet and was hit from behind by MV2. MV1 sustained damage to the rear and rear right of the vehicle. No injuries reported and MV1 was not towed. Opr of MV2 stated he was moving forward slowly. Opr of MV2 stated MV1 must have stopped and he was unable to stop in time. MV2 made contact with MV1 from behind. The angle of the crash was due to MV2 attempting to avoid contact. MV2 sustained minor damage to the front center and front left of the vehicle. No injuries reported and MV2 was not towed.

Owner of MV1 stated he was parked on the side of the road. While at work, between 6:30AM and 4:00PM, another vehilce hit his vehilce and ran. Other involved vehicle did not leave any information. the building across the street has cameras. MV1 sustained damage to its left side. Owner will check with the building and see if they caught anything on camera. Owner wanted to incident reported for insurance purposes.

MV1 operator stated she was parked in the 200 Boylston St parking garage, level P3 middle row between the hours of 0600 to 1420 hours. MV1 operator stated sometime between those hours an unknown MV must have pulled out from the spot next to hers and struck her MV at an angle. MV1 sustained minor rear bumper damage on the passenger side. The damage was an apparent paint transfer and a minor dent under the brake light (still operable). MV1 operator estimated the damage to be worth approximately $2000 USD. MV1 was unoccupied during the incident so no injuries were reported at this time. MV1 was still able to be driver, no tow required.

Operator of vehicle one stated that while passing parked vehicle two the right side of the his vehicle scraped up against vehicle two's front driver's side bumper. Vehicle two was a City of Newton DPW truck that was parked in front of 367 Albemarle Rd waiting to block off the street for the Fourth of July fireworks at Albemarle field. Vehicle one's operator stated that he could not pull to the side of the road after the crash because of heavy traffic due to the Fourth of July activities in the area. He did stop at his residence approximately two blocks from the crash area. Vehicle one had damage to the passenger side front and rear as well as the rear bumper. None of the occupants of vehicle one stated that they were injured. The owner of vehicle one had concerns about the amount of room that the DPW tuck took up on the roadway. It should be noted that a City of Newton DPW worker measured out the length of the roadway from the truck's front bumper to the grass line and it was 11 1/2 feet. According to the General Motors web site the width of vehicle one is 6 feet 7 inches. Operator of vehicle two stated that he was sitting in the driver side of the truck when vehicle one passenger side scraped up against it, and that he was not injured. Vehicle two front bumper had damage to it. It took photos of both vehicles and forward the disk to the NPD's IT Bureau for downloading. I issued operator of vehicle one MA Uniform Citation T 3045462 and cited him for a violation of City of Newton Ordnance 19/75 failure to use care while passing. Albemarle Rd is a public way in the City of Newton.

On Tuesday July 5, 2022 at approx. 0843 hours I responded to 807 Chestnut Street for a report of a hit/run. Upon arrival I met with oper V1 Mr. Maguire, he stated he was parked facing South on 807 Chestnut Street at a customers house when V2 swerved around his truck striking the left rear corner of the truck. He stated the vehicle continued south without stopping towards Rte.9. He described the vehicle as a bluish/grey Subaru Stwag MA partial registration of 82D. He further stated the driver appeared to be an elderly female with grey/white hair. He stated he had some back pain but refused medical services. He was advised of the process. I ran several quries of the partial registration with negative results.

On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, while assigned to unit N495, I responded to the area of Beacon Street and Walnut Street, Newton for a report of an MVA with no injuries. I met with both vehicles in the parking lot behind 1087 Beacon Street. The operator of MV1, Ms. Anne Bowers (SA6690354), stated she was operating her 2020 Mazda CX-5 (MA: 2SWC86) on Walnut Street (S) towards Beacon Street in the left turn only lane. Ms. Bowers stated the vehicle to her right entered her lane as she was traveling straight and crashed into the front passenger side area of her vehicle. I observed damage to the front passenger side tire/bumper/fender area of MV1. Ms. Bowers reported no injuries. The operator of MV2, Ms. Katia Inga-Martin (S74928812) stated she was operating her 2021 Nissan Rogue (MA:1VAX73) on Walnut Street (S) towards Beacon Street. Ms. Inga-Martin stated she put her left directional on to move into the other lane and did not see any other vehicles. Ms. Inga-Martin stated when she attempted to move into the left lane the driver side of her vehicle crashed into the passenger side of MV1. I observed moderate damage to the front driver side tire/fender/bumper/door area of MV2. Ms. Inga-Martin reported no injuries. Tody's towing responded and removed MV2 from the roadway due to the driver door not being able to secure. Both parties were advised.

OP1 of MV1 was traveling westbound on Rt. 9. MV1 was headed toward the Centre Street exit of RT. 9. The Centre Street exit on Rt. 9 has been closed due to ongoing construction. MV1 did not realize the exit was closed. In an attempt to avoid driving through the detour signs, MV1 made an abrupt turn off of Rt. 9 onto Walnut Street. As MV1 abruptly turned onto Walnut Street (Northbound), OP1 had no control over MV1. MV1 continued onto the curb, through the grass, and through the drive away. MV1 then crashed into the front porch of 1243 Walnut Street. MV1 sustained heavy front end damage. MV1 was towed by Todys. A towed inventory sheet was completed. OP1 was transported to BI Boston by Fallon Ambulance. Dispatch notified Building Inspector. Photos of Crash were taken and turned into IT.

On 07/07/22 at 11:44 hours, I (Traffic Unit # 523) responded to 68 Wyman Street Apt. # 5 for a past motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on 06/09/22 at 808 Beacon Street. This area of Beacon Street is a public way maintained and owned by the City of Newton. The weather at the time was 81 degrees and partly cloudy (wunderground.com). The road conditions at the time were dry. On arrival, I spoke to the pedestrian involved in the crash identified as Thomas Jones. He stated the crash took place on 06/09/22 approximately between the hours of 14:05 and 14:10. He further stated that this occurred at 808 Beacon Street while he was crossing Beacon Street near the Bank of America. He says that he pushed the button to activate the crosswalk yellow flashing signal lights. It should be noted that I am familiar with this location and it does have a marked crosswalk on both sides of 808 Beacon Street with yellow flashing signals that can be activated. Once activated, he says a vehicle traveling eastbound on Beacon Street stopped for him. He then entered the crosswalk from the eastbound side of Beacon Street going across the street with his walking cane. He kept walking in to the westbound travel lane of Beacon Street when he was suddenly struck by a motor vehicle. Thomas could not provide what type or color of the vehicle. As a result, Thomas fell forward and was knocked down to the ground on both hands and knees. He also says that his right cheek and eyeglasses struck the pavement which damaged the lens to his glasses. He sustained a bruised (black and blue) right eye. He says approximately seven days later he started having neck pain to which he has been receiving medical attention for. He also states an upper right side tooth implant fell out of his mouth. After the crash, he states he was helped up by two unknown bystanders. An elderly white female who was operating the vehicle that struck him approached him. Thomas says that the female told him that she did not see him crossing the street as she was looking down and not up at the time. She provided him with her name of Jill Levin and her telephone number before leaving. Thomas states he was wearing gray colored khaki pants, sneakers, and a light blue t-shirt at the time of the crash. Next, I attempted to call the number for Jill Levin and left her a message to call me back. At approximately 14:45 hours on this date, Ms. Levin came in to NPD Headquarters and spoke to me. I asked her if she was involved in a accident during the month of June. She stated that there was an incident on a Thursday approximately three weeks ago in June of 2022 at approximately 14:30 hours. She says she was driving her 2013 Lexus 450RX color gray bearing MA reg. # 6RK464 westbound on Beacon Street near address number 808. She saw an older male crossing in the crosswalk and she says that she stopped for him. The male then suddenly fell down in front of her car. She states that she never struck him with her vehicle. She then got of her vehicle and asked him if he needed any assistance to which he replied that he was fine and did not need anything. He provided his name to her. She then provided her name and phone number on a piece of paper. I asked Ms. Levin why she would provide her information to Mr. Jones if no accident occurred. She replied that it was the right thing to do as far as checking on him and seeing if he needed any assistance. I then inquired why Mr. Jones would alledge that she stated to him on scene that you did not see him crossing the street. Also, that you were looking down and not up. Ms. Levin denied ever stating this to Jones. I then went outside and looked at her Lexus 450RX to check for any damage to the front end of the vehicle. I observed two small scratches to the passenger side front bumper which appear unrelated. The marks were indicative of white paint transfer from having contact with another vehicle. Ms. Levin did not know where the marks came from. I advised her that I would investigate this further and check to see if there is surveillance footage from the Bank of America or other source. After, I attempted to call Bank of America and could not reach anyone there. I will check the area and go to the bank on 07/08/22 during my next shift. On 07/08/22 at approximately 09:10 hours, I went up to 808 Beacon Street and observed no other surveillance cameras in the area. I went in to the Bank of America and spoke to the branch manager. He showed me the multiple camera angles they have, but none show out in to Beacon Street. As a result of this investigation and the statements made by both parties, I believe that Mr. Jones was struck by Ms. Levin's vehicle. The fact that Ms. Levin got out of her vehicle to check on Jones and provide her information to him even though she claims no accident took place is highly unlikely. Therefore, I am issuing Ms. Levin MA Uniform Citation # 507419AB for Chapter 89/11 Crosswalk Violation. The citation was mailed out on 07/08/22. I spoke to Ms. Levin on the phone explaining a citation was issued and mailed to her.

The operator of MV#1 stated he was travelling southbound at the entrance of 1000 Commonwealth Ave when MV#2 pulled out of her parking spot and struck him. MV#1 sustained moderate damages to its passenger side front and rear door area. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#1 or its passengers. The operator of MV#2 stated she was attempting to pull out of her parking spot and did not see MV#1 when she struck it. MV#2 sustained moderate damage to its driver's side front bumper. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#2.

The witness to the hit and run stated she was inside and heard a bang. She looked out the window and heard MV1 back into the parked MV2. The witness then ran outside and observed the driver, a white male drive away and turn right onto Boyd Street. There was significant damage to the bumper of MV2. MV2's bumper was completely off. The vehicle involved was a white van with a green stripe. The witness got a phone number off the van, 401-827-8800. The phone number belongs to Liberty Mobility of West Warwick Rhode Island. A male party answered and stated he sold the vehicle years ago and has received multiple calls regarding the vehicle. A plate was not provided. The witness is not the owner of the vehicle, she is a neighbor.

MV#1 Was stopped in traffic on Parker St, facing Northbound when they were struck by MV#2 from behind. OPMV#1 Stated she was stopped in traffic when she was hit from behind by another vehicle. MV#2 Was stopped in traffic on Parker St, facing Northbound when they were struck by MV#3. OPMV#2 Stated he was stopped in traffic when he was struck from behind by another vehicle. MV#3 Was traveling Northbound on Parker St when they collided with MV#2 that was stopped in traffic. OPMV#3 Stated she didn't know what happened prior to the crash. MV#3 Was towed by Tody's Towing. OPMV#3 Was transported by EMS to Brigham Hospital.

ON 7-8-22 AT APPROX. 1757HRS. WHILE WORKING N496 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 95 GLEN AVE. I SPOKE TO THE OWNER OF VEHICLE #1. OWNER STATES SHE HAD PARKED HER VEHICLE IN HER DRIVEWAY LOCATED IN THE REAR OF 85 GLEN AVE. AFTER PARKING OWNER EXITED HER VEHICLE AND GOT HER DOG TO COME OUT. OWNER STATES THE DOGS LEASH GOT CAUGHT ON THE GEAR STICK AND SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL. OWNER STATES SHE GRABBED HER DOG AND FELL AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. SHE STATES THE VEHICLE STARTED BACKING WENT ACROSS ELGIN RD. TO THE DRIVEWAY LOCATED IN THE REAR OF 95 GLEN AVE. AFTER CROSSING THE STREET THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO TRAVEL AND SMASHED INTO VEHICLE #2 THAT WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY OF 95 GLEN AVE. DURING THE CRASH VEHICLE #2 WAS PUSHED AGAINST THE GARAGE OF 95 GLEN AVE. VEHICLE #1 CAME TO REST ASIDE THE GARAGE OF 95 GLEN AVE. OWNER OF VEHICLE #2 STATED SHE HEARD THE CRASH CAME OUT AND SAW THE DAMAGE. VEHICLE #1 HAD MINOR RIGHT REAR DAMAGE. VEHICLE #2 HAD EXTENSIVE RIGHT REAR DAMAGE AND MINOR FRONT END DAMAGE. THERE WAS ALSO MINOR DAMAGE TO THE GARAGE. ALL PARTIES REPORTED NO INJURIES. ALL PARTIES ADVISED TO CONTACT THEIR INSURANCE COMPANIES. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

The operator of MV1 stated he was traveling eastbound on Commonwealth Ave. while attempting to pull off to the road due to a flat tire on the drivers rear side, he struck the door of MV2 when the operator opened the door. The operator of MV2 stated he was parked, went to exit his vehicle and after opening the door MV1 struck the drivers side door to his vehicle. The damage that MV1 had was minor damage to the passenger side mirror. The damage MV2 had significant damage to the drivers door, causing it to not close. All parties stated they were not injured. MV1 was towed by Tody's due to a suspended registration.

MV#2 was parked in a stall on 948 Boylston Street when it was struck by MV#1' door. OpMv#1 then left the scene of the collision after assessing the damage to the MV#2. OpMV#2 stated OpMV#1 had a passenger in the vehicle with him at the time of the incident. -OpMV#2 stated he observed OpMV#1 hit the passenger side door of his vehicle, come out make an assessment of the damage to the door, claimed the damage had been there before and left. OPMV#2 stated he did not like the way OpMV#1 dismissed the entire situation and then simply took off. -I attempted to contact OpMV#1 to get his side of the events; to no avail. I observed a scratch at the base of rear right passenger door of MV#2, but did not observe further damage.

The owner of vehicle # 1 stated she had legally parked her vehicle on Vine St. across from 9 Vine St. When Owner #1 returned to the vehicle 2 hours later she observed damage to the vehicle caused by unkown vehicle #2.

ON 7-9-22 AT APPROX. 1226HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 133 BEAUMONT AVE. I SPOKE TO THE OPERATOR OF VEHICLE #1. DRIVER STATES HE WAS TRAVELING S-BOUND ON BEAUMONT WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF HIS STEERING AND WAS UNABLE TO AVOID HITTING VEHICLE #2. DRIVER HAD CALLED FOR A TOW. IT WAS EVIDENT BY OBSERVING HIS VEHICLE THAT HIS FRONT TIRES WERE GOING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. POSSIBLY AN AXLE OR TIRE ROD HAD BROKEN. OWNER OF VEHICLE #2 STATED SHE LEFT HER CAR PARKED IN FRONT OF 133 BEAUMONT AVE. WHEN SHE HEARD THE CRASH SHE CAME TO THE SCENE. VEHICLE #1 HAD MINOR RIGHT FRONT FENDER DAMAGE AS WELL AS TIRE DISPLACEMENT AND WAS TOWED BY PRIVATE TOW. VEHICLE #2 HAD MINOR LEFT REAR FENDER DAMAGE BUT WAS STILL OPERATIONAL. ALL PARTIES REPORTED NO INJURIES. ALL PARTIES ADVISED TO CONTACT THEIR INSURANCE COMPANIES. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

MV#1 was parked in the parking lot at 797 Beacon St. Operator of MV#1 stated that her and her husband parked the car in the lot earlier in the day to go and get dinner. She stated that when she returned to her car at approximately 2015 hrs, she observed a large scratch to the drivers side rear of her vehicle. She stated that there was no information left on her vehicle about who hit her. I advised her that I would document the incident in a crash report, and she was satisfied. No injuries occurred. The vehicle was driven home.

Operator of MV1 (MA reg. 54W780) states she was traveling eastbound on Washington Street when she approached the traffic light which was yellow and turning red. Operator of MV1 states she came to a stop at the light and a short moment later was struck from behind by MV2. Operator of MV2 (MA reg. 673YZ4) states he was traveling eastbound on Washington Street behind MV1. Operator of MV2 states he was distracted looking back at the rear passenger in his vehicle. When Operator 2 looked back at the road he was unable to stop and struck MV1. All parties stated they were not injured at the time. I issued all motorists involved the proper information for insurance purposes. Operator of MV2 was issued MA. uniform citation (T0644896) for following too closely.

Mv#2 was parked on side of street in the area of 1255 Centre St S/B. #2 turned left to pull out of the space attempting a U-turn. Mv#1 was travelling straight ahead in the left lane on Centre St S/B. At this time, #2 driver's side front end struck Mv#1 passenger side. #1 and #2 sustained moderate damage to those areas. No injuries.

The operator of MV#1 stated she was travelling northbound on Dedham St in the right side travel lane when she was struck by MV#2 merging from the left travel lane. MV#1 sustained heavy damages to its rear driver's side area. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#1. The operator of MV#2 stated he was travelling northbound on Dedham St in the left side travel lane attempting to merge onto the right side travel lane when he struck MV#1. The operator of MV#2 stated MV#1 was in his blind spot and he did not see it (MV#2 is a large commercial dump truck). MV#2 sustained minor non-visible damages to its passenger side front area. There were no reported injuries to the operator of MV#2.

OPERATOR OF MV 1 STATED TO ME THAT WHILE TRAVELING IN THE RIGHT LANE ON CENTRE ST NEAR STARBUCKS AND UNKNOWN LARGE 18 WHEEL TRUCK WAS IN THE LEFT LANE BESIDE HER, ENTERED HER LANE AND STRUCK HER VEHICLE ON THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE CAUSING DAMAGE AND PUSHING HER OUT OF HER LANE. THE TRUCK WHICH WAS POSSIBLY MAROON IN COLOR, NEVER STOPPED TO SWAP INFORMATION AND CONTINUED ONTO THE MASS PIKE WESTBOUND. THE OPERATOR STATED HER NECK HURT BUT REFUSED MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Operator of MV1 said he was traveling Northbound on Walnut Street and turned Westbound on to Otis Street. Operator of MV1 said he heard a low hanging wire hit the top of his truck and when he looked in his mirrors he realized the wire had come down. Operator of MV1 pulled to the side of the road to report the down wire. An Eversource truck saw the wire come down and rolled the wire up and out of the road. When the wire went down it caused minor damage to the trailer of the truck and it struck a motor vehicle behind the truck causing minor damage (See incident report 22024800 for damage done to the other vehicle). Both MV1 and MV2 were able to drive away from the scene and there were no injuries. There was no damage done to pole 336/2/1 or pole 78.

The operator of MV1 stated she was traveling west bound on Washington Street. As she was approaching Crafts Street, she struck MV2 that was parked on the side of the road on in front of 601 Washington Street. The operator stated she was not injured. MV1 had damage to the front passenger side and MV2 had damage to the rear driver side.

ON 7-14-22 AT APPROX. 1348HRS. WHILE WORKING N492 I TOOK A REPORT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 899 WASHINGTON ST ( V-NAILS SPA PARKING LOT ) I SPOKE TO THE DRIVER OF VEHICLE #1. DRIVER STATES SHE WAS PARKED IN A STALL IN THE LOT CHECKING DIRECTIONS TO SEE WHERE SHE WAS GOING WHEN SHE WAS HIT BY VEHICLE #2. VEHICLE #2 DRIVER STATES SHE WAS TRYING TO PULL INTO THE LOT NEXT TO VEHICLE #1. SHE STATES SHE CUT IT TOO CLOSE AND HIT VEHICLE #1 WITH HER VEHICLE. VEHICLE #1 HAD LEFT REAR SCRAPES. VEHICLE #2 HAD FRONT RIGHT SCRAPES. BOTH PARTIES REPORTED NO INJURIES. BOTH PARTIES ADVISED TO CONTACT THEIR INSURANCE COMPANIES. CLEARED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

On Thursday, July 14, 2022, while assigned to unit N497, I responded to a 2 car MVA in front of 1082 Centre Street, Newton. Centre Street is a public way maintained by the City of Newton. The weather at the time of the crash was clear and sunny. The road surface was dry. The operator of MV1, Ms. Maria Lima Marte (S26852151) stated she was operating her 2009 Nissan Versa (MA: 8TL115) on Centre Street (N) towards Commonwealth Avenue. Ms. Lima Marte stated traffic was stopped at a red light when MV2 crashed into the rear of her vehicle. I observed damage to the rear bumper of MV1. Ms. Lime Marte and her passenger, Ms. Adianel Diaz Lima reported no injuries. The operator of MV2, Mr. Travis Roth (SA4230808) stated he was operating his 2019 Subaru Crosstrek (MA: 1WCL95) on Centre Street (N) towards Commonwealth Avenue. Mr. Roth stated he wasn't paying attention to the roadway and was focusing on the GPS in his vehicle. Mr. Roth stated the front end of his vehicle crashed into the rear of MV1. I observed damage to the front bumper area of MV2. Mr. Roth reported no injuries.

MV 1 WAS TRAVELING EAST ON WASHINGTON ST WHEN AN UNKNOWN MV TRAVELING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION CROSSED THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE INTO HIS LANE AND COMING RIGHT AT HIM. IN ORDER TO AVOID A POSSIBLE COLLISION MV 1 STEPPED ON THE BREAKS AND THAT IS WHEN MV 2 (WHO WAS TRAVELING BEHIND HIM) REAR ENDED HIS VEHICLE. DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO MV 1 AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. MV 2 STATED THAT SHE WAS TRAVELING BEHIND MV 1 AND WHEN MV 1 STOPPED, SHE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO REACT AND STRUCK HIS MV FROM BEHIND. DUE TO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT IN MV 2, THE OPERATOR WAS EVALUATED BY MEDICS AND SIGNED A PATIENT REFUSAL. FRONT END DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO MV 2 AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY TODYS TO THEIR LOT.

MV1 stated she was traveling southbound on Lowell Ave when she locked up the brakes and came to an abrupt stop due to a turkey coming into the roadway. MV2 was travelling southbound behind MV1 and his vehicle struck MV1 in the rear causing severe front end damage to his vehicle (MV2) and heavy damage to the rear of her vehicle (MV1). MV1 spoke with Fallon Ambulance and signed a patient refusal. MV1 did not require a tow. Both front seat airbags in MV2 deployed and required a tow. MV2 also spoke with Fallon Ambulance and signed a patient refusal.

On Monday, July 18, 2022, while assigned to unit N493, I responded to the area of 1750 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton for a reported crash. The weather at the time of the crash was overcast and cloudy. The road surface was dry. Commonwealth Avenue is a public way maintained by the City of Newton. The operator of MV1, Ms. Elizabeth Fabrizio (S29560661) stated she was stopped at a red light in her 2012 Acura MDX (MA:157SE7) on Commonwealth Avenue (W) just before Washington Street. Ms. Fabrizio stated while stopped at the light, MV2 crashed into the rear of her vehicle. I observed damage to the rear bumper area of MV1. Ms. Fabrizio and her passenger, Ms. Mary Daley, reported no injuries. The operator of MV2, Mr. DJ Kirby-Thomas (S32655458) stated he was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado (MA CON: S87959) on Commonwealth Avenue (W) towards Washington Street. Mr. Kirby-Thomas stated while operating his vehicle he became distracted by the GPS in his vehicle and his front end crashed into the rear of MV1. I observed damage to the front bumper area of MV2. Mr. Kirby-Thomas reported no injuries. Mr. Kirby-Thomas was provided with Massachusetts Uniform Citation 519268AB in hand for Newton City Ordinance Chapter 19, Section 75 (Fail To Use Care).

On 7/14/22 at approximately 13:30 oper #1 parked his vehicle in a parking spot at 401 Watertown Street. MV #2 did not see him park and backed into him as he was trying to leave the parking lot. Minor damage on both vehicles.

Vehicle 1 was traveling in the left hand lane of the westbound side of Washington St when Vehicle 2 pulled out of a driveway and struck her rear passenger side. Vehicle 2 was pulling out of 777 Washing St and a large truck was parked in the right lane blocking her view as she exited. As she proceeded she struck the rear passenger side of vehicle 1. No reported injuries. No tows.

Operator of Motor Vehicle # 1 stated they were traveling Eastbound on Washington Street and used their right turn signal and started slowing down to take a right turn into the main entrance of Newton Wellesley Hospital and was struck from behind by Motor Vehicle # 2 causing moderate rear end damage. Operator of Motor Vehicle #2 stated that he was traveling Eastbound on Washington Street and moved into the right lane in an attempt to get out of the ambulances way which had its lights and sirens activated. Operator of Motor Vehicle #2 stated that Motor Vehicle #1 stopped short and he did not have enough time to break and struck the vehicle from behind. Motor Vehicle # 2 sustained no damage. All parties signed medical refusal forms.

LE, Chieu (RI OLN 3218891) reported she was parked in the parking lot of 64 Eldredge St. when her vehicle (MV1 - RI Reg JX720) was struck by a vehicle, causing minor damage to the front right bumper. No tow needed. Accident occurred on 7/12/22 between 1400-1800 hrs. KANODE, Amanda (MA OLN S34810658) is a client and stated via e-mail that she backed into MV1 in the parking lot and thought there was no damage. Registered to KANODE is MA Reg 66P630 (MV2). She left her phone number and I left a voicemail to confirm details.

The owner of MV#1 stated she parked her vehicle in the municipal parking lot located at 16 Hartford St. When she returned to her vehicle she observed MV#2 (Parked behind her vehicle) touching her rear bumper. The owner of MV#1 stated she had parked her vehicle approximately 1.5 hours ago and MV#2 was not parked behind her previously. The owner of MV#1 showed me her parking receipt (Parking space #5548) and it displayed a time stamp of 11:19 AM. The owner of MV#2 arrived shortly after and stated to me, "don't give me a ticket. I'm leaving". I stated to the owner of MV#2 that I responded for a vehicle accident and not for a parking violation. I showed the owner of MV#2 that the front of her vehicle was touching the rear of MV#1 and she stated that MV#1 hit her vehicle instead of the other way around. The owner of MV#2 stated she had parked her vehicle (Parking space #5549 ) approximately 40 minutes prior to my arrival but did not have a parking receipt because she never paid for parking. The owner of MV#2 stated she may not have been aware she made contact with MV#1 when she parked her vehicle. Both involved vehicles were unoccupied during this accident. both vehicle owners exchanged information and were advised to notify their insurance providers. There were minor/ non visible damages to the rear end area of MV#1 and minor/ non visible damages to the front end of MV#2.

Owner states sometime between the evening of July 16, 2022 and the morning of July 17, 2022, his vehicle was parked unoccupied in the parking lot unoccupied next to his residence and was struck on it's drive side by an unknown vehicle. I observed damage to the rear passenger side door/fender area. No cameras are present in the area. No vehicles parked in the lost appeared to have fresh damage. Owner of vehicle was advised.

MV1 was traveling eastbound on Webster Street when it collided with unoccupied parked MV2. MV1 sustained damage to the front passenger side fender. MV2 sustained damage to the drivers side ranging from the rear of the vehicle to the front. No injuries were reported. MV1 was still operable. Owner of MV2 responded to headquarters after the incident and confirmed her information. MV1 operator showed us her valid driver's license from Uganda. Ms. Kaboyo was advised to obtain a MA driver's license.
