MV1 was parked in the corner spot in the center island of the parking lot. MV2 was turning right around the MV to approach the dumpster and misjudged the distance and struck MV1. MV2 is a Waste Management truck contracted by the City of Newton. I took pictures and they were TOT IT.

Operator of vehicle one stated that while driving westbound on Adella Ave the rear driver's side of his vehicle struck the front driver's side mirror of vehicle two. There was no damage to either vehicle. Vehicle two was parked unoccupied in front of 30 Adella Ave at an angle.There was another unoccupied vehicle parked across from 30 Adella Ave further constricting the roadway. Both occupants of vehicle one stated that they were not injured. Photos of both vehicles were taken and the disk was downloaded by the N PD's IT bureau. Adella Ave is a pubilc way in the City of Newton.

M/V #1 WAS TAKING A RIGHT TURN ONTO CENTRE ST WHEN IT STRUCK A TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHT ON THE SIDEWALK. THE LIGHT WAS KNOCKED OVER AND DAMAGED. TRAFFIC RESPONDED AND TOOK PHOTOS.

On 1/18/19 at approximately 1200hrs, a party who wished to remain anonymous reported observing a tractor trailer travelling on Washington St W/B at #1479 where the street curves to the right struck a traffic light pole in front of Burke & Blackington Funeral Home. The side of the trailer struck the pole. It was reported the operator, a non descript black male, stopped after the collision, picked up the downed pole and moved it onto the sidewalk. Markings observed on the trailer were "Powered Transportation" out of Laurel, Mississippi. Unknown plates. Operator left scene and as of this time, it hasn't been reported by the operator. Photos were taken of the downed pole and submitted to the IT bureau. Daigle Electric notified to respond. Google search of "Powered Transportation" was negative results.

MV1 was stopped at a red light north on Tremont St at Waverly Ave. MV2 was stopped behind MV1. MV2 reached for something and her foot slipped off the gas and she bumped the rear of MV1. All parties agreed that it was a tap from behind and that there was no damage to either MV. However, there were 2 special needs students on the van that go to NNHS. Amb1 responded and obtained refusals from both parents who responded to the scene. I took pictures of both MVs and TOT IT.

Vehicle 1 was traveling east on Washington Street. The operator of vehicle 1 states he felt the steering wheel pull hard to the right. The operator of vehicle 1 then pulled the steering wheel to the left in attempt to correct the pulling to the right. At this time the vehicle began to pull harder to the right and ended up striking the curb and a concrete light pole. The concrete pole is owned by the City of Newton, pictures taken and submitted to IT. MED2 responded and obtained a patient refusal. Eversource was notified and responded to disconnect the power. After the power was disconnected Todys was able to remove the vehicle. I was able to move the disconnected light pole and some debris to make the sidewalk passable. Eversource placed a cone over the disconnected wires and I was able to tape off the downed pole. Dispatch notified the city for the pole and to clean up the debris.

The OP of MV#1 states while travelling northbound on Moulton Street, he observed MV#2 sanding the intersection of Cornell Street so he stopped. MV#2 then started reversing in his direction and when MV#2 didn't stop, the OP. of MV#1 then honked his horn but they still collided. The OP. of MV#2 states he was sanding Cornell Street and was doing a U-turn at the intersection of Moulton Street. He didn't observe MV#1 being on Moulton Street at this time so continued sanding the area. When he reversed, that's when his rear tire collided with MV#1. Pictures were taken by me.

V.1 Was stopped at the intersection of Walnut St and Comm Ave Southbound waiting for the traffic light to turn green when they were hit by V.2 in the rear of their vehicle. V.2 came to a complete stop behind V.1. When the left lane turn arrow turned green V.2 pulled forward a little and struck V.1 in the rear.There was no visible damage to either vehicle. Pictures were taken and turned into IT.

The operator of MV#1 stated that he was traveling east on Washington St in the right hand lane in front of #1232 Washington St when his MV was struck by MV#2, who was also traveling east on Washington St in the left bound lane. The female operator of MV#2 pulled over initially, but then left the area. Operator #1 took a photograph of MV#2 and reports a female was operating Ma. Reg. 5HW272, a Toyt. Highlander. Mansfield PD notified and will have owner of MV#2 contact me.

MV1 was parked unoccupied in a spot on the street. MV2 backed into MV1. MV2 stated that MV1 was completely in his blind spot and he did not see it while backing. I took pictures of the damage to the MVs and TOT IT.

No vehicle was observed in the area of the incident. It was observed that a 2 hour parking sign had been struck. Visible tire marks were on the sidewalk/ curb of Pembroke St. It was observed that the tire marks from the vehicle and the way the street sign fell that the vehicle was possibly traveling southbound on Pembroke St and crossed over to the left side of the roadway striking the sign. 3 pictures were taken at the scene and submitted to IT. City of Newton notified about damages.

Operator of vehicle one, Keith DeVincent stated that on 04/09/2019 at approximately 10:00 hours he parked his vehicle ( MA reg 9WM464 2015 Nissan ) facing north on Colonial Ave across from number 28. DeVincent stated that he observed a white city of Newton pick up truck towing a trailer hit his vehicle's driver side mirror with the truck's passenger side mirror. DeVincent stated that the truck that struck his vehicle did not stop. Vehicle one driver's side mirror had minor damage. I was able to track down the city Parks and Recreation truck. Operator of vehicle two Ralph Annese stated that he was driving a city of Newton Parks and Recreation truck ( MA reg MVN M 95256 ) north on Colonial Ave on 04/09/2009 at approximately 10:00 hours . Annese stated that he did not realize that his vehicle struck DeVincent's vehicle . Vehicle two had no damage. I took photos of both vehicles and forwarded the disk to the NPD's IT bureau.

Patrice Lys was operating vehicle #2 on Brandies Rd. Lys states that vehicle #1 was about to back out of the driveway so he stopped. Lys state that the vehicle did not back out so he started to drive again, at that point vehicle #1 backed out of the driveway and struck his vehicle on the left rear. Azad Chitchian was operating vehicle #1. Azad states that she saw vehicle #2 stop to let her out of her driveway, she then went to back out of her driveway and vehicle #2 struck her. Aghavni Gevorgyan was witness. Aghavni confirms Azad's version of events. Aghavni and Azad are known to each other. Azad was transported to NWH. I took pictures, no traffic officers working.

Vehicle one was traveling westbound on Franklin street and taking a right hand turn to head north on Waverly Ave when the female operator overturned the wheel and struck pole number 21 on the corner of Nonantum St and Waverly ave. The male passenger then stated for the female party to leave the driver seat of the vehicle. The male party took possession of the vehicle and drove off. Witnesses stated that a female was driving and a male party then took over possession of the car and drove off. Witnesses then wrote down the license plate of the vehicle. Officer Anderson responded to the operators residence to check on well being and spoke to the male party. The male party stated he left the scene and stated that his daughter was learning to drive and she only has her learners permit when she overturned the wheel taking a right hand turn and struck the pole. Male party stated he didn't think there was damage to the pole so he left the scene, since the female party was shook up. Pictures were taken and submitted to IT.

On 05/02/19 while on patrol I observed a Traffic Light Post knocked over and resting against a damaged wooden fence. The pole appears to have been struck by a vehicle as there are tire marks leading up to the base. The pole is resting against a new six (6) foot tall unpainted wooden fence belonging to #127 Elliot St. There was no response at the residence so I left a note for the homeowner on the front door. Pictures were taken by Traffic Officer Wade and dispatch notified the light company- Daigle Light . I caution taped off the area and pole to make it safe for passers by. There is no information on the vehicle that struck the pole and a canvass of the area revealed no further leads.

MV1 stated he was attempting to turn left onto Crafts St from Walnut St when the back end of his tractor trailer made contact with a light pole and knocked it over due to "the lane not being made for these kinds of trucks." The trailer sustained minor damage and the light pole was completely uprooted and across the sidewalk. Photos of the scene were captured and turned over to the IT Bureau. Daigle Electric notified of the damage to the pole.

Operator of vehicle one stated that while driving west bound near 697 Washington St her vehicle's passenger side mirror struck vehicle's two driver's side mirror. Operator of vehicle one stated that a large truck that was driving next to her vehicle west bound that was coming close to her vehicle. Vehicle two was parked unoccupied in front of 697 Washington St. Vehicle's one's passenger mirror was damaged and vehicle's two was not damaged. Neither vehicle required a tow and operator of vehicle one stated that she was not injured. I took photos of both vehicles and forward the disk to the NPD's IT Bureau.

Vehicle 1 operator backed out of his parking space and and made contact with the rear bumper of vehicle 2. vehicle was unoccupied and had no visable damage. Vehicle 1 had minor damage to back bumper. Pictures were taken of both vehicles and the memory card was given to IT. No injuries were reported.

Responded to Chestnut St and Pennsylvania Ave for a St sign down. The sign was on the sidewalk apparently struck by a M/v. An unknown witness stated that a truck MA46469 knocked the sign over. I took several photo's of the sign. The plate comes back as cancelled.

Operator 1 stated he was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens heading northbound on Center Street. He stopped at the intersection at a red light before proceeding through. He stated he checked both directions and then proceeded ahead and struck the side of vehicle 2. He stated that he did not see vehicle 2. Operator 2 stated that he was heading northbound on Walnut street and had a green light. He stated that he proceeded through the intersection and did not see vehicle 1 and was struck on the drivers side. Photos taken by Officer Brooks of both vehicles

On 07/02/2019, while assigned to N494, I, Officer Conary, and Officer Anderson (N502) responded to Kenrick Street for a MVA. Upon arrival, I met with witness GRAU, who told me that he observed MV1 traveling Westbound on Kenrick Street. MV2 was exiting Dorr Road onto Kenrick Street and quickly went across the lanes of traffic and hit the stone wall at 337 Kenrick Street. MV1 swerved and hit MV2 on the front right side. Operator of MV1 stated that he was traveling Westbound when MV2 quickly exited Dorr Road and went across Kenrick Street. Operator of MV1 swerved but hit MV2 on the front right side. MV1 had heavy front end damage. Operator of MV2 stated that she stopped on Dorr Road waiting to turn onto Kenrick Street. MV2 began to roll back slightly due to being on a hill. Operator of MV2 pressed the gas to move up but pressed it too much which caused her to accelerated across Kenrick Street. MV2 then hit the stone wall at 337 and then MV2 collided with MV1. MV2 had heavy front end and right side damage. All operators and passengers were offered and signed patient refusals from the medics. Both motor vehicles were towed from the scene. Pictures were taken of the property damage to be submitted to IT accordingly. No further incident to report.

On Monday July 22nd, 2019 at 0200 hours, I responded to the intersection of Beacon St and Langley Rd for a hit and run with property damage. One of the City of Newton street signs and street lights located on Langley Rd was knocked over by a vehicle. Based on the damage, it appears the vehicle went the wrong way and drove west on Langley Rd past the intersection and struck the traffic sign and traffic light. Their were no witnesses to this hit and run and pictures were taken at the scene.

OPERATOR #1 STATED SHE WAS TRAVELLING E/B ON NEWTONVILLE AVE APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF HARVARD ST WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE COMING W/B ON NEWTONVILLE AVE FORCED HER TO HER RIGHT WHICH CAUSING HER TO SIDE SWIPE A PARKED VEHICLE. SHE FURTHER REPORTED IF SHE DIDN'T MOVE OVER TO HER RIGHT SHE WOULD HAVE WENT HEAD ON INTO THE ONCOMING VEHICLE. OWNER OF VEHICLE #2(PARKED CAR) WAS WORKING NEARBY WAS ON SCENE ON MY ARRIVAL. THEY BOTH HAD ALREADY EXCHANGED INFO AND HAD TAKEN PICTURES OF DAMAGE PRIOR TO POLICE ARRIVAL TO SCENE. DRIVER OF VEHICLE #1 REPORTED NO INJURIES AND HAD A PRIVATE COMPANY TOW HER CAR TO DIRECT TIRE DUE TO HER HITTING A CURB AFTER HITTING VEHICLE #2. NEWTONVILLE AVE ALLOWS PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE STREET. VEHICLES DRIVING E/B HAVE TO TRAVEL HALFWAY ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD TO GET AROUND THEM THUS CAUSING A HAZARD WHEN VEHICLES ARE COMING WESTBOUND AT THE SAME TIME.

MV1 was travelling southbound onWaltham St and instead of turning right onto Washington St drove straight over the island striking a planter. The planter became stuck under the vehicle causing undercarriage damage. The driver's side rear tire was also flat. Operator was arrested & charged with the following 90/24J OUI Liquor 90/24V Child Endangerment while OUI 90/24E Negligent Operation 90/24C Leaving the Scene of Property Damage 89/4A Marked Lanes Tody's Towing removed the vehicle without incident. Photos of the scene were taken and turned over to the IT Bureau.

Newton Ladder 1(MV2) was leaving a call on Stanton Ave. MV2 was trying to squeeze between a legally parked MV(MV1) and an illegally parked MV. MV2 side swiped MV1 on the rear drivers side. There was no damage to MV2. Pictures were taken by me and TOT IT.

On 10/02/2019, while assigned to N492, I, Officer Conary, responded to the area of Lowell Ave and Highland Ave for a report of a hit and run involving a utility pole. Reporting parties stated that a dark colored Ford pick up truck, with Florida registration, hit the pole and continued to drive from the scene. No full registration was reported. Myself and Officer March (N491) checked the area with negative results. MV1 hit utility pole 43/25 on Lowell Ave. There is significant damage to the pole. Eversource was notified. Pictures were taken and submitted to IT accordingly. No further incident to report.

MV1 was parked in a legal spot facing southbound in the parking lot of 33 Austin St. MV2 was attempting to back up when he struck MV1. Operator 2 states he did not know he was so close to MV1 and backed up into him. No injuries. No tows needed. MV1 sustianed minor damage to the rear. MV2 sustained minor damage to the rear passenger side. 6 photos taken and placed into IT.

Operator of vehicle one, city of Newton DPW worker Michael Barrile, stated that at 12:00 hours on 11/18/2019 he parked city of Newton trailer #240 ( 2019 Cam MA reg PMV M4688A ) north bound in front of 290 Adams St. Adams St is a public way in the city of Newton. Barrile stated that he left his vehicle. Ofc M.Boudereau and Ofc Donovan were directing traffic in the area due to a large funeral procession. Ofc M. Boudereau stated that he saw a white compact vehicle strike the rear driver's side of the trailer and not stop. I canvassed the area with negative results. I took photos of the minor damage to the trailer's rear driver's side brake light .

Vehicle 1 operator states that he was backing out of a parking space at 115 Winchester St. when he heard a crunching sound coming from the front passenger door. The operator exited the vehicle and noticed that he had hit a large wooden flower pot. There was minor damage to the front passenger door of N-498. Officer Ferguson responded and took pictures of the damage. No injuries.

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, I met with Officer Lazarakis at 25 Chestnut Street, Newton for a report of damage to Newton Police unmarked cruiser 1325. Officer Lazarakis stated she was retrieving an item out of the front passenger side door of the 2017 Ford Fusion (MA: 7HD877) when she observed a medium size dent near the door. Officer Lazarakis stated she does not know when or where the damage occurred. The vehicle has been moved several times in the last few days. The vehicle is typically parked in the rear parking lot of 25 Chestnut Street. It appears the dent was caused by a vehicle backing into the side of the vehicle. I observed no paint transfer or any other physical evidence left by the unknown vehicle. Pictures were taken to document the damage to the front passenger side door and submitted to the IT Bureau. IT was asked to check the surveillance cameras at 25 Chestnut Street to see if the incident was captured. I checked the area for vehicles for damage consistent to the damage on 1325 with a negative result.

MV1 stated he got off the Mass Pike Eastbound at exit 17, and once at the top of the ramp, his GPS directed him to take a left onto Washington St. While responding to a separate call, I witnessed MV1 traveling the wrong direction (NE) in the area of 320 Washington St. (one way section of rotary). I activated my blue lights and pulled up to MV1, telling the operator the street was a one way and he needed to turn around. The operator stated he had room to turn around, at which point I blocked Washington St. While turning around, the trailer of MV1 struck a City of Newton concrete light pole and knocked it down. The concrete pole was taped and coned off, and Daigle was notified to respond. Photos were taken and submitted to the IT bureau.

MV1 was traveling south on Washburn St. He attempted to park the vehicle in the area of 35 Washburn St. While parking the right rear of the vehicle struck a construction barrel causing minor scratches by the right rear wheel. There were no injuries and no tows needed. Photos were taken of the scene and forwarded to IT.

Reporting party parked her father's MV (MV1) infront of 4 Marlboro St (public way) facing northbound near the Tremont St intersection at approximately 1930 hours on Saturday 11/30/19. Reporting party was not present during the incident. A witness observed MV2 operated by an unknown party slowly sideswipe MV1. Witness stated the MV2 operator did not exchange paper work and left the scene immediately. Witness took a photo of the incident and forwarded it to reporting party when they met this morning. MV1 sustained heavy damage to the left rear bump and rear left side. No known injuries, no towed required. Reporting party dropped MV1 off at Honda Dealership on Washington St, and we transported the reporting party from Honda Dealership to her new address. Reporting party forward me the photo of the incident, and it has been forwarded to the IT Bureau. MV2 belonged to a Landscaping company, and I was unable to reach a party at this time. Traffic Bureau Update (Officer Gaudet): On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, I attempted to make contact with the registered owner of MV2, Brian Vassar (S88865602) with a negative result. A Hit and Run inquiry was mailed to Vassar.

Aram Tashjian was operating vehicle 1, N/B on Elliot St. Aram states that when he was going around the bend on the street he lost control of the vehicle, striking the guardrail. No injuries. Tow by Todys. I took pictures of the City guardrail.

Operator 1 states she was backing into a parking spot at Sumner St @ Willow St. While backing up she struck a City Of Newton parking meter knocking it to the ground. There was minor damage to the meter and to the vehicle. There were no injuries. Photos of the scene were taken and sent to IT.

The operator of vehicle number 1 stated she was traveling west-bound on Beacon Street and did not see vehicle number 2 parked on the side of the road and struck the drivers side mirror with her passenger's side mirror The operator of vehicle number 2 stated he was parked on the west-bound side of Beacon Street running radar when vehicle number 1 struck his driver's side mirror Neither party reported any injuries Vehicle number 1 sustained mine scratches to passenger's side mirror vehicle number 2 sustained minor scratches to driver's side mirror Several pictures of the damage were taken and submitted.

Operator of MV2 was traveling north on Blake St in the area of 20 Blake St. He attempted to travel around MV1, which was parked the wrong way in front of 20 Blake. A vehicle stopped southbound caused limited room for MV2 to get through while passing MV1. While attempting to pass, the passenger side rear of MV2 made contact with the rear passenger side of MV1. The collision cause minor damage to each vehicle. There were no tows or injuries. Photos were taken of the scene and submitted to IT.

Owner of V1 stated while shopping, Ruth (HomeGoods employee), called her plate number over the speakers in the store. Ruth told the Owner of V1 she just witnessed a MVA involving her car. Ruth took a photo of the involved vehicle and watched V2 leave. Owner of V1 came and explained what happened to me. Ruth sent the photo to the Owner of V1. V1 sustained damage on the left rear side of the vehicle. I spoke to Ruth, she stated she watched V2 drive in, attempt to turn left into a spot, hit the vehicle, and leave right away. Ruth stated she took a photo of V2's plate and then went to the store to call it over the speakers. Ruth stated at no time did V2 stop. Ruth spoke to the owner and explained what happened. During the investigation, I spoke to the Opr of V2. She stated she was in the parking lot, but does not remember hitting a vehicle. Opr of V2 gave me all necessary information and apologized. V2 has minor damage on the right front side consistent with the damage of V1. V2 will not be charged. No injuries.

M.V. #1 Was attempting to park on Herrick Rd when the passenger side of her front bumper struck the drivers side rear bumper of parked veh #2. Inside parked veh#2 was on duty Newton Parking Control Officer Lorin Amendola who was unhurt. Very minor damage to both vehicles. There were no pictures taken due to the fact Amendola was in her personal vehicle.

Operator of vehicle #1 stated he was attempting to make a right turn onto Washingto St. From Waltham St. Driver stated he was attempting to navigate the turn as well road work being conducted in the area. Operator stated the right top rear of vehicle #1 caught the traffic signal pole knocking the traffic light portion of the pole off. Photo's were taken and submitted by traffic.

Operator of vehicle one Waste Management employee David Echeverria stated on 06/01/2020 at 12:11 hours he was driving MA com reg V36945 a 2009 Expedi trash truck south bound on Johnson Pl to pick up trash barbells. John Pl is a dead end public way in the city of Newton. Waste Management is contracted by the city of Newton to collect trash. Echeverria stated that since John Pl is a dead end it is common practice to back the truck in because making a three point turn at the end of the street would not be feasible. Echeverria stated that MA reg 3SH854 a 2012 Nissan was parked unoccupied facing north bound near 12 Johnson Pl. it should be noted that parking is only permitted on Johnson Pl by city of Newton issued permit only. Echeverria stated that while he backed his truck up the front passenger side bumper made contact with the Nissan's front driver's side quarter panel, front driver's side mirror and front driver's side tire. Owner of vehicle two Mandar Kasture stated he parked his vehicle on Johnson Pl without a parking permit. Since Kasture's vehicle was illegally parked , I issued him a verbal warring. I took photos of both vehicles and turned the disk over to the NPD's IT bureau for downing loading.

On Thursday, June 11th 2020, at approximately 9pm, I, Officer Brooks, responded to 92 North street for a report of a car into a utility pole. Upon my arrival I observed MV1(MA REG 1HRN55) on the side of the road with heavy damage to the majority of the vehicle. I spoke with the operator who stated that he was traveling northbound on North street when his steering wheel stopped functioning as he approached a bend in the road. The operator stated he left the roadway striking a utility pole, and rolling his car at least 3 times. The operator was complaining of leg pain and dizziness and was transported to NWH by Cataldo for further evaluation. MV1 was towed by Tody's and an inventory form was filed. Eversource was notified for significant damage to the utility pole. Pictures were taken and submitted to the IT bureau.

On 08/12/20 at approximately 13:53 I responded to the intersection of Charlemont St and Roland St for a truck that had taken down some wires. Upon arrival I saw a Harvey Building truck in the middle of the intersection with power and cable lines resting on its cab. I spoke with the operator/employee Bernard McLain who stated he was traveling on Charlemont St and attempted to take a right in the middle of the road as to avoid the low hanging wires. As he took the right, McLain realized he had started to pull on the wires and immediately stopped. Verizon pole #602/10 along with its wires were pulled down and the pole is presently leaning. Verizon and Eversource were notified to respond. At approximately 15:30 a Newton Police Detail relieved me to take over the scene. Photos of the scene were taken and emailed to our I.T. Bureau for attachment to this report. There was no apparent damage to the truck.

On Monday 11/2/2020 at approx 0700hrs, while operating cruiser 504 and assigned N494, I was located at 90 Crafts St in Newton. While backing up my cruiser to turn around I struck a solid cement block, cracking the driver side tail-light and scratching the paint around it. It should be noted there was no signs of damage to the cement block. Photos were taken and submitted.

On Wednesday November 25, 2020 at approximately 1029 hours I responded to 88 Central Ave for a MVA hit and run reported by Detail Officer T. McCarthy. MV1 operator was located in their driveway at their address. MV1 operator stated she attempted to back out of 88 Central Ave and did not realize she struck MV2, which was parked in front of 83 Central Ave. Central Ave is a public way. There was no reported injury at this time. Minor damage was done to both MVs, but no tow required. MV1 sustained rear right brake light damage ( broken) and paint transfer. MV2 sustained front left bumper damage and paint transfer. MV1 operator stated she did not have license at this time. MV1 operator driver status was confirmed suspended by Newton Dispatch. Please see incident report #20059699. Photos were forwarded to I.T. Bureau.

Operator 1 stated that he was parked in a designated parking space in the lot of 259 Centre street when he viewed mv#2 backing up and getting close to mv#1. Operator #1 stated that he beeped his horn to alert mv#2. Mv#2 then struck the front passenger side of mv#1. Operator of mv#2 stated that he was backing up and did not realize that mv#1 was still parked there, he had believed the vehicle had moved. Mv#2 struck mV#1 with the rear of the passenger side. No injuries. Minor damage and paint transfer. All vehicle could be driven from the scene. Photos taken.

On Tuesday 12/22/2020, at approximately 1730 hours, I, Ofc Donald Murphy, met a party at the front desk in regards to a hit and run incident. I spoke with Andrew Shvetts, who stated his wife Tetianna Shvets's vehicle was struck today in the parking lot of Baza grocery market from 10 am-11 am. The owner of MV 1, Tetianna Shvets was shopping at Baza grocery market while her vehicle, MV 1, was parked in the parking lot. When Tetianna returned to her vehicle there was a note on her windshield stating MV 2 struck her vehicle "possibly" on the right rear side and left the scene. The plate of the vehicle was left on the note as well. There was no contact information of the witness left on the note or any manner of collision. There was minimal damage (a few scratches) on MV 1. Andrew provided photos of the damage to the vehicle and the note left on the windshield.The photos of the damage and note are attached to this report. The plate came back to 79 Wheeler Rd in Newton. I went to the address to follow up with the operator of MV 2. I spoke with the owner and operator of MV 2, Mrs. Lyuba Regelman. Lyuba admitted to shopping at Baza grocery market today. Lyuba denied hitting MV1 and there was no damage to her vehicle I could see that matched the damage from the incident. I will not be seeking charges on Lyuba for leaving the scene because there is no contact information of the witness and there is no matching damage to MV 2.

The operator of vehicle 1 was travelling westbound on Cornell St. Vehicle 1 travelled through the intersection of Cornell and Grove St, and struck the stop sign on the opposite side of Cornell St. The stop sign was completely knocked over. Vehicle 1 was registered to 6 Colgate Cir. I observed vehicle 1 parked in the driveway at 6 Colgate Cir, there was minor damage to the front license plate. No one was injured. Photos were taken of the stop sign, and submitted to the IT bureau.

Operator of Vehicle #1 stated that he was operating Newton Marked Cruiser 491 Eastbound on Washington Street. After stopping at the red light at the intersection of Lowell Ave, he traveled forward and struck the rear bumper of Vehicle #2. Operator #1 was not injured and the cruiser was not damaged. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Operator of Vehicle #2 stated that she was traveling Eastbound on Washington Street at the intersection of Lowell Ave. After stopping at the red light she began to travel forward when her vehicle was struck from behind by Vehicle #1. Operator #2 stated that she was not injured. Vehicle #2 had minor damage to the rear bumper, which was photographed and submitted to the IT Bureau.

MV1 was parking for an unrelated call and side swiped parked MV2. No injuries to any party. Minor damage to MV1 and MV2. Pictures taken and forwarded to IT.

The operator of MV1 stated she parked her department of public works city vehicle, MA REG M7917A in the public parking lot of Wegmans located at 200 Boylston street at 1pm and when she came back to her vehicle around 2pm she noticed minor damage to the drivers side panel. MV1 stated there were no witnesses and she does not recall what vehicle was parked next to her. There are no cameras in the area. Pictures of the damage were taken and submitted to the IT Bureau. MV1 was able to leave the scene without further incident.

MV 1 was plowing the parking lot of 55 Saco St when he struck the left rear of MV 2. MV 2 was parked in a parking spot and struck by MV 1. MV 1 sustained no damage to the truck or plow. MV 2 sustained minor damage to the left rear light and bumper. MV 1 is a plow truck owned by the City of Newton. Photos were taken of both vehicles and the scene with the camera in N495 and turned into IT.

Vehicle #1 a City of Newton Street Sweeper was traveling east on California St. at the intersection of California and Crafts when it stopped and reversed to go west in the east bound travel lane. At the same time Vehicle #2 was traveling south on Crafts St. and took a right turn to go east on California St. Once Vehicle #2 Made the turn onto California St. Vehicle #1 Reversed into its front end. Vehicle #1 sustained minor damage to its rear end. Vehicle #2 sustained minor damage to its front end. There were no injuries. Photos were taken of the damage and passed along to The Newton Police IT Bureau.

The reporting person(unknown) said that a truck with a crane on the back struck the mailbox and traffic lights at Harvard and Newtonville. The truck kept going towards Newton Corner. RP stated Indiana Plate 261934, didn't come back to anything. Dagle was called over a broken traffic light. USPS was called due to green mailbox being knocked over and opened. Postal worker responded to take possession of the mail. 526 took pictures.

On 06/21/2021 at approx. 0545 hrs I was at the Yard at 52 Elliot Street speaking with other officers. I was parked between cruisers N500 and N498. A large bee flew into the window of N507 and was in the area of my face. I was unable to open the cruiser door so I attempted to pull the cruiser forward and did not realize the wheels of the cruiser were angled and I hit the back passenger side corner of N498 causing damage to the light and the rear quarter. The damage to N507 was the passenger side front and rear door. Photos were taken and submitted to the IT department. No injuries were sustained. Both cruisers were able to be driven.

On Wednesday 6/23/21 at approx 0922hrs, while assigned to N495, I responded to 1314 Centre St, Holly's Cleaners, for a single car MVA into a building. There I met the operator of MV1, Ellen Silver, who stated she was just pulling into the parking lot when she stepped on the brakes but the car did not stop. MV1 made contact with the building damaging a wall and breaking a window. Newton City Inspector Jeff Johnson arrived on scene and deemed the building to be safe. Medics evaluated the operator who signed a refusal. Pictures were taken by Off. Wilson. Vehicle was towed by Tody's.

Operator of vehicle one stated that while making a right turn onto Commonwealth Ave from Washington St the rear passenger side of his load on a flatbed trailer struck the traffic light at the south west corner. Vehicle one had no damage and did not require a tow. I took photos of the vehicle involved and the traffic light.The vehicle involved is registered out of Canada and was making a delivery of a modular house for Turtle Lane LLC. Operator of MV1 came to the Newton Police Station 8/17/21 at 2050 hrs to report a past hit and run that occurred an hour ago at 1950 hrs. Operator of MV1 stated they were heading Northbound on Walnut St. approaching Commonwealth Avenue. Operator of MV1 stated an unknown, dark colored SUV heading Southbound on Walnut St. sideswiped the left side of their vehicle. Operator of MV1 stated the unknown SUV continued driving Southbound and didn't stop. Operator of MV1 was unable to identify or provide a plate number of the vehicle that struck them. There were no cameras in the area or witnesses. MV1 sustained damage to the driver side mirror, the front driver side door, and rear driver side door. There were no injuries to report. Operator of MV1 stated they took pictures of the damage.

Opr of MV1 stated he was attempting to make a left hand turn on Albemarle Road. At this time, he did not see MV2 coming and made contact with it. MV1 sustained damage to the front end and was towed by Todys's. Opr of MV1 signed a refusal with the medics. Passenger of MV1 (Raymond) stated they were driving and thought they could make the turn. At this time, they struck MV2. Pass was not injured. Raymond assisted me with talking to Opr of MV2. Opr stated he was traveling on Watertown Street towards West Newton. While traveling straight MV1 drove in front of him and made contact with his vehicle. MV2 then turned and drove into the fence on the bridge of the brook. MV2 was towed by Todys's and Opr was not injured. Photos were taking at the scene and placed in the IT box to be attached due to the damage of City property.

On 9/28/21m at approx 1007Hrs while assigned to 497 I responded to the area of 386 Wolcott St for a report of downed wires. Upon arrival I observed a City of Newton DPW dump truck Ma Reg M4921A with the dump up and wires from 386 Wolcott St to pole 472/7 entangled in it. I spoke with the operator, John Carroll who stated he was raising the rear to drop the asphalt and due to heavy downpour didn't see the wires. Power company notified and responded. 2 pictures taken and turned into IT.

On 10/7/2021 at approx 1241 Hrs while assigned to 497 I responded to the area of 1631 Beacon St for a report of a hit and run that had just occurred, the complainant was stating to dispatch that a white Dodge Ram work van with ladders on the roof heading eastbound had struck his car and fled. At the time of the call I was on Beacon St near the Washington St intersection, 494, Officer Tocci radioed that he was at the intersection of Beacon and Walnut St. Officer Tocci and I travelled towards each other the length of Beacon St with no sign of the van. I spoke with the complainant, Daniel Bryan who stated he had grabbed lunch, at Stone L'oven pizza and was eating in his car while parallel parked on Beacon St. Two men, an older white male and a approximately 30-40 year old Hispanic male who had been sitting at the bar eating exited the restaurant , stared at him, got into the van parked in front of Daniel, the older white male getting into the driver seat , put the car in reverse, smashed into Daniels car damaging the front left bumper, than fled eastbound on Beacon St. Daniel states that he believed the males possibly felt he was parked too close to their van and rather than ask him to move , deliberately backed into his car intending to cause damage. Daniel has a dash camera on his car, had several photos of the van but none with a clear picture of the plate on the van. Daniel forwarded the photos to me which i submitted to IT to see if they could clean them up enough to get a plate number and attach to this report.

The OP. of MV#1 stated while travelling eastbound on Washington Street, a vehicle suddenly came at him head-on so he swerved to the next lane to avoid a collision. That vehicle (MV#3) still sideswiped his truck and struck MV#2 before continuing onward on the wrong side of the road. The OP. of MV#2 stated he was stopped on top of the median, working on the barricades for the Boston Marathon. As he opened the door to get out, MV#3 struck his car door and kept on driving down the wrong side of the road. No one could get the plate number of MV#3 and only described it as a small dark colored sedan that went westbound towards Wellesley. I notified dispatch to let Wellesley P.D. be aware of the vehicle with some front end damage. Pictures were taken by me and left with the I.T. Bureau.

Operator of MV1 states she was operating MV1 east on Washington Street in the West Newton rotary, near the off ramp from the Mass Pike. MV1 was in the 2nd travel lane. While operating MV1, the rear passenger, a child, was eating. The rear passenger was eating something spicy and the operator of MV1 thought they were choking. The operator of MV1 turned around to check on the rear passenger. MV1 then jumped the median, striking a traffic light pole, ultimately coming to rest in the 3rd travel lane. No air bag deployment and no reported injuries. Todys towed MV1. Mass DOT notified for th etraffic light and pictures taken and submitted to IT.

On November 30, 2021, N524(Ofc. Iarossi) was parked unoccupied at 292 langley Rd(north bound). Motor vehicle 2 Ma Reg 60760 was driving north on Langley Rd. MV2 was traveling/passing too close to N524 and the side view mirrors hit. Ofc. Iarossi was able to stop the MV at 210 Langley Rd and identify the operator. Lawrence Seder stated that he heard something but did not know what had happened. Ofc. Iarossi took pictures and submitted them to IT.

Operator of MV1 states he was traveling south on Concord Street and attempted to stop for the red light at Washington Street when MV1 would not stop. MV1 slid across Concord Street, striking a City of Newton no parking sign pole and the wall in front of 260 Concord Street. City notified to replace/repair sign pole. Photos taken and submitted to IT. Operator of MV1 evaluated by the medics and signed a refusal. Todys towed MV1.

MV1 (Newton City vehicle) was traveling Southbound on Garland Rd. when it side swiped a vehicle that was parked facing Southbound in front of 102 Gardland Rd. Operator of MV1 stated he did not believe he struck the vehicle, but stated he heard a loud crunch when passing MV2. MV1 was completely operational and appeared to not have sustained any damage. MV2 sustained large scrapes by the left front tire and heavy front end damage, consisting of the front bumper being almost entirely taken off. Owner of MV2 arrived on scene and stated they would be contacting their own tow company in regards to the vehicle being moved. Pictures of the scene and the damaged vehicles were taken and sent to the IT Bureau in order to be attached to this report.

The operator of MV#1 stated she accelerated once within the driveway of 45 Beecher Ter. causing her to collide into the front right corner of the home. It appears the vehicle then slid approx. 5-10 feet into the fence which runs adjacent to the driveway causing damage to both the fence and retaining wall. Damage observed to the front right corner of 45 Beecher Ter. MV#1 sustained heavy damage to its front end and was towed by its owner. No injuries reported. Homeowner of 45 Beecher Ter. on scene and took photographs of damage to his property.

Operator of Vehicle #1 was stopped in heavy traffic on Cherry Street near the intersection with Washington Street. NPD Cruiser 502 was responding to an emergency with lights and sirens activated. Vehicle #1 was moving towards the shoulder of the road to yield to the emergency vehicle. Cruiser 502 struck the driver side rear panel and bumper. Operator #1 was not injured. Operator of Vehicle #2 was responding to an emergency with lights and sirens activated. While attempting to navigate through congested traffic, Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the passenger side doors. Operator of Vehicle #2 was not injured. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Photographs taken and submitted to IT Bureau for filing.

Operator of MV1 states he was traveling on North st and turning west on to Crafts Street when he sideswiped a traffic light pole, taking the pole down. No damage to MV1. Ofc Donahue took photos to submit to IT. Lights were placed on flash, city requested for stop signs and Dagle notified.

The operator of MV1 stated she was traveling northbound on Chestnut Street approaching Boylston Street intersection. As she approached the intersection, MV2 failed to stop at the stop sign and crossed the intersection, hitting MV1. The operator of MV1 stated MV2 pulled over and the operator of MV2 and the passenger began to speak Chinese and take photos of the damage. After taking photos MV2 drove away. The operator of MV1 was not injured. MV1 had damage to the front bumper. Traffic Bureau update (Officer Gaudet): I attempted to make contact with the registered owner of MV2, Ping Wei Want, with a negative result. A "Hit and Run" inquiry was mailed to their registered address.

oper #1 stated he was turning right from Walnut onto Watertown Street when he took out the traffic lights on the corner. Dagle was contacted to fix light pole. Pictures taken and sent to IT. No damage to truck.

THE OPERATOR OF MV 1 STATED THAT WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO MERGE ONTO CENTRE AVE FROM CENTRE STREET, A LARGE RED TRUCK (TRACTOR TRAILER) WAS TRAVELING IN THE SAME DIRECTION AND TO HIS LEFT. THE TRACTOR TRAILERS RIGHT SIDE SIDESWIPED MV 1 CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE TO HIS DRIVERS SIDE. THE TRUCK CONTINUED ON HIS WAY AND NO REG PLATE WAS AVAILABLE. THE OPERATOR OF MV 1 WAS ABLE TO GET A PICTURE OF THE TRUCK BUT THE PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THE REG PLATE OR ANY OTHER DISTINCTIVE DETAILS. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND MV 1 SUSTAINED HEAVY DAMAGE.

On June 20, 2022 at approximately 1342 hours, I responded to 124 Langley Rd for a report of an MVA. Upon arrival, I spoke with owner of MV2 who stated a man named Patrick Fabrizio saw MV1 strike their MV and continue down the road(see Patricks witness statement). The owner of MV2 stated their vehicle was parked outside of 124 Langley Rd when the incident occurred. I observed damage to the driver's side mirror. Patrick was able to take a photo of MV1 plate and I was able to contact the owner and coordinate an exchange of information among the Owners. Owner of MV1 states she was driving WB on Langley Rd when she struck MV2 side mirror. No injuries or tows to be reported.

Operator of MV1 said she was traveling Eastbound on Mill Street. Operator of MV1 said she looked down for a second then when she looked up she did not have enough time to stop and struck the Utility pole (Pole 28/23). There was very minor damage to the Utility pole. There was air bag deployment and Fallon Medics came and evluated Operator of MV1. Operator of MV1 signed a patient refusal. There was heavy front end damage to MV1 and MV1 was towed away by Todys. I filled out a towed motor vehicle sheet and took pictures of the Utility pole.
